"Hey, you should have taught me this language!"
"But you said there was no need. You told me you would pretend to be mute, remember? How was I supposed to know you would suddenly change your mind?"
"Enough! I know I said that, but didn't you also say you would do anything for me? Then why the fuck didn't you teach me? And how do you even know this language so well?"
The man looked at her for a moment before answering.
"I learned it at the academy. Remember when I told you about those spies in the academy? I spent months pretending to be one of them. That's when I learned the language."
The woman stared at him. Then she groaned and covered her face.
"Ahhh! I should have learned it before."
The pair continued arguing as they walked through the village.
Everyone else simply watched.
No one understood a word they were saying, but that hardly mattered. The woman's annoyed expression and the man's increasingly helpless responses painted a fairly clear picture.
