In the middle of the suffocating silence that followed the less than four move beat down Riley gave the two Brides, Marishka seemed to think that she suddenly had a chance and dived right towards Riley.
This gave Van Hellsing a very clear opening , which he utilized perfectly , firing a bullet from the Samaritan revolver that went through the Vampire's chest.
Her momentum carried her forward as the disintegration started spreading outward from her chest and her flesh blackened , boiled and melted.
The blackened bones scattered at Riley's feet in the view of the other two healing brides who immediately launched into sorrowful hisses.
Verona and Aleera were clearly angry and probably wanted to kill everyone here , but after what Riley had done to them , that anger was crushed by fear.
And as an advanced Observation Haki user who had even touched future sight levels , it was easy for Riley to pick up on emotions and even their mental state to an extent.
Luckily for the Brides, that fear helped them abandon their rage and retreat with loud screeches and hisses of , what Riley assumed was , sorrow....or maybe it was still rage.
'I honestly can't tell if they are more sad or angry...so weird.'
As expected , the villagers in all their infinite stupidity still came out with the intention to condemn Van Hellsing and Riley for killing a Vampire.
"This is stupid on so many levels. You guys deal with this." Riley muttered before grabbing his backpack and standing beside Van Hellsing and Carl who were already being surrounded again.
"The famous Van Hellsing himself , your reputation precedes you."
Anna's statement immediately silenced the crowd as they realized who they were threatening.
It seemed even in a remote place like Transylvania , Van Hellsing's reputation as both a murderer and a monster hunter was known to some extent.
Van Hellsing sighed at that then said "You should value your life as much as others do princess."
"This is the first man to kill a Vampire in over 100 years , I think that alone has earned him a drink." announced Anna ignoring what Van Hellsing said completely.
The crowd lowered their weapons or more like farming tools ready to retreat but then one voice rose up which ignited a new wave of fear and nervousness among them.
"What about the child?"
Riley had stopped paying attention when all this started so when he heard the question and looked away from the system he immediately froze because everyone was staring at him.
"Seriously , how creepier can you people get." muttered Riley in disbelief before moving behind Van Hellsing.
"He is non of your concern. Besides , it's not like you could do anything to him." Shouted Van Hellsing with a hint of amusement.
That statement sent a ripple of uncertainty through the crowd which Riley didn't even bother recognizing as he opened his sign in interface to begin signing into his rewards.
The first four bride sign ins for Anna and the Brides gave relatively low level rewards but they still had their uses.
The first and probably most useful was Anna followed by the Aleera , Verona and Marishka whose rewards were less interesting but helpful for his future plans.

The robe set was a very beautiful gold and dark green complete Royal medieval princess' robe with matching footwear.
As for the Dame set , it was medieval knight Armour designed for a female with a helmet , pauldrons and everything else. Then there was the jewelry set which was a small silver ornate chest with all sorts of jewelry inside.
The most interesting things were the love breathing manual , vials of blood , Kasaka's venom pouch and Daylight rings because Riley could use them to strengthen future subordinates.
Love breathing was good and all but the whole ribbon thing was not Riley's forte so he definitely wasn't learning that.
The Lasso of truth was only ever going to get useful later on in the future just like the cursed charm pendant since their effects were useless to Riley at the moment.
Then there was the most intriguing one , the pokemon. It was a literal pokemon soul , bound to him like a familiar of some sort , but he could only know which pokemon it was after integrating the soul bond.
Everything except the pokemon went straight into the Inventory then Riley absorbed that soul bond causing a rush of surprisingly immense spiritual energy to flow into his body before the connection formed as a spiritual prescence flew out from his body.
The ghostly Dark purple and blue spiritual prescence encircled Riley's body almost like an excited child then coalesced beside him as an ethereal blue skinned figure in dark purple Armour.
Along with that , a Stat page opened infront of Riley explaining about the pokemon infront of him.

Riley was actually speechless for almost a minute just rereading to be sure he saw it right.
'This is...unexpected. It's like a super pokemon.'
Basing on the Stat scaling , the pokemon was probably even stronger than Riley right now by a good amount since a speed Stat of 85 is already basically S rank in Hunter terms.
And the Attack Stat added Strength , Agility , skill damage and weapon damage each at the value depicted on the attack Stat. So the pokemon had top tier S rank hunter strength.
'Wait , this is too powerful to come from signing into an ordinary human princess....maybe the importance to plot also matters.
Anna is basically the female lead , so it makes sense.'
If that was true then it meant that Riley couldn't avoid plot and would have to participate to get better sign ins and meet the core plot characters as well as witnessing events.
This didn't affect Riley at all though , because he had already decided that if he felt like changing plot and no one said otherwise , he would change it.
If the sign in opportunity didn't look very attractive , he could skip it anyway. Given his current undeveloped potential , a few low level rewards probably wouldn't hurt his growth speed much.
