Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Yo

How's life

Been a while since I updated this chapter, we left off at an interesting spot last time, let's see what happens from there!

Start:

The living room was a cacophony of emotions, echoing with the diverse reactions of Naruto's companions following his latest escapade as the notorious villain, Sukuna.

Laughter dominated the atmosphere as Bee, along with Kurama, Sun Goku, Matatabi and Shukaku, couldn't contain their amusement. Their raucous laughter filled the room, shaking the very air with the sheer volume of their mirth.

Multiple couches in the room, three wide ones to be specific, one in the middle, with the remaining two on either side, all surrounding a table that was currently being seated on by Sun Goku and Chomei.

In the middle couch, Naruto sat at the middle, flanked by Kokou and Kurama, while Bee, on the couch to Naruto's left, was joined by Shukaku and Isobu. And to the couch on Naruto's right, Matatabi, Gyuki, and Saiken.

The room was home to eleven contrasting personalities, two human, nine powerful beasts currently in miniature, and a wide variety of rampaging emotion was flooded in.

The definition of chaos really.

Bee, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes, managed to choke out between guffaws, "Man, Naruto! You sure know how to stir up a storm! Did you see their faces? Priceless!"

Kurama, still chuckling, added, "That squid ink trick was something else, brat. You've got style, I'll give you that."

At least half the occupants in the room found joy in Naruto's mischief donned in the form of Sukuna terrorizing the hero society.

But the other half…

Amidst the raucous laughter, Saiken's voice boomed, laced with incredulity and concern.

"Are you insane, Naruto?! You have terrorized the entirety of Japan by just appearing from nowhere and humiliating countless heroes in one day including two of the top ten." His question and statement, meant to be a sobering call, only fueled the laughter, causing the others to double over even more, their amusement reaching new heights.

Naruto, trying to maintain a semblance of seriousness, couldn't help but release a snicker, furthering Saiken's ire. "Sorry Saiken." He apologized between gasps of laughter.

Then, with a motherly tone that cut through the laughter like a knife, Chomei stepped in.

Her voice was soft yet firm, carrying the weight of genuine concern. "Naruto, you need to consider the broader impact of your actions. The entire civilian populace is terrified. And in their desperation, the heroes will start hunting you down!"

She gazed at Naruto disapprovingly. "You are extremely powerful, but that doesn't mean you can't get hurt."

Hit by the attention and care of one of the three motherly personalities of the group, the shinobi winced as he looked at Chomei. "I don't mean to make you worry Chomei, but don't worry, I'll be fine."

And it was the truth.

He had taken a look at many video showing the capabilities of heroes both in Japan and out of Japan. Only a small number of them had a chance of defeating him and it was a small, small chance.

If he could feel pretty confident of defeating All-might, the one deemed as the most powerful hero in the world, then he could defeat anyone.

Although… it was probably best not to underestimate anyone. Last thing he needed was developing an Uchiha-like complex.

Seeing her still look unsatisfied. Naruto added. "If it helps my case, I do have a good reason for why I've decided to create a villain persona."

"I don't doubt that you do." Chomei admitted before pouting. "But I don't like the idea of people trying to hunt you down, no matter the reason."

The laughter began to subside as her words sank in, bringing a momentary pause to the joviality. Gyuki, who had been quietly observing the proceedings, let out a deep sigh, his voice resonant and slightly annoyed. "Well I have a question. Was it really necessary to use my tentacle in that manner, Naruto?"

Naruto, still grinning, turned to Gyuki, an impish twinkle in his eye. "Absolutely, it was the perfect touch, don't you think?" His response, light-hearted yet unapologetic, did little to alleviate Gyuki's exasperation.

In the midst of this entire emotional rollercoaster that everyone in the room was experiencing, Kokou and Isobu remained calm from the commotion.

Isobu, ever indifferent, seemed more interested in finding a quiet spot to continue his nap than engaging in the discussion. His presence was like a silent island of calm in the stormy sea of the living room.

Unfortunately for the turtle who only craved peace and quiet, no place ventured in this house would afford him with the silence he so desperately wanted.

As such, he may as well listen in and stay up to date.

While also trying to futilely sleep in this commotion, but that in itself was a work in progress.

Kokou, on the other hand, her demeanor gentle and contemplative, had simply been content to wait and listen, to try understand Naruto's thoughts and the feelings of those around her before she'd ultimately intervene

Remaining true to her role as the peacemaker of the group.

Curious about his wording from earlier, she nudged Naruto softly, prompting him to look down into her wise, calm eyes. The chaos around them seemed to fade into the background as she spoke, her voice low and imbued with a serene intelligence that always seemed to ground him.

