Kevin was not a lucky man, but today was statistically impossible. He had dropped his toast three times, and every single time, it landed butter-side up.
"Something is wrong," Kevin whispered to his cat, Mr. Business. "The universe is glitching."
Up in the "Human Experience Management" office, a middle-manager named Gary was screaming. "Who turned off the Gravity Variance? Kevin is getting suspicious! If he realizes he's in a controlled environment, the insurance premiums on his soul will skyrocket!"
