Julius's eyes widened, and his heart began beating like a drum in the middle of a battlefield. His face slowly turned pale as he stared at Destiny, unable to believe what he had just heard.
"Y-you knew?" he stuttered, rising to his feet as his legs trembled beneath him.
Fear, shock, and a faint hint of despair appeared in his eyes as he instinctively took a step backward.
His mind was scrambling to make sense of what had happened. How could this be possible? He was inside a vision of the past, a scene that had already happened countless years ago.
As far as Julius understood it, his consciousness was merely observing an event that had already occurred, much like watching an illusion created from the past.
So how could Destiny perceive him? How could she actually look through the vision and recognize his existence when he wasn't even supposed to be part of this moment?
