Huai and Wuhe returned to the sect with their disciples.
In the Eternal Hall, at Eternal Peak.
Huai sat on the throne, looking majestic in the same red dress he had seen in the picture. His white sword floated in front of him on the right side while he occupied the main throne.
The newly joined galaxy sovereigns took their seats in the main hall alongside the eight hall masters, Ancestor Gu Xuan, and all the other inner and outer elders. Core disciples, as well as inner and outer disciples, were all seated in the beautiful hall according to their ranks. Wuhe stood beside Huai, looking at him with even more curiosity. Wuhe loved him but couldn't share his feelings for fear of losing this magnificent being.
Huai began to speak, "You are all here! Now, I have some important things to announce."
Everyone looked at him with utmost respect and genuine attention. Huai had changed their sect, elevating it to a completely different level.
Huai spoke again, "I am going to introduce you to your new grand elder. I let him join the sect using my own authority. His name is Yan Wuhe. From today onwards, you should show him the same respect you show me."
Everyone, including the eight peak masters and Ancestor Gu Xuan, looked at Wuhe with admiration. They knew their sect master was not someone who would make decisions based on favoritism; he must have his reasons for choosing this person as their grand elder. So, everyone stood up, bowed towards Wuhe, and said in a unified voice,
"Welcome to The Eternal Sect, Grand Elder."
Wuhe waved his hand, and a gentle aura swept by, helping everyone to their feet.
Wuhe said, "Thank you for accepting me into the sect. I will protect everyone with my power. You don't need to bow to me; just always respect the Sect Master." Then he bowed towards Huai.
Everyone did the same. Huai then told them to sit, and they returned to their respective seats.
Huai announced a period of closed-door cultivation on the second floor of the Eternal Time Tower. Except for him and Wuhe, everyone needed to enter that floor for seven days. This time, however, the time flow was different, at a ratio of 1:1000, meaning one thousand days inside equated to one day outside.
This meant their age would also change according to the time spent inside; seven days outside, or 7,000 days inside, would age them by nearly 20 years.
After making the announcement, he gave everyone their cultivation resources and returned to his own courtyard with Wuhe.
It was already nighttime. Everyone had returned to their own courtyards to rest, as they were scheduled to enter the time tower for cultivation the next day.
Wuhe sat beside Huai, quietly preparing tea for him.
"Wuhe," Huai said, a hint of embarrassment in his voice, "you'll have to make do here for today. I haven't been able to arrange a separate courtyard for you yet." He felt awkward. Wuhe was so much his type that he had tried to avoid him from the very first day, but destiny, it seemed, had other plans. Huai sighed inwardly. Just the thought of sharing a room with him made his heart pound.
Meanwhile, Wuhe's inner wolf growled, desperate to take over and declare, 'I want to stay here. I want to stay beside you. I want to be your dog forever. Just don't abandon me.' His own heart began to beat like a drum.
Outwardly, he simply said, "It's alright. You need to rest too. I'll stay here in the garden."
Huai shook his head. "No, you'll stay inside. We can share the room for a few days."
Wuhe was overjoyed but managed to conceal his excitement with a simple nod.
An awkward silence settled between them. Huai didn't speak, and Wuhe just continued making tea, his gaze fixed on Huai, who was staring at the moon hanging in the night sky.
"Do you like the moon?" Wuhe asked softly.
Huai glanced at Wuhe, then nodded. "In my past life, only two things gave me any happiness: the sun rising or setting on the horizon, and this beautiful moon." He looked at it again, a wistful expression on his face.
Wuhe's heart felt heavy. He asked, "Is it related to the person who said those words to you?" He remembered Huai mentioning that someone had once told him his face was disgusting.
Huai nodded slightly. "You could say that was one of the reasons. Maybe I just wasn't enough for the people around me in that life." He sighed, the weight of the memory returning.
"Maybe not," Wuhe said, his voice laced with unhappiness. "Maybe they were all just blind to your brilliance and grace. Maybe they were simply idiots for not seeing your beautiful character."
Huai chuckled, breaking the somber mood. "Let's forget about all that. Now, tell me, do you want a drink? I have some great liquor with me."
Wuhe nodded in response. To deal with this charged situation, drinking seemed like the best way to avoid saying the wrong thing.
"System," Huai asked in his mind, "give me some special liquor."
[Ding!
Congratulations, Host, for using the feature 'Asking Your Dear System!'
System's mood is extremely happy.
Rewarding you with a jar of the drunken dream: "Heart's Truth Liquor."]
'Hah, fancy name. Heart's Truth,' Huai mused to himself. 'Who knows what truths a person's heart holds? Heh! Let's drink it today.' He completely ignored the fact that his system was the strongest in existence and its gifts were never simple.
Huai took out two cups and poured the liquor. They began to drink, and after just a few cups, both started feeling dizzy. Huai stood up and walked towards a beautiful cherry blossom tree. He waved his hand, and blossoms magically appeared, floating in the air with the gentle breeze.
