Chapter 69 - Chpt 67: Descent of the Twin Sages

The violet pillar of light was more than a signal; it was a rupture. As the light licked the clouds, the Atmospheric Shroud didn't just vibrate—it began to contract, pulling inward toward the Estate like a massive, indigo lung.

Hiruzen Sarutobi stood paralyzed as the pressure that had pinned his ANBU suddenly vanished. But it wasn't a surrender. The air felt thin, ionized, and dead.

"Renju!" Hiruzen roared, slamming the Enma-staff into the ground. "If you do not stand down, I will be forced to treat you as a threat on the level of a Tailed Beast!"

"You always did think too small, Hiruzen," Renju's voice echoed from the mist, but it sounded deeper, layered with a tectonic resonance that vibrated the very marrow of those listening.

The indigo mist didn't dissipate; it was absorbed. In the center of the cratered courtyard, Renju and Renza stood side-by-side.

Renju triggered the Seventh Gate, but it didn't stop there. He drew upon the natural energy of the "Abyss"—the heavy, crushing density of the earth beneath the village. His skin turned a deep, bruised purple, and indigo markings flared like cracked glass across his face. This was Abyssal Sage Mode. The air around him turned into a liquid-like plasma, so heavy that the ANBU at the gates were forced to their knees by the mere passive presence of his aura.

Renza mirrored him, but his energy was a screaming emerald gale. He tapped into the Gale Sage Mode, his hair turning into a wreath of white-hot wind. He wasn't just standing; he was the eye of a hurricane that threatened to lift the entire North End into the stratosphere.

"You wanted to see the Hatake's 'Utility'?" Renza's voice was a whistling storm. "We'll show you why we don't need your village to survive."

The Leaf's elite forces lunged forward, a desperate surge of thousands.

Renju didn't move. He simply exhaled. "Sage Art: Deep Sea Burial." The atmospheric pressure didn't just rise; it solidified. A three-hundred-yard radius of the Leaf's vanguard was instantly flattened into the dirt. It wasn't an attack; it was a gravity well so absolute that fireballs flickered out and kunai snapped in mid-air.

Renza vanished. He didn't use the Body Flicker; he moved through the Vacuum Frequency. Thousands of emerald wind-blades erupted throughout the ranks of the Uchiha Military Police. It wasn't a massacre—it was a surgical dismantling. Armor was shredded, weapons were vaporized, and the ground itself was planed down as if by a giant's wood-plane.

Minato Namikaze tried to intervene, appearing mid-air with a Rasengan. Renju didn't even look up. He extended a finger, and a spike of Abyssal Lightning—black and jagged—shattered the Rasengan and sent the Yellow Flash tumbling back across the village rooftops.

While the Sages held the village at bay, Kakashi (8) and Shisui (5) acted as the conduits for the final ritual.

Using the imprinted secrets of the Scroll of Seals, Kakashi pushed the Voltage Gate to its absolute limit, turning his body into a living lightning rod. Shisui, standing in the "Eye," used his Sub-Abyssal Flow to synchronize the Estate's foundation with the spatial rift.

"The anchor is set!" Kakashi screamed, his silver hair glowing with a blinding white light.

The ground groaned—not the sound of a building falling, but the sound of a continent shifting. The entire Hatake Estate, from the stone foundations to the training halls, began to vibrate out of phase with reality.

"No!" Hiruzen shouted, lunging forward with Enma.

Renju and Renza combined their Sage energies one last time. "Sage Art: World-Ending Pressure."

A shockwave of indigo and green energy erupted, a dome of pure power that pushed the entire Leaf army back to the center of the village. The light was so bright it blinded the Hokage's sensory division.

When the light faded, the North End was a void.

There were no ruins. There was no fire. There was simply a perfectly smooth, glass-bottomed crater, three hundred yards wide and fifty feet deep. The Estate—and every soul within it—had been physically ripped from the Land of Fire's geography.

While the Sages held the village at bay, the Extraction was completed. With a sound like a thunderclap, the entire Hatake Estate—buildings, foundations, and inhabitants—slammed into the salt-crusted coast of the Land of Whirlpools.

The jagged indigo stones of the Estate now sat amidst the red-brick ruins of Uzugakure. The restless, swirling tides of the Whirlpool Sea roared in the background, a natural barrier that mirrored the chaotic energy of the Abyssal Reach.

Renju stepped off the porch, his markings receding. Renza stood beside him, his wind-aura still humming as he scanned the horizon of their new island fortress.

Saya emerged from the training hall, her dual blades sheathed but her eyes sharp. She had coordinated the sealing of the Estate's treasures during the jump. "The perimeter is stable, Master. The ruins of Uzu are absorbing our residual heat. We are invisible to the Leaf's current sensory network."

Kakashi and Shisui stood behind her. Kakashi's hair was still sparking with white static, and Shisui was holding the stolen Scroll of Seals with a steady grip.

"The Land of Grass was too close to the Leaf's breath," Renju announced, looking at the whirlpools. "Here, in the graveyard of a people the Leaf abandoned, we will build a true Sovereign. The air is thick with the ghosts of seals, and the sea provides the pressure we need."

Back in the Leaf, Obito (9) stood at the edge of the glass-bottomed crater where the North End used to be. The "Will of Fire" in his heart didn't just go out; it turned into a cold, black ash.

He turned toward the shadows where Danzō Shimura waited.

"They didn't even leave you a memory, Obito," Danzō whispered. "They think they are safe in the ruins of the Uzumaki."

Obito reached out and took the vial of Hashirama's essence. "Give it to me. I don't want to be a student anymore. I want to be the thing that hunts them down."
