The Smart Student and the Hard Exam
Step 1: The Situation
Four college students were partying late into the night and didn't study for their chemistry test scheduled for the next morning.
Step 2: The Plan
The next morning, they came up with a plan. They made themselves look dirty with grease and dirt. Then they went to the professor and said:
"Sir, we went to a wedding last night. On our way back, our car's tire burst and we had to push the car all the way. We are too tired to give the exam."
Step 3: The Professor's Kindness
The professor thought for a minute and said, "Okay, you can take the re-test after three days." The students were very happy and studied hard for those three days.
Step 4: The Twist
On the day of the exam, the professor put them in four separate rooms. The exam paper had only two questions:
Your Name? (2 points)
Which tire burst? (98 points)
(a) Front Left
(b) Front Right
(c) Back Left
(d) Back Right
