In fact, Alex knew that with the way he looked like a typical mundane college kid who had probably never touched a bottle of liquor in his life—Nyx would most likely believe his act immediately.
And if he happened to lose his balance...
Alex's lips slowly curled upward. Then suddenly falling on her by accident wouldn't look suspicious at all, he mused. Plus no matter how brief the contact ended up being. The aura would still be able to do its work in that brief expanse of time.
But there was a small problem though. If Nyx manages to see through the act... Then he might not leave this room with all his bones intact.
Alex took one slow, final deep breath, mentally bracing himself. If he was going to do this, then it had to look real. Not just clumsy—no. It had to be an all out, full blown, one hell of a fall.
