Chapter 157 - Chapter 157: Tauros’s Wrath!

"Zii~"

Pidgeotto realized it had nothing left… so it could only release a thin stream of liquid from behind.

"Tick… tick… tick…"

The pale yellow droplets fell onto the young Tauros leader's face. For a moment, the leader froze…

"Pidge, pidge~!"

"Haha! After eating that, you need something to wash it down, right? How's it taste? Premium service from Master Bird!"

At this point, Pidgeotto had completely let go. Once you cross a line once, doing it again feels a lot easier.

"Moo!!"

No one bullies Tauros like this!

The young leader had never suffered such humiliation. Its entire body trembled as rage consumed it—its eyes turned completely blood-red.

"Moo!!!"

If I don't kill this bird today, I'm not worthy of being a Tauros!

The leader threw its head back and roared, its voice carrying far into the distance—as if calling for reinforcements.

"Icarus couldn't help but mutter,

"Pidgeotto… you've officially surpassed your teacher."

"Moo!" "Moo~!"

Soon, distant echoes of responding cries rang out.

"Thud! Thud! Thud!"

The sound of charging hooves grew louder and louder.

At the same time, the Tauros trapped near Icarus began struggling wildly, ignoring their injuries as they tried to break free from the poisoned nets.

"…Run. Back into the Poké Balls. Pidgeotto, keep pulling aggro—fly ahead!"

Seeing the situation spiral out of control, Icarus instantly recalled Victreebel and turned to escape, ordering Pidgeotto to keep the herd's attention.

According to his earlier route, the territory of the Beedrill colony wasn't far ahead.

He remembered encountering an Arbok earlier, followed by two patrolling Beedrill. That meant the hive had to be nearby.

Tauros didn't eat meat and were usually peaceful—so Beedrill had chosen this area as relatively safe territory.

"But let's see if they still think that now…"

Icarus glanced back at the massive dust cloud and thundering herd behind him, almost feeling bad for the Beedrill.

Almost.

To keep the Tauros enraged, he had Pidgeotto occasionally circle back, make taunting motions, and provoke them further.

As for himself, he just ran—full speed.

A few minutes later, checking the map, he saw he was getting close. His aching legs somehow found new strength.

Another two minutes—and he spotted them.

"Kakuna! Metapod! I love you guys!"

"Pidgeotto, charge in!"

Seeing the cocoon Pokémon on the trees, Icarus shouted loudly to draw attention, while pulling out a disposable protective charm.

Crack!

A faint barrier formed around him.

"Buzz—! Buzz—!"

The Beedrill had already sensed the disturbance. Several patrol members rushed out immediately.

The moment they saw Icarus and Pidgeotto—and the massive dust cloud behind them—they attacked without hesitation.

Poison Sting!

"Heh. Fodder."

"Pidgeotto, blow them away—then use Twister!"

"Whoosh—!"

The incoming poison needles were scattered effortlessly. Moments later, a small tornado slammed into the Beedrill, knocking them out of the air.

"Don't waste time—keep moving!"

Icarus didn't even bother finishing them off. The real chaos was just beginning.

"Kii—! Kii—!"

On the branches, Kakuna and Metapod began glowing—evolving instantly in response to the threat.

"Burning your life force just to evolve… pity. I'm not your enemy. Look behind you."

Newly evolved Butterfree and Beedrill turned—

—and froze.

"Moo!!!"

A massive herd of enraged Tauros, eyes blood-red, charged straight toward them.

"Buzz! Buzz!"

One Beedrill rushed back to alert the colony. The rest immediately shifted focus—forgetting about Icarus entirely.

From their perspective, he was already dead.

"Good. Pidgeotto, gain altitude. We watch from here."

Floating mid-air, Icarus observed the unfolding chaos.

Meanwhile, Butterfree and Beedrill attempted to intercept the herd.

"Pidge~!"

Right before entering the territory, Pidgeotto followed Icarus's earlier command—performing one final… "demonstration."

"MOO!!!"

The Tauros leader completely lost its sanity.

Ignoring everything in front of it, its horns glowed white as it charged forward with unstoppable force.

"Moo! Moo!!!"

The entire herd followed—using Horn Attack, smashing straight into the Beedrill territory.

"Boom! Crack!"

The few Beedrill and Butterfree trying to negotiate were instantly struck down—sent flying or trampled aside as the herd stormed through.

The battlefield descended into chaos.

Icarus watched from above, calm and calculating.

The fire had been lit.

Now—it was time to see how big it would burn.
