Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 Tavern Small Talk

"About this..."

Special Operations Na gave Kiana an odd look, a trained flicker of vigilance flashing deep in her eyes.

"They don't know; that bastard never revealed my existence. I joined GTI under a forged identity."

"Ahem, I'm not up to anything, just curious. And I mentioned before that, for certain reasons, I've observed the fates of many worlds."

Noticing that caution, Kiana quickly waved her hands.

"Oh, you did talk about it in the group chat."

Special Operations Na let the suspicion fade and nodded.

Kiana had indeed brought it up in the chat before.

And across the vast multiverse, there really were all sorts of people with extraordinary abilities.

This Group Owner might well possess such a power.

Another Kiana who was merely ordinary—she'd dragged down the collective Kiana average; sorry about that!

We'd been the same person in a past life—how come she's the only normal one, huh?!

Grumbling inwardly, Special Operations Na followed the tavern tutorial and ordered a high-proof cocktail, then knocked back a fierce gulp.

"You've still got undercover work to do—don't drink too much!"

Kiana raised a hand to stop her.

"My alcohol tolerance isn't that bad..."

Special Operations Na curled her lip and took another huge swig, finishing the entire glass.

Though she claimed she could hold her liquor, her gradually flushing cheeks said otherwise.

At that moment the tavern door swung open; a white-haired girl in shorts, black stockings, and sunglasses on her head walked in.

"So this is the tavern—nice vibe."

Blue data streams flickered across the girl's sunglasses as though scanning the place.

But the streams soon froze and vanished; the girl glanced up at her shades in surprise.

"Can't analyze any data?"

Curious, she strolled over to the bar where Kiana sat and plopped down beside Void Hunting Kiana.

Noticing the newcomer, Gojo Na and Little Moonlight came over together.

Little Moonlight still held a half-gnawed carrot, cheeks puffed as she chewed, her little belly round and sticking out.

Kiana's gaze settled on the sunglasses girl, her pupils shimmering faintly.

As expected—this was the alien Digimon who'd broken into the Tree-Sea system: Omnimon.

"Never imagined there'd be so many Kianas, all the same person—how wondrous the world is."

Digi-Na remarked with interest.

Especially the Kiana with a purple-gradient ponytail and rhomboid violet irises—she intrigued her the most.

She couldn't read that one at all!

So she wondered: what had this version of herself experienced to become so formidable?

"There are far more Kianas than just those in our group, you know."

Gojo Na cheerfully took over the conversation.

"Maybe there's one Kiana for every world that exists?"

Gojo Na and Little Moonlight sat at the bar as well; six Kianas lined up like sextuplets.

"If that's true, it'd be downright terrifying..."

Void Hunting Kiana looked up, pondered a moment, then turned pale.

If that many Kianas descended on Neo-Elysium at once, the city would probably be renamed Neo-Kianapolis.

Kiana is destined to conquer the world!

In her mind she pictured the Group Owner planting chibi-Kiana flags across all heavens and worlds.

What a sight to behold (facepalm).

"Group Owner, are you finally done with your Xianzhou business today?"

Little Moonlight asked.

"Mm, the urgent stuff's finished; whatever's left can wait."

Kiana gave a slight nod, then eyed Little Moonlight's bulging belly oddly.

"You've eaten so much—don't you feel stuffed?"

"Not at all! You need a full stomach to run!"

Little Moonlight patted her tummy, looking perfectly at ease.

This amount was nothing compared with Komaki Inari's appetite back at school.

The girls glanced at her pretty face, then at her pregnant-looking belly, and shook their heads in unison.

The Kianas then started chatting, sharing amusing anecdotes from their respective worlds.

"Speaking of which, my big sis and the student-council president have been drilling me—running, dancing, rap, the works. I'm dead tired..."

She shot Kiana a resentful glare as she spoke.

Ever since the Group Owner used her body for that debut race, her days of leisure were over.

No more lazing around!

Kiana could only scratch her head with an apologetic, silly grin.

"Poor Little Moonlight. I'll soon be dragged by my big brother to Jujutsu High for classes."

Anticipation flashed in Gojo Na's eyes.

"Sounds good—better than moping around the main house."

Kiana approved of Gojo Na getting out more; she'd been over-protected.

Though she did go shopping and such.

She'd also learn how to use the Six Eyes and inherit Gojo Satoru's techniques.

(Gojo Na's innate technique was identical to Gojo Satoru's in nature.)

But when it came to the crises their world faced, she knew little of the hidden side.

Because Gojo Satoru wouldn't let her touch those things.

He always said:

"Big brother's the strongest—leave everything to me."

Though touched, Gojo Na still wanted to meddle in jujutsu affairs.

After all, daily life was too boring for a half-transmigrator like her.

Kiana could only mutter: this white-haired sis-con!

"My life's pretty ordinary—just running errands for Ling and Zhe sometimes."

Downing the last of her Margarita, Void Hunting Kiana shrugged.

Compared with everyone's rich experiences, an amnesiac like her seemed unremarkable.

Though her world faced the Hollow crisis, it felt unrelated to an ordinary girl like her.

As for the sword and pistol she'd been holding when Ling picked her up, they probably once belonged to someone important—before she lost her memory. Besides, with such a large chest, fighting didn't seem practical; so she'd ruled out the idea that she'd been some powerhouse.

"Ordinary, huh?"

Kiana studied Void Hunting Kiana; she could clearly sense formidable power slumbering within her.

But for now that power slept, awaiting its owner's call.

Maybe when a real crisis arrived, she'd finally recognize her own strength.

Kiana mused silently.

Amid lively chatter, Digi-Na finished her freshly ordered coffee and rose to leave.

"I've urgent business; let's catch up another time."

Digi-Na waved, leaving only a dashing silhouette.

"It's only a second outside—no need to rush, right?"

Special Operations Na, cheeks flushed, squinted tipsily and slurred.

While listening she'd downed another ultra-strong cocktail; now she was thoroughly tipsy.

"Because she and I are in the same world, Caeluslana didn't enter the tavern, so there's no temporal anchor."

"You two are in the same world?"

Gojo Na exclaimed.

Group Owner, Caeluslana, and Digi-Na were actually under one world!

Digi-Na paused at the door, turning back toward Kiana.

"Don't tell me the Kiana that Administrator Asta mentioned is you?"

"If you mean Asta of the Herta Space Station."

Kiana's eyes curved in a smile as she nodded.
