Chapter 59 - Teacher Han's Class is Starting

Evening arrived in a flash.

After a sumptuous dinner, Charles, Erik, and the others began their recovery training.

"That's enough for now. Let's go to the bunker. I'll guide you on how to use and develop your Mutant abilities."

Han Shaoqing's words fell, and Raven and the others, dragging their still-sore and tired bodies, followed him into the bunker.

This place was originally bought and remodeled by Charles's father to avoid a nuclear war. It was spacious, had defensive fortifications in place, and stored plenty of food.

Unfortunately, Charles's father had passed away a few years ago, so he no longer had a use for this bunker.

The spacious room was brightly lit. Ten cushions were placed on the flat ground, which resembled a training ground.

Han Shaoqing and Artoria sat above.

Across from them, Charles and Erik were in two rows, with Sean, Raven, Salvatore, Alex, Darwin, and Hank seated beside them.

"To use superpowers, you first need to understand your own superpowers."

Han Shaoqing sat solemnly on the cushion and began his performance.

"For example, Raven, what is your superpower? Do you truly understand it?"

Hearing Han Shaoqing's words, Raven immediately replied, "My ability is Shapeshifting, what's the problem?"

Han Shaoqing shook his head slightly, "Wrong. Your ability is very powerful, in some ways, it can even be said to be one of the strongest abilities among Mutants."

Sean muttered, "Really?"

The group had been together for a while, and they had a decent understanding of each other. It seemed Raven's ability, aside from shapeshifting to look like others and confusing people, wasn't particularly special.

Han Shaoqing looked at Raven and said slowly, "I've observed you. Your ability isn't just imitation, but rather mimicking shapeshifting."

"Sounds like there's not much difference?" Alex, being a bit of a simpleton, didn't catch the nuance.

What Raven heard was, "I've observed you…", and a multitude of thoughts immediately arose in her mind.

Han Shaoqing continued, "Imitation and mimicking are completely different, worlds apart even. Imitation is superficial at best, while mimicking is different; it can go deep within."

"Or, when Mystique mimics a normal person, there's no apparent difference."

"But what if she could mimic a Mutant's special genes?"

Charles, as expected of a professor, was the first to react, and said in surprise, "You mean, if Raven could mimic a Mutant's genes, she could use other Mutants' superpowers?"

"Not bad, but simulating the genes of other Mutants requires a lot of time to explore and experiment."

Han Shaoqing said to Raven, "I don't have the ability to simulate, nor do I have any experience in this area. I can only offer you suggestions and directions. What you need to do is to constantly simulate, starting from the details."

After speaking, Han Shaoqing looked at Erik, who was a few years older than him: "As for Erik, the name Magneto is indeed very fitting. What you control is Magnetism, a powerful force that can control metal through Electromagnetic Field, making metal your weapon."

"However, your perspective isn't broad enough. Earth, and even the entire universe, is a giant magnetic field. Your power is beyond your imagination. What you need to do is to feel the magnetic field of the earth and integrate yourself into it. When you control the earth's magnetic field, you will discover that you can lift the entire Earth."

"In addition, you can also place metal in your shoes and belt to give yourself the ability to fly."

"You can also try developing in the direction of Electromagnetic Field and develop new abilities."

Han Shaoqing, who cultivated the Yijin Jing, also had some involvement in the ability to control magnetic fields. In fact, the best way to make Erik stronger was to teach Erik the Yijin Jing.

But Erik's personality was quite extreme, and he often caused trouble, so Han Shaoqing held back a move.

First, observe the situation. If Han Shaoqing could fully bring Erik into his camp, he could teach Erik the Yijin Jing.

After guiding Erik, Han Shaoqing turned to Charles: "Your Telepathy ability is different from mine, but there are similarities. My suggestion is to train your Mental Power."

"If you have the opportunity, you can go to the Himalayas, or the New York Sanctum, and inquire about a place called Kamar-Taj."

"There is a group of mages there who control various kinds of magical powers. It should be very suitable for you."

Charles's Mental Power was considered the best in the world. Cultivating magic would be a natural advantage for him. As long as the Ancient One was willing to teach, Charles would definitely have the qualifications to become the Sorcerer Supreme.

When Charles went bald, he would almost be on par with the Ancient One.

Two bald powerhouses, who could compete with them?

"Mages? Magic? Looks like there are still many interesting things in this world."

Charles nodded thoughtfully, taking Han Shaoqing's words to heart.

Han Shaoqing turned his gaze towards Darwin.

"Your ability is Adaptation. You can protect yourself and evolve based on the environment. It's a very powerful ability. Anything that doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. What you need to do is constantly challenge your limits, but be mindful of the degree."

Charles, Erik, Darwin, and Raven all had the potential to become Omega (Level 5) Mutants. They were the key observation targets for Han Shaoqing, and also his Check-in targets.

He wasn't acting yet, not because there wasn't an opportunity, but because Charles and the others weren't strong enough.

After many Check-ins, Han Shaoqing had a certain understanding of the Check-in system. The strength of the Check-in target was directly related to the rewards received.

The stronger the Check-in target, the more generous the rewards.

Han Shaoqing naturally wanted to play the long game.

Next up was Alex.

"You have powerful abilities within you, but you can't control them. What you need to do is master your power. Don't resist it. We'll train when we have time. Just release your energy. You'll only improve through practice."

Han Shaoqing was quite concerned about Alex. Although Alex only had the potential to become an Alpha-level (Tier 4) Mutant, he came from a family of three talents.

His two younger brothers, Cyclops "Scott Summers" and Vulcan "Gabriel Summers," were both very powerful Mutants.

Especially Gabriel Summers, who had the potential to be a super-Omega-level Mutant, making him worth cultivating.

As for Hank, he hadn't turned into a Beast yet. Han Shaoqing's advice was to focus on technology and be a support staff member.

Hank's combat ability was average. Even if he developed further, he would only become a blue-furred Beast. In comparison, Hank's talent for research and invention was where his true strength lay.

Sean and Salvatore weren't that strong. Becoming Beta-level would probably be their limit in this lifetime.

If he obtained other abilities, or opportunities, that would be another matter.
