Chapter 9 - RBE 6

The Grand Ceremony Hall

— Moments After the Uproar

The air trembled with spiritual pressure. Silk banners fluttered wildly as if caught in a storm that no wind had summoned.

At the center of the shattered marble floor stood Tian Xu, robes flowing like pale fire, his eyes burning with a resolve that silenced even the loudest whispers.

Behind him, Tian Ya struggled to steady her breath, her hands shaking from fury and disbelief.

Tian Xu (without turning back):"Elder Rong… take her."

Tian Ya:"Grandfather—no! I won't leave you here!"

Elder Rong:gripping her wrist firmly "Forgive me, Young Mistress. This is his command."

Tian Xu:"Do not hesitate. The ship must depart before sunset."

The elders of the Tian Sect rose from their seats, their auras unfolding like towering walls.

Sect Elder:"Tian Xu, stand down. You cannot oppose the entire sect."

A faint smile touched Tian Xu's lips — not arrogant, not reckless, but peaceful.

Tian Xu:"I do not stand here to win.

I stand here… to buy time."

[The Clash]

A thunderous boom echoed as the first wave of disciples charged. Tian Xu lifted his palm, and a radiant barrier erupted outward, sending a shockwave across the hall. Pillars cracked, tiles lifted, and the grand chamber became a battlefield in a single breath.

Spiritual lights collided like falling stars.

Each strike he delivered was precise, each movement carrying decades of cultivation and unyielding will. Yet for every opponent he pushed back, two more stepped forward. The sect was vast — endless — a tide that did not retreat.

Tian Ya twisted against Elder Rong's grip, tears streaking down her face.

Tian Ya:"Let me go! He's alone!"

Elder Rong:"He is not alone. He carries all of us with him."

Her cries echoed through the stone passage as she was pulled farther away, her spiritual senses still bound to the hall behind her.

Every explosion of energy, every tremor in the ground, felt like a thread snapping in her chest.

[Back in the Hall]

Blood stained the once-polished floor. Tian Xu's breathing had grown heavier, yet his eyes remained unbroken.

Around him lay shattered weapons, torn banners, and disciples too stunned to rise.

Di Tian Yi (coldly):"You sacrifice yourself for a clan already fading and a bιτςh."

Tian Xu:"A fading light still burns brighter than a hollow throne."

He surged forward once more, unleashing the last of his power. The ceiling cracked, sunlight pouring through the fractured roof like divine fire.

For a fleeting second, he looked less like a man… and more like a pillar holding up a collapsing sky.

But even pillars fall.

The combined force of the sect descended. Light clashed against overwhelming shadows, and the explosion that followed shook the mountains themselves.

[At the Hidden Dock]

The Holy-Class World Ship hummed with ancient energy, its colossal gates opening like the jaws of destiny. Clan members boarded in hurried silence, fear and grief etched into every face.

Tian Ya broke free for a single step — just one — before Elder Rong caught her again.

From the distant skyline, a final burst of light erupted above the Tian Sect, brilliant and brief… then gone. Her knees weakened.

Tian Ya (whispering): "Grandfather…"

All she could see, through tears and distance, was the fading glow where he once stood — a silhouette swallowed by dust and silence. No final words reached her. No farewell remained. Only the echo of his resolve lingered in the trembling air.

Departure

The ship's gates closed with a deep, resonant thrum. Chains lifted, engines awakened, and the vessel began to rise beyond the mist-covered cliffs.

Tian Ya pressed her trembling hands against the deck rail, tears falling freely now. Below her, the Tian Sect shrank into a blur of stone and smoke — the place that had been her home, her cage, and her grandfather's final battlefield.

Behind her lay survival.

Behind him lay sacrifice.

And as the world ship sailed into the horizon, carrying the remnants of the Light Clan toward an uncertain future, Tian Ya understood the cruel truth carved into that day:

He had not fought to defeat the sect.

He had fought… so she would still have a tomorrow.
