Chapter 1 - Betrayal in the Rain

Jessica's POV

"Don't stop… please…fuck me harder."

My voice broke as my fingers dug into the sheets beneath me. The bed creaked hard against the wall, each shove of Jackson's hips stealing the air from my lungs. His weight pinned me down, his skin hot and slick with sweat, his scent thick in the room—pine, smoke, and the sharp edge of power that always made my wolf curl and purr.

Jackson's cock was thick, pulsing, and harder than stone as he hovered over me. I was already dripping wet, my core aching with a desperate hunger to be filled. He grabbed my thighs, spreading them wide in a deep missionary style, and shoved my knees all the way to my shoulders.

"You feel so good," he groaned, his mouth at my neck. "Always so tight for me."

I believed every word.

My legs wrapped around his waist as he thrust deeper, filling me until my toes curled. Pleasure rushed through me fast and sharp, like fire racing through dry grass. My back arched off the mattress, my breath coming out in broken sounds I couldn't control.

"Ohh yeah, fuck me... fuck me harder, Jackson!" I screamed, my voice hitting a high, frantic note as he lunged forward.

He slid his huge dick all the way into my tight, soaking heat. The sensation was so intense I felt like I was floating on Cloud 9.

Every time he slammed his pelvis against mine, he hit my v-spot with a heavy thud, sending waves of white-hot electricity through my entire body. I tossed my head back, my eyes rolling as a loud, guttural moan tore from my chest.

He began to fuck me with a wild, animalistic rhythm, our bodies slapping together so loudly it filled the room.

"Yes! Fuck! More!" I shrieked, my fingers clawing at his back.

"Jackson…" I gasped. "I'm close."

He smiled down at me, dark eyes warm, possessive. "That's it. Let go for me."

I did.

My body shook as pleasure crashed over me, white and blinding. I cried out his name, clutching at him like he was the only thing keeping me whole. For those few moments, nothing else mattered. Not the whispers in the pack. Not the looks they gave me. Not the way they called me weak behind my back.

In his arms, I was enough.

When it was over, he collapsed beside me, pulling me against his chest. His heart beat strong and steady under my ear. I traced slow lines over his skin, smiling to myself.

"This feels right," I whispered.

He kissed my forehead. "It is."

I closed my eyes, warmth spreading through my chest. "Tonight… at the gathering. You'll tell them, right? About us?"

There was a pause. Just a second too long.

"Of course," he said finally. "You worry too much."

I wanted to believe him.

I slid out of bed a little later, pulling on my clothes. "I'll go grab food from the market. We'll eat together before the ceremony."

He grinned. "Hurry back."

I did.

I pulled on my clothes, grabbed my helmet, and headed out. My motorcycle roared to life, a familiar growl that made me feel powerful. I sped through the Silverfang pack lands, the wind whipping past my face. I felt like I was finally winning at life. I bought the best meat, the freshest vegetables, and a bottle of wine that cost half my savings. I was so happy that I was humming to myself as I rode back through the palace gates.

I arrived back at the Silverfang palace an hour later. I used my key to enter the back way, wanting to surprise him in his private quarters. As I walked down the hallway, I noticed his bedroom door was not closed. It was swinging open just an inch.

Then, I heard it. A high-pitched moan that did not belong to me.

"Yes, Jackson! Right there! Use that big cock of yours!"

I froze. My heart stopped beating for a sec. I stepped closer, my boots silent on the plush carpet. Through the crack in the door, I saw them. Derrick had Joanna, a pack girl who had mocked me for years, I saw them.

Jackson had another woman bent over the table, her dress pushed up around her waist. His hands were on her hips, his body moving hard and fast, in a brutal doggy style position. He was behind her, his pants at his ankles, hammering his hard cock into her with a savage force.

She cried out his name like it belonged to her.

""Oh fuck, Jackson! Yes! Right there!" her voice echoing off the palace walls." she moaned. "Harder!"

My vision blurred.

He thrust again, rough and hungry, the same way he had with me. The same sounds. The same words.

"Tell me you're better than her," he growled.

She laughed. "I am. Everyone knows it. She's nothing."

My chest cracked open.

"She's just something to pass time," Jackson said, breathless. "A mistake."

The bag slipped from my hand. It hit the floor with a soft thud.

They didn't hear it.

I turned and walked away.

The gathering hall was full that night. Fires burned. Wolves laughed. Music filled the air. Jackson stood at the front, proud and calm, like nothing had happened.

He smiled when he saw me.

"Jessica," he said loudly. "Come forward."

I stepped onto the floor, my legs heavy.

"Tonight," he announced, "we honor bonds. I choose my mate."

The pack watched.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone. My hand shook, but my voice didn't.

"Before that," I said, "I want you all to see something."

I pressed play.

Gasps filled the hall. The sounds echoed—moans, words, lies. Faces turned. Whispers spread.

Jackson went pale.

"This is nothing," an elder snapped. "Turn it off."

"He betrayed me," I said. "He lied."

The room shifted.

"She's wolfless," someone said. "What did she expect?"

Laughter followed.

Jackson stepped close, his voice low and sharp. "You've embarrassed yourself enough."

Guards grabbed my arms.

"Throw her out."

They dragged me through the doors and shoved me into the mud. The gates slammed shut behind me.

Rain poured down hard and cold.

I lay there, shaking, my chest burning, my wolf screaming inside me.

Something snapped.

I pushed myself up, soaked and shaking, and laughed.

I wiped my face, stood, and turned toward the palace lights in the distance.

"Fine," I whispered. "You chose this."

I swung onto my bike, rain stinging my skin as the engine roared to life.

As I rode, a strange heat bloomed in my chest—hotter than before, deeper. My wolf lifted her head, alert.

Ahead, on the palace balcony, a tall shadow stepped forward.

Two eyes lit up in the dark.

Silver.

And my wolf howled.
