All Alex could do was to remain frozen on the welcome mat, with his gaze locked onto the breathtaking woman standing before him in her revealing red silk nightdress.
Soon a fiery heat he knew all too well as a man, surged straight through his chest, and he swore he could literally hear his own heart thumping hard against his ribs like some kind of war drum.
It wasn't easy in the least bit, but he managed to force those feelings down before he could finally regain his composure and pulled his eyes away from those two massive babies in front of him.
Already having a pretty good idea of why she had summoned him over in such a frantic manners, Alex decided to play dumb. He wanted to tease this little woman so much.
So clearing his throat, he raised his eyebrows in innocence, and asked with a curious tone,
"So... what was so urgent that you needed my help right this second? Did someone break into your apartment, or is there a giant cockroach in your bathroom?"
