"What ?" he exclaimed
"I said I am not Alya but Aria. We were twins, and Alya was the one you were supposed to marry, not me," she explained.
His hold on her pinned hands loosened as he sat back.
"Is this some type of joke for I really don't...."
"No, it's not ", she moved back, taking out her lens.
He frowned seeing the colour of her eyes.
"We were twins, but the colour of our eyes differed. She had blue while I had green " she said.
Kallias got off the bed, "Then where is Alya ?"
"Dead, didn't you hear me early saying it " she bit her lip in anger.
"But that's impossible, she was ...how did she die?" he asked.
"Dont pretend I know you know how she died, you killed her after all ", she pointed out.
Kallias furrowed his eyebrows.
"Why do you keep insisting I did ?".
"Because you're the only person she saw that evening before she collapsed from poisoning ", she said.
"Me...but she was fine when we did, and I would never poison her ", he assured.
Aria scoffed wiping her tears.
"Everything points to you, and why would she send me a text with your name a few days before her death ?"
"How should I know that ....I can assure you I would never want or try to kill your sister. She was more useful to me alive than dead, so I would never do that to her," he said.
"Then if not you, then who killed her? " Aria yelled.
"I don't know, but I can assure you it wasn't me," said Kallias. He moved closer, taking the scissors from her, "Your sister was a celebrity with a lot of enemies, and if you contacted the police, you could have gotten help ".
Aria fell silent. He didn't seem to be lying, and what he said was also true. Maybe one of her fans had done it or she had met with someone after seeing him. But the authorities had claimed not to have found anything.
Her anger and false thinking had led her to make rash decisions; now, here she was, consumed with anger and confused about what to do.
"What am I going to do now ....I promised her I would do something, but here I am doing nothing but more mistakes just like in th past".
Kallias sat back on the bed sighing.
"How come I didn't find out she was dead ?" he asked.
"Because we asked her friends and the police not to make it public. Even her agency hasn't made it public yet " she wiped her falling tears.
He breathed.
"So since you thought it was me you decided to take her place to get close and kill me ?" he asked.
"Mmm, it was the only way " she said.
"Now that you have failed to kill me, do you realise that we are now married and will have to live as your sister in the public eye ?" He let out.
"What ?!" she looked back.
He looked back at her. "What I mean is that since you replaced your sister for the next three years you will be my wife "
"Huh?!" She stuttered.
