Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: The Princess and the Ancient Tide

Chapter 47: The Princess and the Ancient Tide

As Noah continued its steady ascent, the ocean around it began to shift unnaturally. Massive shadows moved in the deep, currents twisting violently as something ancient stirred from the abyss.

From the darkest trenches of the sea, colossal Sea Kings surged upward, their enormous forms surrounding the ark in a tightening circle. Their presence alone caused the water to tremble, and a crushing pressure fell upon everything nearby.

Then the voices came.

They did not echo through air but slammed directly into Ren and Shirahoshi's minds, layered and thunderous, overlapping like waves crashing endlessly against stone.

"Princess… the Mermaid Princess?"

"The Princess is on Noah?"

"Has the Day of Promise come?"

"Has Joy Boy returned?"

"Why can we not hear the Drums of Liberation?"

The mental noise intensified, ancient and curious, filled with confusion and expectation. Shirahoshi clutched her head as the barrage overwhelmed her senses.

"STOP!" she shouted suddenly, her voice sharp with irritation.

A burst of Conqueror's Haki exploded outward from her in a brilliant wave, rippling through the ocean like a shockwave of authority. The water itself seemed to part as crimson lightning flickered faintly around her.

Every Sea King froze. Then, in perfect unison, they bowed.

"We apologize, Princess."

"We welcome the Princess."

The sea was filled with deep, resonant apologies and reverent greetings. Massive serpentine bodies lowered respectfully, forming a living corridor around Noah.

Yamato's eyes sparkled like a child witnessing a miracle. "Shirahoshi! You can do that?!" she exclaimed excitedly.

Ren's mouth twitched slightly. Since when did awakening Conqueror's Haki become so simple?

He had been beaten— ahem, trained —by Hancock for months before he awakened his own. Yamato had only unlocked hers while fighting Kaido in a near-death state.

Then understanding dawned on him. Shirahoshi was stronger than in the original timeline. She hadn't been trapped in the Hard-Shell Tower for years. She had been receiving constant energy from him, just like Hancock and Yamato.

Her growth had accelerated naturally.

Ren stepped forward calmly and answered the Sea Kings. "Joy Boy hasn't returned. It is I who is taking Fish-Man Island to the surface."

As he spoke, he entered his Beast-Human form. Golden fur shimmered across his body, crimson cloak fluttering violently despite the water pressure, and the wild aura of the Monkey King spread through the ocean.

The Sea Kings recoiled instinctively. Some trembled. Others stared in awe.

"That presence…"

"It feels ancient."

"Sun… fire… authority…"

Shirahoshi steadied herself and spoke gently. "I don't know who Joy Boy is. The one taking me and Fish-Man Island to the sea is Ren."

At her voice, the Sea Kings bowed again.

"Then allow us to follow you, Princess."

"We have been waiting for the Mermaid Princess for eight hundred years."

"Let us serve the Princess once more."

Shirahoshi hesitated, her massive eyes filled with uncertainty. "Eight hundred years…" she murmured softly. "That's longer than I can imagine."

Ren glanced at her conflicted expression and spoke calmly. "Let them pull Noah. It was meant to be moved by Sea Kings. That way, they can serve you."

Yamato leaned closer to Shirahoshi excitedly. "It sounds epic! An army of giant sea monsters escorting us!"

Shirahoshi bit her lip, then nodded gently. "Can you help us move Noah?"

"It is our honor, Princess."

"We shall serve the Princess again."

Massive coils wrapped carefully around Noah, not crushing but supporting it. The Sea Kings adjusted their positions with surprising gentleness.

Yamato leaned over the edge of the ark, laughing in awe. "This is insane! They're so huge!"

One particularly enormous Sea King peeked an eye upward curiously. "Small horned one is loud."

Yamato blinked, then burst into laughter. "You can hear me?!"

Ren chuckled. "They hear more than you think."

Shirahoshi placed her hand against one of the Sea Kings gently. "Thank you," she said sincerely.

The Sea King's massive eye softened. "We have waited for you, Princess."

Back on Fish-Man Island, citizens stared upward in disbelief as they saw the silhouettes of countless Sea Kings forming around Noah.

"They're bowing!" someone shouted.

"To the Princess!" another cried.

In the royal palace, Neptune's grip tightened around his trident as he watched through a viewing port. "Her Conqueror's Haki…" he whispered. "She awakened it."

Otohime's expression was both worried and proud. "She was always meant to be special," she said softly. "But this…"

Neptune exhaled slowly. "It draws attention."

Otohime nodded, though her gaze remained steady. "Ren is with her."

That simple statement seemed to steady Neptune's racing thoughts. "Yes," he agreed firmly. "If it is him… then even the world itself will think twice."

Far above, hidden within currents, a CP agent clutched a Den Den Mushi with trembling hands. The visual feed displayed Sea Kings bowing and Noah ascending.

"This is Agent C-12 reporting!" the agent whispered urgently. "Poseidon has awakened!"

On the other end, silence lingered for several seconds.

In the Holy Land of Mary Geoise, the Five Elders stood in a dimly lit chamber as the report echoed through the room.

"Repeat that."

"Poseidon has awakened. The Mermaid Princess commands Sea Kings. Ren is present."

A heavy silence followed. One Elder slammed his cane against the marble floor. "Impossible."

Another's voice trembled faintly despite his effort to remain composed. "Not yet. It wasn't supposed to be now."

"And Ren?" a third asked coldly.

"He has entered a Beast-Human form. The Sea Kings reacted with fear."

Anger filled the chamber like suffocating smoke.

"That man interferes with everything."

"He moves islands."

"He allies with Elbaf."

"He now stands beside Poseidon."

One Elder's voice carried a hint of fear beneath the fury. "If he connects the Ancient Weapons…"

The sentence remained unfinished, but the implication hung heavily in the air.

"Prepare contingency measures," another ordered. "Increase surveillance."

"And Sakazuki?"

"Focus on containment," the eldest replied coldly. "Direct confrontation is not an option."

Back beneath the sea, Noah began ascending steadily, guided by the synchronized movements of the Sea Kings. The ark glowed faintly within the protective bubble coating as they approached the Grand Line.

Yamato bounced excitedly across the deck. "We're traveling with an ancient army!" she shouted happily. "This is the best adventure ever!"

Shirahoshi laughed freely, her earlier irritation forgotten. "It feels like a parade!"

Ren stood near the bow, arms folded as his golden aura slowly calmed. He looked at the massive procession surrounding them.

"Eight hundred years of waiting," he murmured quietly.

Yamato tilted her head. "You thinking about Joy Boy?"

Ren smirked faintly. "No."

He looked at Shirahoshi laughing among Sea Kings that once waited for another.

"I'm thinking about how this world keeps expecting someone else to return," he said softly. "But maybe it just needs someone to act."

The Sea Kings surged upward, pulling Noah toward the surface light.

Inside the shimmering bubble, Shirahoshi and Yamato pressed their faces toward the glowing waters above, laughter echoing through the ark.

The ancient tide had begun moving again. And this time, it moved not for prophecy—but for choice.