"Naruto, you said you have a good reason for doing this, what is that reason?" Kokou asked, her inquiry not just about his immediate actions but probing the deeper intentions behind his dramatic upheaval of the hero system.

Naruto's cheeks flushed faintly as his mind briefly conjured an image of Mirko, his heart fluttering at the thought of her, dispelling the image, he returned back to reality.

But before he could confess the true catalyst behind his transformation into the notorious villain Sukuna, Matatabi's high-pitched squeal of excitement broke his concentration.

Naturally such a happy squeal had garnered the attention of everyone, and Matatabi, alternating her gaze between Chomei and Kokou, grinned happily. "I'll tell, I'll tell! Both of you! come with me quick. I'll explain everything in better detail."

Ignoring the unintended insult, Naruto simply watched as Matatabi hopped off the couch, landing on all fours before she scurried away excitedly, turning only to wait for the only other two remaining females of the group.

And intrigued by Matatabi's sudden enthusiasm, Chomei and Kokou shared a brief look before they quickly rose to follow her. Their movements were graceful and measured, each step echoing their intrinsic elegance and wisdom as they left

Back in the living room, the sudden departure of the females left a palpable gap. The remaining occupants—Naruto, Bee, and the male tailed beasts—exchanged a moment of silent confusion, their expressions a mix of amusement and bewilderment.

Breaking the silence, Bee coughed dramatically to capture everyone's attention.

He reached beside the couch, pulling out a stack of video game controllers with a flourish. "Alright, fellas! With the ladies gone, let's shift gears a bit!" His voice boomed with excitement as he waved the controllers in the air. "Who's up for a Super Smash Bros. tourney? Time to smash it out!"

Kurama, smirking at the challenge, grabbed a controller from Bee's outstretched hand. "Prepare to lose, Bee. You know I'm the king here."

Sun Goku, not one to back down from a challenge, chuckled as he took another controller. "Big talk from a fox. Let's see if you can keep up with a monkey's agility!"

Shukaku, always eager for any form of competition, snatched the last controller from the pile. "Count me in! Just remember, I don't play fair."

"Isobu, Saiken, Gyuki. You guys joining?" Naruto asked as he accepted a controller from Bee.

Isobu finally opened his eyes, gazing at Saiken, Gyuki, then everyone else before his gaze returned back to Saiken.

"It's about time I teach you not to yell at your superiors." Isobu declared.

Pandemonium instantly ensued as Saiken growled loudly and cursed before snatching a controller from Bee while everyone else were seized by harsh fits of laughter.

Time-skip: Five minutes later

Meanwhile, with the girls.

Kokou gushed and squealed happily as Matatabi unloaded the butterfly bomb that was Naruto's reason for crafting a villain persona. "We got to help him!"

"I know, right!" Matatabi fully agreed with a huge smile on her cat visage.

Noticing the lack of response from the third member of the female group, Matatabi and Kokou turned towards Chomei only to be taken aback by the horror that visibly manifested on her features.

"No! We have to protect Naruto from the evil of Woman!" Chomei thundered protectively.

Time-skip: Six days later

With a swift and powerful motion, Mirko pivoted and executed a high kick, her shin connecting with a resounding crack against the jaw of the fleeing villain who had ducked into the alley, hoping for escape. The impact sent him crumpling to the ground, unconscious before he even fully hit the pavement.

Mirko's leg returned to the ground with controlled grace, her body barely showing signs of the exertion. Standing over her latest conquest, she let out a frustrated sigh, her voice a mix of irritation and disappointment echoing off the grimy walls.

"Ughh. Is it too much to ask for a good fight!?" she grumbled to herself. The nighttime shadows of the alley seemed to swallow her words, offering no solace to her growing discontent.

In recent days, Mirko had thrown herself into the fray with unmatched fervor, taking on villain after villain in rapid succession. Each skirmish ended the same way: her opponents were no match for her speed and strength, quickly dispatched with a few well-placed strikes. Usually just one.

This relentless parade of easy victories did little to satisfy her; instead, it stoked the flames of her frustration, leaving her craving a challenge worthy of her skills.

She had thrown herself harder into the fray of activity because she had hoped that when news of her exploits would reach the recently dubbed king of villains ears, that he would march straight to her.

Instead, nothing.

Even after five consecutive days of relentless work, he still did not come.

Culminating into a deep frustration that was born from both his lack of appearance, and the weaklings who somehow seemed to mock her by being defeated so easily.

