Mu Chen pulled back just an inch, his eyes dark with a hunger he'd been suppressing for far too long. He caught Xiao Yun's wandering hands and pinned them gently but firmly against the pillow above his head.

"On purpose?" Mu Chen's gaze dropped to Xiao Yun's flushed face and swollen lips. "Yun, I've been holding back for years now. If I did everything I actually wanted to do to you right now, you wouldn't be able to walk out of this courtyard tomorrow."

The "husband" comment didn't seem so funny to Xiao Yun anymore. The sheer intensity in Mu Chen's eyes made the air feel thin.

Xiao Yun's feisty exterior finally crumbled, replaced by a raw, burning need. He arched his back slightly, seeking more contact, he suddenly shut his eyes and said without thinking anything...

"Then don't hold back," Xiao Yun murmured, his bravado returning in a new, more dangerous form. "Or are you all talk, 'Mr. boyfriend'?"

Mu Chen's smirk was dangerous. He leaned down, his lips brushing Xiao Yun's ear one last time before his voice dropped to a sultry, promise-filled heat.

"You asked for it."

He let go of Xiao Yun's wrists only to slide his hands beneath the layers of Xiao Yun's robes, skin meeting warm hand for the first time.

Xioa yun's whole body shivered . As Mu Chen reclaimed his lips, the kiss was no longer a gentle one it was fiery...

The room was warm. It smelled like incense. Xiao Yun was breathing hard. For a long time they had just been kissing each other, tangled in the blankets, Xiao Yun moving like he didn't know if he wanted to get away or get closer... They separated when both of them were breathless...looked at each other for a second,

Mu Chen sat up and pulled off his top robe. The silk fell to the floor.

Xiao Yun stared. Mu Chen's shoulders were broad, his chest and stomach strong from years of training. He looked like he was carved from stone.

Xiao Yun's mouth went dry. He swallowed.

Mu Chen saw him looking and smirked. "Do you like what you see, Yun?"

Xiao Yun's face turned bright red. He tried to act annoyed. "Are you going to do something or just talk all night?"

Mu Chen laughed low in his throat. He reached for Xiao Yun's robe ties and untied them slowly. He pulled the robe open until Xiao Yun was shivering under him.

Mu Chen leaned down and pinned him gently to the bed. He didn't kiss his lips. He kissed his neck, then his chest, right over his heart.

Xiao Yun gasped and his back arched. A hot feeling shot through his whole body.

Mu Chen stopped and looked him in the eye. His voice was rough. "Are you sure? Should I keep going ?"

Xiao Yun didn't think. He grabbed Mu Chen's hair and pulled him down hard, kissing him back fiercely. He even bit Mu Chen's lower lip lightly.

Mu Chen hissed in surprise.

Xiao Yun stared up at him, his eyes dark. "Do you still need an answer?"

That was it. He pulled Xiao Yun close...

The last of the barriers fell. Mu Chen's restraint snapped like a dry branch in a storm. He shed the final remnants of his clothing, and as they moved together, the two of them finally merged. It wasn't just a physical act; it was a collision of souls.

The world outside the courtyard vanished, leaving only the rhythm of their shared breath and the searing, undeniable truth of their union. For the first time, there was no "you" and "I"—there was only the heat, the pressure, and the absolute completion of one another.

Xiao Yun moaned, biting down on Mu Chen's lip hard enough to draw a drop of blood. Instead of pulling away, Mu Chen felt a rush of excitement, happy to see just how much his lover was caught up in the moment.

After twenty minutes of intense, feverish movement, the energy finally broke. Mu Chen slumped forward, exhausted and content, resting his weight against Xiao Yun. Xiao Yun felt a final, surging wave of heat rush through his body as he finally went still, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps.

Mu Chen gave a soft, breathless chuckle, still holding Xiao Yun close. Xiao Yun reached up, cupping Mu Chen's face with both hands, and pulled him into a kiss—this time, it was slow and tender. Wrapped in each other's arms, they let the exhaustion take over and finally fell into a deep sleep...

On the other side,

Bai Liuli had already called the other three human Immortal Lords hiding in this lower plane. Even the Nexus Sovereign couldn't sense them here, but they still kept their auras hidden.

In the main hall of the Jade Serenity Palace, Bai Liuli stood looking up at the empty throne on the high platform. After someone like Huai appeared in this plane, she couldn't bring herself to sit on it anymore.

She had arranged five other thrones around the main one instead. One seat was placed right beside Huai's . It was for Yan Wuhe. She had met him with Huai.

She knew Wuhe was an Immortal Sovereign, and not just any normal one, he was at the apex of the Immortal Realm. It terrified her to meet someone like that in a lower plane. Only their sect master back home was at that level.

Suddenly, three figures appeared together in the hall.

The first was a man in a simple kasaya, the robe of a monk. He was calm, his eyes kind. He was also an Immortal Lord. His name was Jing Kong.

