Chapter 40
The words had barely left his mouth when the steel giant suddenly moved.
BOOM!
The monster's foot slammed into the ground and in the next instant, its massive body lunged forward with terrifying speed, closing the distance in a few seconds. For something that looked way too large, it moved far too fast for its size.
Alex's eyes widened.
"Shit!"
He reacted in time and threw himself to the side just as a metallic fist slammed against the spot where he had been standing. The impact sent a violent tremor through the jagged terrain, forcing Alex to stagger as the shockwave nearly knocked him off his feet.
"Shit that was a close one. One punch from that bastard and I would have ended up dead."