As she stepped away from the unconscious villain, her mind raced once more with thoughts of Sukuna—the enigmatic new villain who had stirred up all of Japan with the force of a raging storm.

His antics were bold and theatrical, leaving a trail of humiliated heroes in his wake, and among his newest victims in the past twenty-four hours was Hawks, the current third highest-ranking hero.

And the day before that, he faced and defeated Yoroi Musha and Crust, the eight and sixth highest ranked heroes.

He faced both of them in combat, actual combat, both at the same time. And won.

Having watched the recording herself, Mirko desperately searched even harder, wanting to face Sukuna.

The reports of these encounters filled her with a fiery cocktail of anticipation and annoyance.

"Why can't I find him?" she pondered aloud, her voice tinged with vexation as she exited the alley and moved briskly along the city's pulsating streets. "Is he avoiding me on purpose?"

The notion that Sukuna might be deliberately dodging her was both intriguing and infuriating. With each new report of his exploits, which seemed to flood in with every hour, her eagerness to confront him intensified. Sukuna's ability to evade her thus far only added to her vexation, fueling a competitive fire within her.

Mirko's irritation wasn't just about the missed opportunity for a decent fight; it was also about the perception that Sukuna seemed able to confront every hero but her.

"One way or another, we're going to be face to face Sukuna, and we will fight and I will win." She declared to no one.

"Oh?" A voice echoed from behind her. Whirling furiously towards the noise, Mirko gazed at the figure before her, stunned at how he had managed to sneak up on her despite her enhanced senses. Dressed in a black shirt, grey pants, and sporting a full banana head mask complete with glasses, stood the one and only Sukuna. "Well, that's a bold declaration. Question is… can you back up your words?"

Mirko's lips twisted savagely upwards into a grin, her red eyes gleaming with bloody intent as she slowly sauntered towards him. Naruto, enjoying the full perk of wearing sunglasses, allowed his eyes to wander over the formidable hero before him.

"Well, well. So you finally show up. I was starting to think you were avoiding me," she murmured in a tone that was both arousing and dangerous.

Sukuna chuckled, his voice echoing slightly under the mask as he responded with a nonchalant shrug, "Avoid you? Not at all, just figured I'd build. Let's call it... strategic patience."

"Strategic huh?"

Sukuna's smirk widened beneath his mask as he propelled himself into the air, a mere heartbeat before Mirko's devastating kick obliterated the concrete where he had stood. The force of her blow sent shockwaves rippling through the ground, a testament to the raw power behind her attack. She wasted no time, her muscles coiling like springs before launching herself skyward after her elusive target.

"Impressive," Sukuna murmured, his voice carrying a mixture of genuine respect and unbridled excitement. He barely had time to finish the thought before Mirko was upon him, her kicks a blur of motion and power.

Each strike she unleashed was precise and deadly, her legs a blur of powerful, bone-crushing blows aimed at Sukuna's vital points… and non-vital points.

Yet, despite the ferocity of her assault, Sukuna matched her move for move. In the air, the two clashed like titans, their bodies weaving a complex, violent dance that seemed to defy the very laws of gravity.

Sukuna's experience as a seasoned warrior showed as he blocked, parried, and dodged Mirko's attacks with a fluidity that spoke of years of battle-hardened training.

His arms moved in sync with her strikes, absorbing the force of her kicks or redirecting them with expert precision. Every time Mirko's leg shot forward, it met either the solid resistance of Sukuna's forearms or the empty air as he twisted out of the way.

Their aerial battle was a spectacle of pure combat mastery, the kind that could only be achieved by fighters who had spent their lives honing their skills to near perfection.

Onlookers, if there were any, would have been captivated by the sheer intensity of the fight, the speed, and the power that both combatants displayed.

"You're not bad!" Mirko shouted, her voice carrying a note of exhilaration as she pushed herself harder, determined to break through Sukuna's defense. She spun in mid-air, her leg snapping out in a roundhouse kick aimed at Sukuna's head. The force of the attack could have easily shattered stone, but Sukuna brought up his arm just in time, catching her leg with his hand.

His grip then tightened around Mirko's leg and with a swift motion, he hurled her away, the momentum propelling her through the air. The rabbit hero twisted in mid-flight, using the force of the throw to her advantage. Her boots met the ground with a skidding halt, dust kicking up around her as she regained her balance.

Landing on a heavy sumo stance, Naruto, standing up to full height, still in his Sukuna persona, cupped the sides of his banana head mask as if he were blushing beneath it. His voice dripped with playful mockery. "Oh, if you keep showering me with such praise, I might just swoon and fall head over heels for you!"

