"Is that a nail mark, Amanda?" Kyle asked with a frown, pointing beneath her collar.
She quickly covered it and said, "Got a scratch this morning. Don't worry, it's nothing."
Kyle frowned. The heaviness in his chest only grew.
Back then, he believed she was cheating on him, having an affair with Ethan. That was why she had become so secretive about almost everything.
When she didn't respond to his messages late at night. When she came to classes late. When she tried covering her body and refused to get intimate, he thought she was distancing herself from him.
He was wrong. So, so wrong.
