Author’s Note

Hello.

Before you continue into the story, I just want to say thank you for taking the time to read this novel. Whether you've just started or you're already deep into the chapters, your presence here means more than you think.

This story unfolds slowly. Not everything will be explained immediately. Some answers will take time. Some questions will grow before they resolve.

Now, a few things to ground you in the world.

The World:

The story takes place on Xena.

Xena is not Earth. It is a world shaped by technological precision and long-term planning. Environmental engineering has stabilized harsh climates. Genetic refinement has reduced disease and strengthened human resilience. Systems are monitored. Infrastructure adapts. Progress is not accidental — it is structured.Stability is expected here.

That is why even small disturbances matter.

Recently, a meteor event was observed across multiple regions. Officially, it caused temporary electromagnetic irregularities. Nothing catastrophic. Nothing alarming.

At least, that is what the reports say.

The University:

Most of the story begins within an elite university. It is more than a school. It works closely with research divisions and regulatory panels. Classical stone structures stand beside adaptive alloy glass. Drones move silently overhead. Oversight is constant.

Most of campus is open.

Some spaces are not.

Characters (So Far):

Orion

Observant. Analytical. Often quieter than he appears. Something begins to shift in him after the meteor event.

Chloe

Warm, sharp, socially aware. She notices more than she lets on.

Katherine

Composed and disciplined. Closely tied to institutional responsibilities.

Sofia

Reserved. Present during the meteor shower. Speaks little, but rarely without weight.

Lee

Orion's close friend. Grounded and practical. A steady contrast to Orion's introspection.

Max

Moves carefully within the unspoken hierarchies of campus life.

Alexander

Orion's father. Structured. Controlled. A believer in discipline and resilience.

Madeleine

Orion's mother. Warm and intuitive. Connected to state health systems.

Orion's Sisters (Twins)

Close in bond and loyalty, though distinct in personality.

A Few Words on What to Expect

This is a story about change that begins quietly.

About control tested by transformation.

About systems built for stability facing something they did not design.

It will expand beyond personal moments.

It will widen, and it will escalate. But it will do so gradually.

Thank you again for reading.

Feel free to leave questions, thoughts, or theories. I may not respond to everything immediately, but I do see them

This world will continue to grow.
