Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: The Real Slaughter

Because Lucy was saved by the Celestial Spirit Horologium, she was not sucked away by the Super-Dimensional Space Magic Anima. At this moment, she was looking around in complete confusion.

"Natsu! Happy!"

"Where did everyone go?"

She looked at the endless sandy ground and shouted in vain twice, but there was no response.

Just then, Mystogan, clad in a cloak, walked over and asked in confusion, "Lucy? Are you alright?"

"Jellal?"

Lucy had never seen Mystogan's true face and thought he was the traitor from the Magic Council, the one who had helped them against the Oración Seis.

Mystogan explained, "I am not Jellal. I am Mystogan of Fairy Tail!"

Lucy was full of doubt: "You look exactly the same. What's going on?"

Mystogan briefly explained the situation here and informed her of the whereabouts of the Fairy Tail members.

He suddenly tossed a red pill into Lucy's mouth, nearly choking her to death.

"This is something that will allow you to use magic power in Edolas. Our comrades have been sucked into that world; now you need to go save them."

Lucy was furious: "Couldn't you have just handed it to me!"

Mystogan remained expressionless: "Sorry!"

In truth, he was a man of action who did things first and explained later; if any issues arose, he was also quick to apologize.

After a few brief words, Mystogan waved his magic staff and sent Lucy into the black hole in the sky... Lucy seemed to have bad luck; as soon as she arrived in this world, she was caught on a cliff. It took a lot of effort to get free, and then she wandered aimlessly through this world, unable to even find her bearings.

Three days passed in a flash. She reached a crowded street and finally heard news about Fairy Tail. They were being wanted by the Kingdom, and the Captain of the Second Magic War Division, Erza, had already gone to hunt them down.

Hearing this, Lucy's jaw nearly dropped: "The Erza of this world is an enemy?"

She couldn't imagine the sight of Erza hunting down their comrades; it was simply too terrifying.

Suddenly, a thought occurred to her, and she quickly covered the emblem on the back of her hand. The Fairy Tail emblem was the same in both worlds, and she didn't want to be wanted by the Kingdom.

"It's Lucy of Fairy Tail!"

A passerby shouted, and the Kingdom patrol guards nearby heard it. They immediately swarmed over, throwing weapons from a distance.

"Who's so talkative!"

Lucy was both anxious and angry. She should have realized sooner; Mystogan had mentioned there was a person corresponding to her in this world, but she hadn't taken it seriously.

She turned and bolted, shouting, "I'm not Lucy!"

A soldier shouted directly, "She is Lucy! Catch her!"

"Is the 'me' of this world that famous?!"

Lucy was so anxious that tears were coming out. She didn't usually exercise, and the two 'buns' on her chest felt very heavy.

Gradually, she stopped and muttered to herself, "The people in this world don't have magic power. Doesn't that mean I, who possess magic, am invincible?"

As for those 'magic weapons,' she had never even heard of them; they probably weren't much.

"Open, Gate of the Golden Bull..."

Boom!

Before she could finish, a spear at her feet exploded, sending Lucy flying.

"Dammit! Let me finish!"

Thirty minutes later, Lucy had been chased across two streets. She was covered in dust, and her legs were shaking like sieves.

She ran feebly, looking up in utter despair: "Someone, save me!"

Suddenly, a dragon-shaped giant beast roared across the sky. Seeing the familiar figures on it, Lucy cried out in pleasant surprise, "Acnologia, Irene, Natsu! Come save me!"

"Lucy?"

Acnologia noticed her and patted the giant beast's head, signaling it to land.

The giant beast widened its eyes with a look of defiance; if it weren't for Knightwalker's order, it wouldn't listen.

Then it took a slap to the forehead and plummeted straight down, crashing into the dirt and shattering several houses.

"Irene!"

Lucy ran over and unhesitatingly hugged Irene, whom she felt was the most reliable. Burying her small head in that softness, she felt incredibly lucky: "Haha, I'm saved!"

"Why is it that every time I meet you, you're in such a miserable state?"

Irene heartlessly pushed Lucy's head away. Lucy's face was covered in soot; how could she have the nerve to press against her?

Lucy felt aggrieved: "How should I know? People started trying to catch me as soon as I got here."

She pointed at the soldiers chasing her and complained, "Natsu, they're bullying me! Go get them!"

"Lucy, it's great that you're okay! Leave them to me!"

Natsu excitedly charged forward, only to be suppressed within three seconds.

"Acnologia, come save me!"

Hearing that idiot's cry, everyone felt as if a murder of crows was flying over their heads. You bastard, don't go too far!

"Captain Erza?"

Seeing Erza in a tortoise-shell bind, the soldiers gasped. Who had tied the commander up like this? Were they tired of living?

Erza Knightwalker's face turned red with shame from being watched.

That pink-haired guy and that cat were shameless; they treated her like the Erza of the other world. It was truly hateful! If they had the guts, they should go find that Erza!

She looked at the gathering soldiers and said coldly, "All of you, attack! Kill these bastards!"

"Yes, Ma'am!"

The soldiers knew Knightwalker's ruthlessness well. Without hesitation, they all charged forward.

Lucy said confidently, "Irene, give me Enchantment Magic."

As long as her stats were boosted, she wouldn't fear any number of soldiers. She even felt a bit nostalgic for the feeling of being One Punch Man.

Irene shrugged: "We can't use magic power."

"Ah???"

Lucy immediately hid behind Irene, panicking: "Then shouldn't we run?"

"Wait, Natsu is still in their hands!"

Looking at the already tied-up Natsu, she couldn't help but complain in her heart: So useless, dropping the ball at the critical moment.

