† That was a satisfying fight. †
The Overmind expressed that this battle was truly refreshing.
Although that Craftworld was not the strongest or largest of its kind, it still demonstrated the formidable power of a Craftworld. Had the Overmind not realized the Swarm's lack of top-tier combat units and insisted on creating a Queen of Blades, it would have taken at least several years to conquer this vessel.
† Alright, now it's time for the happy moment of receiving the spoils of war. †
The Queen of Blades led a small contingent of the Swarm into the command hall of the Yelanke Craftworld. To prevent the Aeldari from sabotaging the internal instruments, she used her psionic powers to paralyze everyone the moment she entered.
She brushed her hand over the Aeldari instruments, and a brilliant star map of the Milky Way materialized before her and the Overmind.
As for why it only showed the Milky Way? Don't ask. If you must know, it's because there are bugs and Necrons outside the galaxy.
† Just as I thought, the Craftworld's star map is incredibly detailed. The star maps from the Eldar Empire era are indeed much more intricate than those of the Imperium of Man. †
Even though this map might not have been updated for ten thousand years, it didn't really matter. Ten thousand years is a blink of an eye for this galaxy. Aside from a few planets that might have been blown up, destroyed, or swallowed by Warp storms, the vast majority of planets remained exactly as they were.
I see Terra.
The Overmind easily located the position of Earth.
† Truly great. If the Overmind from StarCraft 2 had this thing, the UED wouldn't have stood a chance; he could have just opened a wormhole and wiped out Earth directly. †
I know some people will say, "Maybe the Overmind would get wrecked by the UED," but hold your tongue for a moment.
† For now, let's not provoke the Emperor. Let the old man sit on his Golden Throne. My biggest problem is... †
The Overmind quickly noticed Tomb World markers on several of the new planets he had occupied.
† Oh, bad luck. †
Although those planets were desolate, they contained vast amounts of usable mineral resources and were not easily abandoned. It seemed a clash with the Necrons was inevitable sooner or later. This was normal, after all; only the Necrons and the T'au had yet to trade blows with the Overmind.
Oh, right, right—the T'au. Where is the "Young Master of the galaxy called T'au"? I'm going to go bully the T'au!
The T'au should be located in the eastern region of the Damocles Gulf, which is already the easternmost edge of the galaxy.
† I always thought the galaxy was three-dimensional, but looking at this map, it's actually quite flat. Compared to the vast span between the eastern and western fringes, the distance between the top and bottom of the galaxy is negligible—though, of course, that distance is still measured in light-years. †
† Alright, time to let the Leviathans go bully the T'au military. †
If any other Warhammer 40K transmigrator heard this, they would definitely say, "Well done!"
What kind of transmigrator would you be if you didn't teach the young T'au race about the cruelty and darkness of this galaxy upon arriving in the world of 40K?
† And then... those planets suitable for life that aren't held by powerful factions. There really aren't many. Most are occupied by humans, and a small portion are Ork worlds. †
The Swarm appeared too late. Back in the Golden Age, humans had occupied almost every habitable planet. Any remaining habitable planets without humans existed for special reasons—either the local lifeforms were too ridiculous, like Catachan, or the environment was so harsh that even humans who could adapt to Hive Cities found it unbearable.
† However, there are still many planets that can be used; they just need a bit of cleaning. †
The Overmind marked many planets suitable for development. Even if they had some humans, Orks, or even Chaos presence on them, they were nothing to fear. Just kill them all.
The Overmind saved the star map. Most areas of this Craftworld would be infected by Creep, but the command hall area would be spared. With the Overmind's brain capacity, he could memorize the entire map, but keeping a backup didn't hurt. This Craftworld could also serve as a mobile naval platform.
† Alright, next, let's check on the remnants of the Eldar forces. †
Some might wonder why the Overmind didn't use Melina's body to create a new Queen of Blades. It's actually quite simple: First, a Queen of Blades isn't that easy to make; not every Eldar can be converted. Second, one Queen is enough; there's no need for so many spokespeople.
As for her power? Psionic energy is ultimately not the Swarm's forte. Like the Emperor, even if it requires more effort, the Overmind must never rely too heavily on the power of the Warp. Creating one Queen of Blades had already attracted Slaanesh's attention; if he created a horde of them and Slaanesh's true form manifested to turn the Overmind into a pet, he'd lose everything.
† Hmm, the cleanup is almost done. †
The Aeldari forces were in full retreat. They were either escaping through Webway gates or fighting to their last breath. Eldar warriors, who could normally slay scores of enemies single-handedly, now lay in the streets like trash. Before the Creep could even spread over them, Zerglings were already actively dragging the corpses back to the Hive.
What a pity. The Eldar have lost another Craftworld. How many do they have left now? The Tyranids devoured a Craftworld, so it would be unacceptable if the Zerg didn't devour one too. If the Tyranids can eat them, why can't my Zerg?
† Probably ten or twenty left? Whatever. If more come, I'll just eat more... †
Suddenly, on a street that should have been devoid of resistance, a special group of Aeldari appeared wearing colorful, theatrical costumes. Every one of them possessed agility far exceeding that of a normal Eldar warrior. The coordinated attacks of the Zerg failed to pose even a slight threat to these people.
† Harlequins!!! †
The Queen of Blades also sensed the arrival of the Harlequins immediately. She lunged upward, landing on a rooftop, prepared to intercept these Aeldari Harlequins.
† Why show up now, you clowns?! †
As a former Dark Eldar, she naturally knew what Harlequins were. One should never be fooled by their ridiculous outfits. Every Harlequin is handpicked by the Aeldari Laughing God, Cegorach, and possesses extraordinary skills even among their kind. They have even broken into the Imperial Palace of Terra multiple times, causing no small amount of trouble for the Adeptus Custodes.
Some Warhammer players even call the Harlequins the "Custodes of the Eldar" because they do not need Soul Stones or the consumption of souls to avoid Slaanesh; they are directly protected by the Laughing God.
The Harlequins ignored the Queen of Blades, heading straight toward the location of the High Farseer Melina's corpse.
† Ignoring me?! †
Infuriated, the Queen of Blades launched an attack instantly. In the past, she wouldn't have dared to block them because she couldn't win, but now she certainly dared!
However, her psionic attacks weirdly dissipated into the surroundings, failing to hit a single Harlequin. Eerie, mocking laughter echoed through the air.