Unable to hold back her amusement at his words, Mirko burst out in a loud laugh. Taking a few seconds to let the mirth fade away, her eyes gleaming with excitement, she uttered in a teasing tone. "I'd like to see that happen, big boy. But fair warning—once you fall for me, there's no getting back up."

Sukuna chuckled, the sound deep and resonant. "A dangerous offer. I might be tempted."

Mirko's eyes flashed with excitement as she heard Sukuna's teasing words. She didn't need any more invitation. In an instant, she blitzed toward him, the ground beneath her cracking from the sheer force of her launch. Within a heartbeat, she closed the distance, her leg already whipping through the air in a vicious high kick aimed straight for Sukuna's head.

But Sukuna was ready.

He ducked just in time, the wind from her kick brushing past the top of his head. He could feel the raw power behind the strike, and he knew that had it connected, it would have sent him flying. Pretty impressive.

As he crouched low, Sukuna retaliated with a sweeping kick aimed at her supporting leg, but Mirko was faster. She hopped off the ground, using the momentum of her missed kick to propel herself upward and backward, flipping gracefully in mid-air.

Mirko landed lightly on her feet, her body instantly coiled to spring again. She didn't give Sukuna a moment to recover. In a blur of motion, she dashed toward the alley walls, her legs pumping as she bounded off them with the agility of a rabbit, using the narrow space to her advantage. Her speed increased with each leap, becoming a whirlwind of motion that closed in on Sukuna from all directions.

Swish

Fwoosh.

Sukuna watched her with sharp eyes, his movements relaxed but precise. He could see the way her muscles tensed before she leapt off each wall, the way her eyes focused on her target with laser-like precision. And it did not escape his notice that she was becoming even faster as the seconds rolled by.

As she ricocheted off the walls, Sukuna readied himself, tracking her movements.

Mirko's next attack came from above, as she pushed off the wall and aimed a powerful kick at Sukuna's head. He sidestepped, feeling the air whoosh past him as her leg cut through the space where he had just been standing. Without pausing, she twisted her body mid-air and brought her other leg around in a spinning back kick, aimed at Sukuna's ribs.

Sukuna blocked the kick with his forearm, the impact sending a jolt through his bones. But before he could counter, Mirko was already in motion again, using the recoil from her kick to flip backward and land lightly on her feet. Her speed was incredible, almost too fast to track, but Sukuna was no ordinary opponent.

He waited for her next attack, knowing it would come from an unexpected angle.

And he was right. Mirko suddenly dropped low and launched herself at him, aiming a low kick at his knees to unbalance him. Sukuna jumped just in time, avoiding the sweep, but as he landed, Mirko was already on him, her fist driving towards his midsection.

Sukuna brought his arm down to block, but the force of the punch still made him grit his teeth. She was strong—very strong. He responded with a quick jab aimed at her face, but she weaved out of the way, her reflexes sharp.

Perhaps it was best that he stopped holding back so much, he didn't need to go sage mode or six path sage mode, God no. but he could certainly fight her to the best of his abilities in his base form.

Mirko followed up with a rapid combination of punches and kicks, each one flowing into the next with deadly precision.

Sukuna blocked and parried, his movements fluid and controlled, but she was relentless, pressing him harder with each strike. She pushed off the wall again, coming at him from a different angle with a roundhouse kick aimed at his head. Sukuna ducked, then immediately countered with a quick uppercut aimed at her gut.

The blow connected, driving the air from Mirko's lungs and forcing her to double over slightly. Sukuna didn't waste the opportunity. He followed up with a brutal cross, his fist slamming into her side with enough force to send her flying back down the alley. Mirko's body twisted in the air before she managed to right herself, landing in a crouch several meters away.

She skidded to a halt, the soles of her boots scraping against the ground as she steadied herself.

Mirko wiped the trace of blood from the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand, a feral grin spreading across her face. "Not bad, Sukuna. I've got to admit, you've lasted longer than most."

Sukuna's response was immediate, his tone laced with playful arrogance. "Oh, I can last for a long time, bunny. The question is, can you keep up?"

The rabbit's hero's eyes gleamed with a mix of excitement and challenge as she circled Sukuna, her muscles coiled and ready to spring at any moment. "Oh, I can more than keep up. You'll be begging for a break before I even start to slow down."

"Did you just call me a bunny?" Mirko asked sweetly, as though not at all irritated, though the vein that was bulging on the side of her forehead spoke of her true feelings.