"Irene, you guys step back!"

Acnologia spoke and stepped forward. His figure flickered, and in an instant, dozens of soldiers in front were sent flying.

Facing a thrusting fire spear, he reached out and grabbed it, wrenching it away with force. He then used it to sweep away a group of soldiers, smashing them through a wall.

Acnologia looked at the furious Knightwalker and reminded her, "It's not too late to tell them to stop. I can't guarantee I can incapacitate them without killing them."

Knightwalker sneered: "Do you really think you can kill that many people?"

Before her words even faded, Acnologia already had his answer. Since the other party didn't appreciate his mercy, he wouldn't be soft-hearted either.

Acnologia fought his way to Natsu, grabbed him by his clothes, and threw him forcefully toward Irene's side.

At the same time, a terrifying killing intent was released. Everyone seemed to hear the wails of death, and the sky before them turned blood-red.

Knightwalker's expression changed in horror. With this level of killing intent, just how many people had he killed?

Before she could regain her senses, Acnologia had already met the charge of thousands of soldiers. Every sweep of his spear took several lives.

Though he hadn't killed in a long time, in this situation, he had to be firm.

"Storm Greatsword!"

A general roared in rage and leapt up, coming with a gale that could shred everything.

"Die!"

Acnologia thrust his spear. An overbearing power pierced through the gale and through the general's head. He then flung the corpse off the spear, knocking over dozens of soldiers.

One man stood against a thousand. The surrounding buildings collapsed, and ordinary people had already fled in terror.

"With this kind of power, is he even human?"

Everyone's face paled. That cold figure was like a god of death harvesting lives; wherever he passed, no one survived.

Knightwalker was, after all, a Kingdom general who had experienced countless battles. Without much thought, she issued another command.

"Full army, attack!"

If this man were left alive, the consequences would be endless. He was more terrifying than all the Dark Guilds combined!

"Let's retreat further back!"

Irene knew Acnologia was intent on killing. She raised her hand and knocked Knightwalker unconscious, then led Lucy and the others back.

"Kill!"

Without a moment's pause, all the soldiers raised their swords and spears and charged again.

Splat! Splat! Splat!!!

A line of blood opened on the necks of all the soldiers in the front, and they fell dead.

Looking at that blood-stained figure, not only the soldiers but even Lucy and the others felt afraid.

Usually, battles involved using magic to severely wound enemies or turn them to ash. This kind of sight—where every move drew blood and every strike was fatal—was rare.

This was far bloodier than magic.

Soon, Hughes, a division captain, arrived with troops. He was moved by the sight of one man madly slaughtering amidst ten thousand soldiers.

To think such a powerhouse existed in the world—one who could rival a thousand-strong army without using magic.

Whose subordinate was this?

"Villain! Die!"

Hughes was furious. He activated a magic weapon, and a giant ship soared through the air, crashing ruthlessly toward Acnologia. The soldiers blocking the way were knocked aside without mercy.

Acnologia felt the blood in his body warm up slightly. He laughed loudly: "Finally, something interesting!"

Facing the impact of the giant ship, he had no intention of dodging. He chose to face it head-on, raising his spear and slashing down.

At that moment, a light seemed to flash between heaven and earth. In an instant, the massive airship was split directly in half from the middle, tumbling to the ground with a thunderous roar.

Hughes' heart trembled: "How is this possible?"

Such an overbearing and sharp attack was practically like splitting heaven and earth!

Acnologia looked at the surrounding soldiers, his eyes cold as ice, devoid of any mercy. He initiated a charge, and the army of ten thousand was instantly torn apart. Blood sprayed across the sky like a rain of blood!

"Too brutal!"

All the soldiers were terrified. That man was too frightening. That black streak of light wove through the army, tearing the formation to shreds in moments.

The army of over ten thousand was like nothing before him; shields and human walls couldn't stop him for a second!

And before anyone realized it, Captain Hughes had been pinned to the ground by a spear, dead.

"Lord Hughes is dead! Let's run!"

"That's not a human, that's a demon! A monster!"

"Run!"

From the beginning until now, at least thirty thousand troops had gathered. In the end, they were slaughtered into disarray by one man, with fewer than two thousand remaining. The soldiers could no longer withstand the fear in their hearts and began to flee.

Acnologia did not pursue. He casually stuck his spear into the ground and tossed aside his blood-soaked upper garment.

This battle had raged from day until midnight. Knightwalker had woken up and stared blankly at the ground covered in corpses and rivers of blood.

She looked at the blood-colored figure walking toward her, a strong fear welling up in her heart. This man actually had the strength to slaughter his way through the Kingdom's army.

How could such a person exist in the world!

"Impossible! This is absolutely impossible!" Knightwalker's eyes were bloodshot, her voice hoarse and crazed.

The slaughter just now had made Acnologia feel a long-lost sense of tyranny.

He reached out and grabbed Knightwalker's hair, forcing her to look into his eyes. He said coldly, "If you didn't look exactly like my daughter, you wouldn't be qualified to be alive right now."

"Stop acting crazy and take us to find the people you've captured!"

Knightwalker looked into those cold, heartless eyes. A bone-chilling coldness welled up from the bottom of her heart, making her unable to stop shaking.

She had thought this man hadn't killed her because he feared the Kingdom's power; now she finally knew she had been overthinking.

She simply couldn't say a word of refusal and nodded subconsciously.

Knightwalker had a feeling that if she dared to say a single "no," this man would even dare to exterminate the entire Kingdom.

Even Hughes, one of the Kingdom's strongest, had been killed like an ordinary soldier. Who could stop him?

This man was truly unrivaled in the world!
