Primordial system for Eternity: Prologue
Year 2078
The Earth was in complete turmoil. Huge buildings were in ruins, mountains were flattened, and people were panicked. Many had died; their bodies even covered the whole Earth.
In this time, a few beings were still in the air trying to save their mother planet—the planet that gave them food, nurtured them, and made them what they are now. But to no avail; they also knew that they couldn't save Earth now. Everything was gone. They were the strongest on Earth, but still, they couldn't fight these beings who attacked Earth. It all started 8 years ago...
Year 2070
A huge rift opened above Earth, and Earth's spiritual power grew thicker and thicker. Countless smaller rifts started appearing in many places. From these rifts, many unknown creatures started invading the land. People screamed and fled, but to their horror, these unknown creatures had supernatural powers. Some of them could control fire, ice, and many elements, and some even had supernatural strength. Many humans died in this onslaught.
During this devastating time, some people gained supernatural powers. People called them Awakeners. Among these, ten Awakeners were the strongest, and after that, many more started awakening their powers.
The appearance of these people gave humanity a chance to live in this adversity. People saw Awakeners as heroes. But the government didn't want to lose their power over these "powerless" humans, so every country decided to create an organization called the "Global Awakeners Association." The association was governed by the joint governments of every country. Each Awakener needed to register through the association and listen to the association's orders if needed.
They told humanity that if humans wanted to live in peace, this association was needed; but deep down, they all knew the true reason for building it. Humans didn't even think and approved the association, so the Global Awakeners Association came into being.
Awakeners would fight these creatures to gain resources that would help them improve their power, and the association would take most of the resources from this hunting process to make their own lives more lavish.
Until the start of 2078
In a small room where even light couldn't get in clearly, a guy sat with disheveled clothes. His eyes were lifeless and his whole body was covered in wounds. He looked at a small hole in the room where rays of light came through.
He is SHEN HUAI. Huai was a very generous guy, but his life was never beautiful to begin with. His mother always wanted a daughter after having a son, but to her surprise, Huai was born. At first, she hated her son, but later she accepted him. But still, she loved her first son, Shen Haotian, more.
Haotian was arrogant and never liked his younger brother. Huai was soft-natured; he loved his parents and brother, but Huai's parents never cared for him like they cared for Haotian. Huai's childhood was not good at all. His brother bullied him throughout his youth; he never got the love he deserved. Like this, Huai grew up.
At the age of 18, he lost his father. During this time, he met a guy named Lu Sheng in college. In just a few talks, they became inseparable. Huai liked Lu Sheng so much; he was the first friend he ever had. Lu Sheng also liked Huai, and they developed a feeling deeper than friendship.
It was love; they fell in love with each other. Huai was intelligent; he helped Sheng with his studies and many other things. When Huai's father died, Huai deeply felt the loss. Although his parents never cared for him that much, he still loved them. Sheng comforted him.
Huai felt a deep connection between them. But day after day, nothing got better. Haotian started demanding money from his mother and started torturing Huai when he tried to stop him. Huai's mother realized the true nature of her firstborn, but she still couldn't face reality, so Huai had to comfort his mother more. A few years passed this way.
One day, Huai saw Lu Sheng with someone he never imagined. Lu Sheng was his boyfriend—what was he doing with another girl alone? He froze in place. He learned a secret he never wanted to know. Lu Sheng had been cheating on him for the last 7 years. He never liked Huai at all; he was just using him for his studies and other reasons.
Huai felt his whole world collapse. He came directly in front of Lu Sheng. Lu Sheng knew he was caught, so he never denied it. He said to Huai, "Who said I loved you? Huh? Do you think I'd love anyone? Huai, just looking at you makes me disgusted."
Huai stared at Sheng with teary eyes. He never imagined his life could be this miserable. The only person he loved, the only one he trusted on this whole Earth, the person he never believed would hurt him, was a cheater? He stood there still until Lu Sheng left.
Huai returned home and locked himself in his room. He knew no one cared for him to begin with, so why feel depressed or lonely? No one was going to comfort him. He was always soft-natured, so he was never able to accept the fact that Sheng had used him for 7 years.
On that day, in the year 2070, the rift appeared above Earth and many people awakened. Lu Sheng awakened, and Shen Haotian awakened as a C-Rank hunter. But unfortunately, Huai's mother also died due to a spiritual disease that appeared with the rift. Many humans died from this disease.
Huai became more lonely. He never awakened either. Haotian started torturing Huai more and more. Like this, 8 more years passed.
Year 2078
Huai was sitting on a hill from where he could see the city below. It was the time before sunrise. Huai sometimes came here to see the sunrise; it was the only thing that made him happy for a few minutes in his miserable life.
He came here often, and one day he met a little girl about 7–8 years old named Qingyue, though Huai called her Qingqing.
Qingqing liked Huai very much. When she first met him, she asked about the wounds on his skin and why he wore clothes with holes in them. Huai said he fell off a cliff, so his clothes were torn and his body was wounded.
The next day, Qingqing brought medicine and a new pack of clothes from her father for Huai. Huai accepted them and smiled at her. They became friends. Huai liked Qingqing very much, like his own daughter. He was already 33 now. Qingqing called him by the name "Pretty Gege." Huai was not ugly, but because of his traumatic life, he looked like a beggar.
But this child could see the beautiful nature and eyes of Huai. At first glance, she gave him that name. Huai told her not to call him that, but Qingqing was stubborn.
One day, while Huai was watching the sunrise, Qingqing came running.
"Pretty Gege! Pretty Gege, look who I brought with me? I brought my dad to meet you!"
Qingqing's dad, being dragged by his daughter, said, "Don't run, Qingqing! You'll get hurt. Stop running!"
Huai was watching the sunrise peacefully, but hearing that voice made his heart throb in pain. He knew that voice too well. He had lived a dream with that voice for 7 years. Huai looked in the direction the sound came from.
Huai's eyes flickered. Lu Sheng also looked at him, and his heart froze. Huai looked disheveled with wounds all over his body; his face looked as if someone had beaten him very badly.
"You? What are you doing here? What happened to your face and body...?" Lu Sheng asked in a single breath.
Huai's breath stopped in his chest. He couldn't even look Lu Sheng in the eye. He never thought the girl he met and befriended was the daughter of his ex. Huai looked at Lu Sheng and smiled comically.
"Nothing! Nothing happened to me. I just fell off the cliff, that's all."
Lu Sheng could see Huai was lying, but he didn't say anything before Huai spoke again.
"I'm sorry. I don't want to let you see my face again and disgust you. But I didn't know you were the father Qingqing always talked about."
Saying that, Huai walked to Qingqing, rubbed her head, and left the mountain. Lu Sheng said nothing, just watched the back that was disappearing into the horizon.
Qingqing looked at her dad and puffed her cheeks. "Look, you scared Pretty Gege! You always scare everyone."
Lu Sheng looked at his daughter but didn't refute her. He looked back at the direction where Huai had vanished.
When Huai returned to his home alone, his brother was not there. He went to his room and locked it. Huai felt empty inside. He sat in a corner and looked at the sunlight coming through the hole in his room.

Then, he heard hurried steps from behind. He looked to see a young girl running toward him. Huai was happy to see her. Qingqing ran to him and hugged his legs, crying.

Qingqing started crying uncontrollably. She thought her father had scared Huai away forever.
