The odd pair stood before the entrance of the village, which was known as Rock Wood Village.
It was a small settlement belonging to the Sapphire Kingdom, one of the few surviving kingdoms that had managed to avoid being caught in the devastating battle between Ian and the gods.
Fortunately, the conflict had taken place far from this region, and although the distant lands had suffered greatly from the aftermath, Rock Wood Village had remained relatively untouched.
The village itself was not particularly large, containing only around a hundred families, most of whom had lived there for generations.
Fields stretched around the settlement, their green crops swaying gently in the breeze, while several fenced areas were occupied by livestock.
Compared to the countless worlds Ian had visited and the magnificent cities he had once ruled through fear, the place was almost laughably insignificant.
Destiny and Ian had also made considerable preparations before entering the village.
