Silence returned to the Amazon soon enough. Flocks of birds that had escaped the trees they nested in minutes ago flew back.
But there was a difference that probably won't be clear at first glance.
A section of the rainforest—about ten square kilometres to be precise—had been zipped away from reality, now existing outside it.
Essentially a pocket dimension, only accessible by Gabriel and Ambrose.
To make up for the space taken out to create the dimension, reality corrected itself, knitting parts of the forest that weren't originally connected before.
The SS-Rank Rift also existed within the pocket dimension now, alongside Javier and the entity.
Sadly, Ambrose couldn't celebrate or even acknowledge this new feat.
"What?" Gabriel nearly shouted after Ambrose filled him in on what happened with Orion. "He just… took him? Just like that?"
