"Didn't think I'd be getting a new episode of 'Surviving Ambrose Hale'," Loki mumbled, a grin playing on their face as Valentine walked past the balcony doors.
The Necromancer kept his stare on Ambrose, neither saying nor doing anything. He took slow steps as though registering that it was indeed the stubborn Guide before him.
Ambrose got off the bed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head. "V-Valentine. I wasn't… I didn't think you'd…" Nothing he could think of made it out of his mouth.
Valentine didn't push.
Rather, once he'd looked at Ambrose to his satisfaction… his shoulders slouched with relief. "You fucking chaos gremlin." He rushed to him before he could even blink, arms wrapping around him. "Y-You're alive. I didn't want to believe the damn feedback I was getting from your Necrotic Mark."
Everyone in the room was left stunned by the move.
