The badge felt cool and heavy against her skin, carrying a weight that was far greater than the metal itself. This was not an ordinary beginner mage badge, but an intermediate one, personally handed over by Carl along with one hundred gold coins.
Even now, as she examined the finely engraved surface, she still found it somewhat surprising. During the examination, she had only summoned Gustave and had not displayed any other abilities, yet Carl had still granted her such a high evaluation.
