Chapter 13 - chapter 12

snap!

A sound seemingly echoes across the world, through the solar system, and eventually dissipates upon reaching the end of it. However, the effect remains across the universe. The flow of time fell to an instant stop, leaving a single soul still moving. A man let go of a bag he had been holding, which remained in place.

The same man left his initial starting stance and began to walk around. As he did, a metallic red slowly enveloped his body, leaving only a blue flannel.

The man extended his arm, and a sword soon appeared, growing from the newly formed suit on his body. Gripping the handle of the blade, he extended his other hand, repeating the process.

With the two swords glowing from their plasmatic edges, he approached one of the armies located within sector 2.

There were only the armies and smaller ships left within the sector. The hero, referred to as mpt, dealt with the other ships within orbit. Leaving only the mothership and the ships scattered around, left for the remaining heroes and others to deal with.

The man, upon reaching the first foot soldier, who stood about twice his size, presided motionless in front of him, wearing two orange gauntlets.

A look of disgust crossed the man's face as he surveyed the abomination before him. Uncovered by the suit.

He had dark brown, unstyled hair and an incredibly forgettable face, devoid of any distinguishing features or marks. He was almost like a shell of a man, with no facial hair and a mature appearance, yet remarkably unremarkable.

This, however, was a significant advantage in his profession. Of course, this man was Deadly, the world's number one-ranked assassin.

He proceeded to swing the blade in his right hand, the motion fluid and natural, as if it were an extension of his own being. The plasma blade sliced through the creature's body with effortless grace, leaving a pristine, straight cut that betrayed no resistance from the armor. The edge of the blade seemed to melt through the metallic plating with ease.

He continued effortlessly guiding the blade's edge through the creature's army with no breaks and no interferences; the army's generals, the ships, and even the moon devourers remained motionless. The entire universe in fact stood still at the will of a deadly snap.

Reaching the end of a seemingly endless number of soldiers, deadly began to wonder.

Why am I doing this tedious task? For what reason, because that man asked me if I could help? Do I even know him? Will he pay me? Do I need a true reason to help?

These thoughts came and went through Deadly's mind as he had no answer to any of them. Reaching the end of the army with a final swing of the left hand, the blade cut through the creature's skull.

With this, both of the blades disappeared into the suit once more, and the helmet followed in short order.

Soon after Deadly began the walk back to the place, he began a long trip across the sector as the task started in the middle, and it led him to the edges of the sector.

After around 4 miles of walking, Deadly began to get fed up with the motion and took two prolonged steps with each foot, and as he did, both of the boots he wore slightly transferred to a blackened state.

Stopping for a mere moment, he slightly leaped from his position and then landed around 3 inches from the ground, slightly hovering. he formed two of the launchers from before and shot them into the ground as they firmly planted. He pulled rather hard and launched forward, retracting them into his suit as he reached the apex.

He began to glide seamlessly through the small forest he found himself in, swiftly leading into the field just beyond it.

After a while of paused time passed, he eventually reached the place where he began the task.

As he aproached he switched back to walking, and the red suit seemed to disappear back into the body of the deadly at seemingly random points.

He approached the bag he had been carrying and grabbed back onto his before.

Snap!

The same sound echoed again, yet this time the effect had been reversed.

As soon as the sound reverberated off Deadly's palm, the creatures' bodies began to shift and fall apart. Every single cut Deadly made, activated instantly; there was no delay within the creatures, dropping the intestines of countless creatures to the floor below them, as well as portions of their heads and internals. The massive army within Sector 2 was no more.

Of course, however, Hacker would never have seen this.

...

Miss Light burned the remaining flesh off the weapon she held within her hand.

As she stood under one of the remaining ships within sector 5, she reached her right arm up, and a ball soon formed within the open palm, and it soon shot up and through the ship's hull.

"damn bastards"

She said through clenched teeth as she looked over at the piles of corpses, both human and ethenlas. However, her eyes focused on one in particular, a young girl not even 5, lying at the bottom of the pile, dead.

The god's eyes were filled with an unabashed rage, yet she wasn't able to do anything she hadn't already done. She'd killed everyone of the creatures, yet they would not stop coming to this sector.

She had no options left; she had to destroy the items they were searching for, or more would die.

At this point, 3.3 billion had already been wiped off the planet, leaving about 20 billion.