Naruto smirked behind his mask. "And what if I did?"

Her eyes narrowed dangerously. "Then I might have to show you what this 'bunny' can really do. You ever seen a rabbit go on the attack? It's not pretty."

Oh?

He tilted his head, feigning deep thought. "Hmm, I've seen a lot of things in my time, but a bunny on a rampage? That sounds like something I wouldn't want to miss."

"Oh, you won't miss it," Mirko shot back, her tone laced with both threat and promise. "In fact, you might just get the front-row seat."

"That doesn't sound too bad." Naruto barked back playfully.

Their banter continued as they circled each other, their eyes locked in a battle of wills as much as it was of strength. Long seconds passed, too long. The tension between them tangible as one assessed the other for weaknesses.

Nearly half a minute passed before Mirko's grin widened, and she tilted her head slightly, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "You know, for a villain, you're not half bad to look at. Shame you're wearing that ridiculous mask."

Sukuna's posture remained relaxed, but there was a gleam of mischief in his eyes. "Careful, Mirko. If you keep complimenting me like that, I might think you're trying to flirt with me."

She laughed, a throaty sound filled with both amusement and challenge. "Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. But don't think for a second that means I'm going to go easy on you."

Without warning, Sukuna vanished from her sight, his speed blurring the space where he had stood only a heartbeat before.

Mirko's instincts flared, and she barely had time to react as Sukuna reappeared right in front of her, his sudden proximity catching her off guard. He was so close she could feel the warmth of his breath against her skin.

"Same here, bunny," Sukuna whispered, his voice laced with a mix of amusement and challenge.

But Mirko wasn't one to be outdone. She reacted instantly, throwing a quick punch aimed at his gut. Sukuna anticipated the move, blocking her punch with his forearm and twisting his body to deliver a counterattack. Mirko ducked under his strike and launched herself backward, creating space between them.

Normally she would have pressed head on but…

Considering how her opponent had fared during the entire bout till now, it was obvious that she couldn't afford to be too reckless and make any mistakes or openings for the villain to exploit.

Sukuna's grin was hidden beneath his mask, but his voice carried a cocky edge. "I've got plenty more where that came from."

A split second later, they clashed in the center of the alleyway, their movements a blur of speed and precision. They continued their fight, exchanging blows, ducking and weaving as one threw punches, kicks, elbows, knees, everything that constituted of bringing harm.

Kick to the side of the temple.

Blocked.

Uppercut to the mid-section.

Dodged.

A low sweep kick.

Jumped.

Mirko gritted her teeth, no matter what she did, her opponent was just one. Fucking. Step. Ahead.

It was pissing off that she couldn't land a single hit now.

And that anger gave rise to a new bout of much needed energy.

With that, she launched into a barrage of kicks and punches, her movements blurring as she pushed her speed to the limit. Sukuna met her head-on, blocking and parrying with equal fervor. The alleyway became a whirlwind of motion, the two of them moving so fast that it was almost impossible to keep track of who was attacking and who was defending.

Just when it seemed like neither would give an inch, Sukuna saw an opening. He shifted his weight, grabbing Mirko's arm as she went for a punch and using her momentum against her. With a swift motion, he twisted his body, pulling her off balance and slamming her back-first into the ground with a powerful judo throw.

Mirko gasped in pain as the air was forced from her lungs, her body hitting the concrete with a heavy thud. The impact reverberated through her bones, momentarily stunning her. Sukuna crouched down beside her for a split second, his eyes locking with hers through the mask.

Before she could strike back, he jumped away, putting distance between them. Mirko, still reeling from the slam, quickly managed to get back on her feet, her eyes narrowing at him in confusion.

"What the hell are you doing?" she demanded, her voice a mix of anger and befuddlement.

Sukuna adopted a thinking pose, one hand on his chin as if seriously considering her question. Then, with a mischievous glint in his eye, he said, "Running away."

And with that, he turned on his heel and bolted down the alley, his laughter echoing in the night.

Mirko stood there for a moment, stunned by the audacity of his move. But the shock quickly gave way to indignation and anger. "Oh, you bastard!" she yelled, her voice ringing out as she took off after him, her legs pumping furiously as she closed the distance between them.

Sukuna glanced back over his shoulder, his pace quickening as he saw her gaining on him. "Come on, bunny! You're going to have to be faster than that!"

"Don't call me bunny!" she shouted back, her voice laced with frustration as she pushed herself to catch up.

Unfortunately for the rabbit hero, Sukuna, the King of Villains, would escape her pursuit, ready to terrorize the people of Japan for more days to come.
