Hailey looked through her stuff as tears rolled down her blue eyes.
"Don't I deserve to be happy at least?" She muttered.
"Dear?" An old lady patted her back and she turned to meet Mrs Bennette.
An old lady living in the apartment building, Hailey cleaned her tears and smiled at the woman.
"How are you ma'am?" Hailey asked and the woman sighed.
"I'm all good but you don't look okay, you can stay in my place till you get the money for rent" Mrs Bennette said and Hailey felt her tears building up again.
"Thank you so much ma'am, I promise to move out as soon as I get the money" Hailey said hurriedly.
"You don't have to worry, you're a sweet girl and I see how hard you've been working, this is the least I can do to help" the old lady said as she led Hailey into her apartment.
Hailey offered to sleep on the couch since there was only one bedroom in the house.
Mrs Bennette lived here with her husband not till he died 2 years ago, they had no children so no one was around to take care of her and Hailey has been trying her best to help the old woman anytime she can.
It seems her good deed paid off cause she had nowhere to go.

Hailey dressed up so early to go for the event, she was so excited, when she gets paid for this she would be able to leave Mrs Bennette's house, the old woman has been kind and generous enough to her and now it's time for her to leave, she didn't want to over stay her welcome.
She walked slowly into the bedroom to find the woman sleeping and she sighed, she wrote a note for the lady and left the house.

Hailey walked into the place and her eyes admired the well decorated and furnished building.
"Wow this is amazing" she muttered.
"Miss Clarke" she heard her name and she snapped towards where the voice came from, it came from a man standing in front of other workers and Hailey assumed he was the head planner.
Hailey walked hurriedly towards the man with an awkward smile.
"We need to be ready before the main even later, so everyone go change into your uniforms" he said and they all nodded.
Hailey thought the hall was beautiful earlier in the morning but right now the hall looks breathtaking, it was already quite dark outside but inside the hall was lit with different lights.
Hailey and the other workers held trays of wine in their hands as they walked around the hall serving people in need.
Hailey's legs were killing her, the heels they were asked to wear were high and it hurt her ankle, she's pretty sure it left a mark there.
Hailey served a guest who asked for wine and as she turned she collided with someone and the tray of wine fell spilling on the man's suit.
The noise from the glass crashing to the floor stole everyone's attention.
"Fuck" Hailey muttered, she was in deep trouble, the suit looks very expensive, her entire life line won't be able to pay for this suit.
"I.. I'm so sorry" Hailey managed out as she raised her head to meet the man's gaze on her.
He was handsome, is anyone allowed to be this handsome? How can a man look like this, his blonde hair styled amazingly and his ocean blue eyes can make anyone drown.
"You ruined my suit" his deep voice came and Hailey held her breath.
Even his voice is sexy.
"Mr. Anthony" A lady said walking up to them with a small smile on her face, she glared at Hailey hard before turning to the man whose gaze was still on Hailey.
"I'm so sorry for this, I would make sure she is punished for her deeds" the woman said hurriedly.
Everyone's attention was on them, even the music stopped playing and Hailey felt like the ground should open up and swallow her, how did she make such a terrible mistake, she has never made this type of mistake before, she was always good at her job.
Was it the aching heel or was it the ridiculously short skirt they were asked to wear?
Hailey bit her lips hard, hoping for something to happen, she definitely won't get paid after this.
"Apologize to Mr. Anthony" the woman yelled and Hailey apologized again not daring to look up, she was already screwed as it is.
"Her apology won't change the fact that she ruined my suit" the man's voice came and Hailey drew shaking breaths.
She won't get paid and on top of that she would acquire debts, she just finished paying off her parents debts she can live her entire life paying debts.
"I would make sure something is done about that, where is the head planner, take this bitch out of here" the woman yelled and the head planner hurried towards them.
He led Hailey out of the hall as the music resumed and the activities continued.

"You just couldn't wait till after the event to cause trouble, how could you spill wine on Hardin Anthony of all the people in the party" the head planner yelled at Hailey who was quiet as she listened.
It has always been like that ever since she was little, people would yell at her for one reason or the other and she would stay quiet and listen even when she wasn't the one in the wrong.
But this time, it was totally her fault, she had no idea what she was thinking, how did she make such a useless mistake.
"If Hardin decides to see this through till the end, it would be over for you and not just you, our company in total" the man yelled.
The door opened and Hardin entered with a man behind him which Hailey assumed was his assistant.
"Come with me" Hardin said and Hailey blinked, was he talking to her?
"Good evening Mr. Anthony" the head planner said, his voice sounding nervous.
"You'll still have to pay for the damage suit" Hardin said icily, completely ignoring the head planner and Hailey swallowing.
