Chapter 102 - I'm taking Bucky's body. Not even Jesus can stop me!

Seeing Captain Steve refuse to hand over Bucky's body, Tony had already had Jarvis investigate everything. He knew that Steve and the Winter Soldier were close friends.

His admiration for Captain America had vanished completely. In his eyes, Steve was no longer a hero.

Tony believed that Steve likely knew the truth but had chosen to protect Bucky.

This filled him with fury and disappointment. He couldn't accept this reality.

The heroic image of Captain America in his mind crumbled, replaced by that of a selfish man protecting his friend.

Though furious, Tony knew that Steve didn't have the authority to make decisions for S.H.I.E.L.D. He had no intention of wasting words on him.

All he wanted now was to find Nick Fury and demand the Winter Soldier's body.

Tony wanted to take the body to his parents' graves, to bring them peace in the afterlife.

He knew it wouldn't change anything, but it was the only thing he could do now, the only way to feel even slightly better.

With this thought, he activated his armor and prepared to fly upward. He had no intention of waiting for the elevator; he wanted to get this done as quickly as possible.

Even though he knew this would be seen as a provocation by S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony didn't care.

Today, he was taking Bucky's body, no matter what. Not even Jesus could stop him!

He would take this body to his parents' graves and show them that their son, Tony Stark, had avenged them!

Steve was also puzzled. He had been preparing to go to Hell's Kitchen to find Kingpin and avenge his friend Bucky.

But the moment he emerged, he saw Tony, his face burning with fury, demanding that he hand over Bucky's body.

In his earlier rage, Steve hadn't even considered the matter of properly burying Bucky.

But hearing Tony's roar, Steve finally came to his senses.

Yet Steve couldn't understand why Tony was so furious, or why he insisted on taking Bucky's body.

Looking at Tony's stance, it wasn't as if he intended to bury Bucky's body.

Steve couldn't fathom why Tony would have any connection to Bucky. What was this feud? Did Bucky kill Tony's entire family?

No, that couldn't be right. Steve knew Bucky; he wasn't that kind of person.

Yet the Tony before him now felt like a stranger.

His eyes burned with fury and resolve, as if he wanted to devour Steve whole.

Steve couldn't understand what had turned Tony into this.

But as Bucky's closest friend, Steve wouldn't allow anyone to take Bucky's body.

He couldn't let Tony take Bucky's body, no matter Tony's intentions.

Only he would bury Bucky's body!

So, when Tony prepared to leave, Steve threw his shield without hesitation.

He hoped this would stop Tony, or at least buy him time to think and find a solution to this situation.

Steve's shield cut a graceful arc through the air, flying straight toward Tony.

Tony was caught off guard, and the shield struck his chest with a solid impact, sending him crashing to the ground. Tony hadn't expected to be taken down; he'd already stopped paying attention to Captain America.

He hadn't expected Captain America to still be stubbornly blocking him.

"Are you sure you want to stop me?" Tony asked, his eyes gleaming with icy intensity, his voice low and dangerous.

Steve retrieved his shield and declared firmly, "Yes. Leave now, and I'll pretend this never happened. But if you insist on taking Bucky's body, you'll have to step over my corpse."

Hearing this, Tony let out a laugh that was more derisive than amused.

Tony had initially just wanted to retrieve Bucky's body and had no real intention of confronting the Avengers. But since Captain America was proving so stubborn, he decided to drop all restraint.

"Fine, I'll send you to hell to join your dear friend Bucky," Tony sneered, his voice cold.

He swiftly changed his armor and unleashed a barrage of fire at Steve.

The battle between them escalated rapidly, their clashes echoing through the quiet S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and quickly drawing the attention of agents.

"WTF, Iron Man's fighting at the entrance!" a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent exclaimed in surprise.

He had been organizing files when he stumbled upon this shocking battle.

"The guy he's fighting looks so familiar... kind of like Captain America," another agent said, his eyes widening as he tried to get a better look at the other figure in the fight.

Only a handful of agents knew that Captain America had been revived from his icy slumber, so most didn't recognize him.

"Holy shit, that actually looks like him! We need to tell Director Fury immediately!" a sharp-eyed agent shouted, spotting the star on Steve's chest and instantly identifying him.

He turned and bolted, rushing to find Nick Fury to report the situation.

"Should we help?" one of the agents watching the spectacle asked.

Though a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, he felt overwhelmed by the scale of the battle.

"Help? What a joke. Iron Man vs. Captain America—which of them do you think you could actually beat?" another agent retorted immediately.

They all knew such a fight was beyond their capabilities.

"True. If the sky falls, Director Fury will catch it. We might as well just sit back and enjoy the show," one agent shrugged, choosing to stay out of it.

He figured it was best to keep his distance and avoid trouble.

"So, who do you think would win—Captain America or Iron Man?" another agent asked curiously.

It was a question many in the room wanted to know.

"I'm definitely rooting for Captain America. He's been my childhood idol," a young agent declared without hesitation, siding with Captain America.

"I think Iron Man will win," another agent countered. "Captain America is getting old and still using that battered shield. This is the era of firearms now."

He believed Iron Man's technological prowess and combat capabilities far surpassed Captain America's, making him the more likely victor.

"Enough bickering!" an older agent interjected loudly. "Just watch quietly. It won't be long before Director Fury comes down and stops this fight."

In his office, where he was investigating whether Bucky's death was part of a conspiracy, Nick Fury overheard the agents' report.

*What?!*

*Steve and Tony are fighting?!*

*How is this possible? Why would they fight? Could Tony have discovered something?*

With a furrowed brow and a heavy expression, Fury strode toward the elevator.