He pressed his palms together. "Amitabha! Immortal Lord Bai, how are you? I heard you were injured by that Mo Lin?"

Bai Liuli turned to him and smiled faintly. "So you've already arrived? Come, sit. I'm alright now... I'll tell you the details later."

Standing beside the monk was a rough-looking young man. Purple-blue lightning crackled faintly around his shoulders. He sneered.

"Again I have to see this bald monk! My day is already ruined," he muttered. His name was Lei Zhen.

Next to him stood a girl in dark green robes, her hair tied up with a silver pin. She chuckled at Lei Zhen's complaint. Her name was Su Qingyan.

"Don't be rude," Su Qingyan said. "He's still human. Save your hostility for those filthy nether races."

Jing Kong sighed again, "Amitabha, Amitabha! Don't speak such harsh words. They are also living creatures... they deserve a chance at forgiveness too. We just need to help guide them..."

Lei Zhen cut him off with another sneer. "Stop. Just stop there. This is exactly why we keep losing ground to those filthy things. They keep gaining advantage while we sit here talking about forgiveness."

They were all from the forces under the Jade Sea Immortal Holy Land.

Bai Liuli sighed and looked at them. "Can you three stop arguing? We have something important to discuss."

Lei Zhen gave the monk one last sneer, then turned to Bai Liuli. "Yes! Can we start now?"

Bai Liuli shook her head. "No. Not yet. Not everyone is here. Let the others arrive first."

All three of them frowned at the same time. They were the only ones who had come down to this lower realm tens of thousands of years ago. No one else could come after them ,the path had been sealed by the Holy Land itself.

Jing Kong was the first to ask, pressing his palms together. "Benefactor... who are you waiting for?"

Before Bai Liuli could answer, a calm voice answered from behind him.

"Me. She's waiting for me."

Jing Kong, Lei Zhen, and Su Qingyan went on full alert instantly. They spread their senses through the hall, searching for the speaker but their spines went cold when they realized they couldn't sense anyone at all.

Then, right beside Jing Kong, the air rippled.

Two figures appeared out of nowhere.

Jing Kong's eyes went wide. He swallowed hard and started chanting quickly, "Amitabha! Amitabha!"

Huai chuckled at his reaction.

The three Immortal Lords stared at the two newcomers in pure horror. Standing next to Huai was Yan Wuhe, hands behind his back, his aura completely restrained — yet to them, it felt like they were standing before one of the terrifying old ancestors of the Jade Sea Immortal Holy Land itself.

Bai Liuli immediately stood up from her seat and bowed deeply.

"Senior Huai. Senior Wuhe."

Huai gave Bai Liuli a small nod.

Jing Kong, Lei Zhen, and Su Qingyan stared at him and couldn't sense a single fluctuation from his body. He looked like a complete mortal . There were no spiritual pressure, no immortal light, nothing at all.

But if they actually believed he was a mortal, then they would be the biggest idiots in the three realms.

Su Qingyan glanced at Bai Liuli and saw how much respect she was showing. Bai Liuli was an Immortal Lord who rarely bowed to anyone, yet now her head was lowered completely. Su Qingyan's heart jumped and she immediately stepped forward and bowed deeply.

"Junior Su Qingyan greets both seniors."

Seeing her move, Lei Zhen and Jing Kong remembered their manners at once. They both cupped their fists and bowed.

"Junior Jing Kong greets both seniors."

"Junior Lei Zhen greets both seniors."

Huai and Wuhe both nodded slightly. Then, without a sound, they walked up and took the two thrones that had been placed for them.Huai in the center, Wuhe right beside him.

Huai looked down at the hall and said calmly, "You can sit before we begin."

The three of them quickly found seats. But even after sitting, they couldn't relax. They kept glancing up at the two terrifying beings seated above them, their backs straight, their breathing careful.

The entire Jade Serenity Palace was silent.

Huai looked at the three of them, his eyes sweeping over them once.

In that instant, he saw through everything , the old injuries hidden in their meridians, the cracks in their dantians from fighting the nether races for tens of thousands of years.

He simply waved his hand.

A gentle force, like a pure white mist, drifted out from his sleeve and landed on the three of them.

Jing Kong, Lei Zhen, and Su Qingyan all startled. Their faces changed. They thought this was an attack — that this unknown powerhouse wanted to take control of them. They shot to their feet, circulating their cultivation to protect their dantians.

But before they could even react, the mist entered them as naturally as breathing. It didn't force its way in. It was as if their own dantians were drawn to it, welcoming it.

The gentle aura filled their meridians in seconds. Warmth spread through their chests, their arms, their legs.

Right there in front of everyone, the color returned to their faces. Old wounds they had carried since the first war in this lower plane, wounds even the Holy Land's pills couldn't fully heal began to close.