Dressed in his beautiful red robe, standing amidst the swirling cherry blossoms and looking up at the moon, he looked like a deity who had descended from the heavens.
Wuhe watched him with a gaze full of longing. His heart couldn't bear it anymore; it was pounding like a war drum against his ribs.
Intoxicated, Huai gazed at the moon, his heart beating crazily. It had been a long, long time since he had felt this kind of reaction, this wild thrumming in his chest. He didn't know why he always felt this way in front of Wuhe.
Suddenly, two sturdy hands grabbed him from behind, pulling him into a firm hug. Huai froze, shocked. Wuhe had never done anything like this before.
"Please," Wuhe's voice was a low whisper in his ear, "just let me stay like this for a moment. After this, you can slap me or kill me, whatever you want."
"Wuhe," Huai stammered, "what's happened to you? Why are you acting like this?"
Wuhe didn't answer with words. Instead, something hard and insistent grew between them until it pressed firmly against Huai's back.
Huai froze completely, the reality of the situation crashing down on him. His heart hammered against his ribs as if it wanted to escape his chest.
"From the moment I saw you," Wuhe confessed, his voice thick with emotion, "from the moment I heard your voice and saw your face, something inside me changed. I want you, Huai. I want you in my life. You are so important to me."
"At first, I thought it was just an attraction, but the more days I spent with you, the more I realized... I've fallen for you. I love you, Huai."
Huai's mind was reeling. He, who had been suppressing his own feelings to preserve their friendship, was now hearing that Wuhe felt the same way.
He broke free from the embrace. Wuhe flinched, expecting a slap or worse, knowing Huai had the power to end him. But instead, Huai reached up with both hands, his eyes fiery as he cupped Wuhe's face. Wuhe had never seen this fierce, passionate look on him before, and his own heart began to pound.
"Then take responsibility for your actions," Huai commanded, his voice low and intense.
Before Wuhe could respond, Huai closed the distance and kissed him hard. It was a deep, demanding kiss. He started with Wuhe's lower lip, savoring it for a moment before moving to the upper one. Wuhe's head was buzzing. When he finally registered what was happening, he responded in kind, kissing Huai back with all the pent-up passion he had hidden for so long.
Wuhe kissed Huai's lips with the desperation of a man finding water in a fiery desert. Huai was equally fervent, devouring Wuhe as the longing they had felt since their first meeting boiled over into wild passion. They kissed relentlessly, their tongues entwining as Wuhe drank in the sweet, alcohol-induced taste of Huai's lips into his very soul.
Huai could feel Wuhe's arousal straining against his pants, even as his own body responded in kind. A warmth spread through his heart, and both could hear the frantic, rhythmic thrumming of their hearts beating in unison. An unspoken urge encouraged them to finally surrender to the hidden affection they had harbored for so long.
Noticing the difference in their sizes, Huai felt a flick of frustration; as the technically dominant one, he hadn't expected Wuhe to be so well-endowed. In a fit of possessive pique, he bit Wuhe's lip until it bled. Wuhe pulled back for a second, his inner wolf growling at the metallic tang of blood. As his eye color shifted, the wolf took control, fueled by Huai's wildness. He surged back in, kissing Huai even more fiercely. Huai felt the predatory change in Wuhe's aura, but he didn't care , he was too intoxicated by the moment.
After nearly twenty minutes of breathless, heavy tension, they finally broke the kiss to gasp for air. With a sharp wave of his hand, Huai cast a curtain of pure divine power over the courtyard, shielding them from any prying eyes.
Wuhe swept Huai into his arms, resuming their kiss as he carried him toward the bed. He laid Huai down gently, his fiery golden eyes burning with a wild nature that was impossible to hide. Huai sat up and, with a few practiced movements, stripped the upper garments from Wuhe's divine physique. He paused to admire Wuhe's perfect form before leaning in to press affectionate kisses against his chest, eventually nipping sharply at his right nipple.
Wuhe let out a low moan of pleasure. "Ah! Huai... if you keep doing this, I won't be able to control myself at all."
Huai stopped and looked Wuhe directly in the eyes, a teasing smile playing on his lips. "And who told you to stay in control?"
At those words, Wuhe's wild nature flared. He looked at Huai eagerly and growled, "Then let me show you just how wild I can be."
Wuhe pounced, marking Huai's neck with hard, heated kisses that forced moans of pleasure from Huai's throat. His hands worked quickly to shed Huai's red dress until only an open black inner robe remained. Beneath the silk, Huai's skin was as smooth as white jade, and his chest was a sight Wuhe could no longer resist. Unable to hold back, he lunged for one of Huai's nipples.
"Ah, hah! Stop... please stop, Wuhe," Huai gasped, his voice thick with desire. He tangled his fingers into Wuhe's hair, pulling him back just enough to reclaim his lips in another wild, intoxicating kiss.
