Chapter 36 - Chapter 35: The Great Unboxing

Beneath the moonlight, deep in the forest—

Clang!

Three golden blades crashed together, steel shrieking as sparks exploded across the darkness.

Two blond heroes had collided here in a battle so violent it felt unreal.

Gilgamesh brought his sword down with crushing force. Arthur answered without hesitation—raising his Star-forged holy blade to meet the twin golden curved swords head-on.

In that instant, a surge of terrifying magical radiance flooded outward, illuminating half the forest like a second dawn.

"What Class are those two, anyway?" Waver muttered, huddled near the Conqueror King. His expression was a knot of disbelief and dread. "They're both using swords. Don't tell me there are three Sabers?"

The clash in front of them was enough to make even the other heroes feel a cold sweat creep up their backs.

One of them had arrived throwing Noble Phantasms like artillery shells, then charged in with two golden scimitars—hounding the other blond knight like a predator.

The other, even under a storm of Noble Phantasms and relentless dual-blade pressure, remained calm—reading every movement, parrying every strike, responding with perfect economy.

Neither had even released a Noble Phantasm in the true sense—yet just from their sheer performance, it was obvious:

These two were among the strongest presences in this war.

The other Servants all had pride, all had their own legends—yet if any of them were forced to fight either of these monsters head-on, none could claim they'd look even remotely as composed.

And so, without realizing it, the standoffing heroes turned into bloodthirsty spectators.

Their eyes locked on the duel.

No one wanted to blink.

Clang—clang—clang!

The ringing of metal continued to tear through the night. At close range, both fighters stared straight into each other's eyes—crimson, serpentine pupils against a cool, deep blue gaze.

As the fight reached its peak, both of them—almost unconsciously—let their mouths curve upward.

Then the knight in pale silver armor and the golden-armored king separated in a single smooth exchange, sliding apart and facing each other at a distance once more.

"Hmph. Not bad. Not bad at all," Gilgamesh said, standing atop a streetlamp and looking down at Arthur like a monarch passing judgment. "You're stronger than last time, Holy Sword wielder. Looks like this time you weren't dragged down by your Master—found yourself a far better mana supply."

His grin sharpened.

"Good. That's how it should be. Only a you like this deserves to be defeated by me, Holy Sword wielder."

"Holy Sword wielder…?" the others repeated silently.

That phrase hit like a hook.

The Servants who weren't fighting immediately committed it to memory, their minds spinning as they began to connect pieces—fast.

Pale silver armor. Golden hair. Peerless swordsmanship. A holy blade deliberately kept unseen…

At this point—

Wasn't the answer already obvious?
