Chapter 6 - The End of Safety

Shadi left his house heading to the market to buy some necessities, murmuring to himself with satisfaction filling his heart: "I received a good amount from my workplace; there's no harm in enjoying a little today… I'll cook a feast worthy of me. I'll buy many things; I'm really hungry."

At that moment, Neil was watching from a distance, whispering to himself: "He's left the house, I'll follow him to see where he goes." Neil walked behind him cautiously, tracking Shadi's steps that led him to a narrow alley where he stopped in front of a shop.

Shadi entered the store and began examining the goods, shocked when his eyes fell on the price list: "What?! Is this the price for just one chicken?! Damn… okay, I'll take half a chicken, a bag of pasta, and one fish… I also like beans, so I'll take these simple things."

He approached the cashier and asked: "Alright, sir, how much is the total?"

When he heard the number, Shadi slapped his face in astonishment: "My God! This price is extremely high, but I'll take it today only."

Shadi left the store carrying his bags, signs of regret mixed with satisfaction painted on his face: "Prices are scorching, but at least I got the essential items for my feast." A genuine smile appeared on his lips as he headed toward his home.

Neil watched the scene and said: "He's returning to his house now."

Suddenly, a strange car stopped, and a man named "Jaber" stepped out. Fear gripped Neil as he saw Jaber walking behind Shadi with deliberate and suspicious steps: "Who is this person walking behind Shadi? No… could he be the kidnapper?! No, no, what should I do? I can't see his face; his clothes are completely black." Neil's hand trembled as he pulled out his phone: "I must call Hidara immediately."

At Ria's house, the atmosphere was calm before the storm. Ria offered a glass of water to Rein and said, "Here you go, Rein."

Rein asked with concern: "How does it feel living alone, Ria?"

Ria replied with a lump in her throat: "It's painful, but I've started to get used to this pain."

Hidara was listening to them, whispering to himself: "I've been feeling something completely different…"

Suddenly, the phone rang urgently.

Hidara: "Hello, Neil, what's going on?"

Neil, his voice filled with panic: "What?! Okay, keep observing, we'll come immediately!"

Hidara turned to Rein with a serious expression: "Come on, Rein, it happened!"

Rein's hands trembled as she asked in shock: "What? Did it really happen?"

Hidara replied, preparing to leave: "Yes, it happened. Let's go quickly."

Ria asked anxiously: "Where to, Rein?"

Rein ran toward the stairs, replying: "We'll be back soon!"

As they ran, Rein spoke in a trembling voice: "I'm scared… what should we do now?"

Hidara reassured her firmly: "Don't be afraid, we'll do our utmost."

Meanwhile, Jaber was approaching his prey, thinking cunningly to himself: "So, this is the boy the leader told me about… alright, bare your fangs."

Neil's phone rang again, and it was Hidara calling: "Neil, what's happening? Tell me the details!"

Neil whispered nervously: "He's approaching Shadi's house, what should I do?" Then he drew his pistol and added, "Hidara, I'm aiming at him now; I'll kill him!"

Hidara shouted over the phone: "Wait! Wait! What are you doing, you fool? Maybe he's not the right person!"

Neil's hand shook violently, sweat pouring from his forehead: "But what should I do? Should I shoot?"

Hidara: "Don't shoot! Do something else, don't rush."

Neil: "Okay… I'll get closer to him."

As for Jaber, he was preparing his tools coldly: "I must hurry; I don't want the victim to die without purpose… this time I'll use the sedative." A terrifying smile spread across his face.

Neil took advantage of Jaber's distraction and sneaked toward his car: "Okay, I'll place the tracking device on his car… where should I put it? Here? Yes, this spot is suitable." Neil fixed the device while glancing around frantically: "I must hurry… where did the man go? My God!"

Inside the house, Shadi was busy arranging his belongings when he suddenly heard a sound behind him.

Jaber, in a cold tone with a terrifying look: "Good morning."

Shadi flinched, whispering: "Who is this? And what is he doing in my house? How long has he been here?"

Shadi tried to turn and see behind him, but Jaber was faster; he pressed a wet cloth laced with sedative over Shadi's mouth.

Jaber said mockingly: "Sleep a little, trash."

Outside, Neil searched frantically: "Where did the man go? What's happening inside?"

Jaber looked at Shadi's lifeless body: "Should I carry him or drag him? Damn this boredom, I'll drag him."

Jaber left the house dragging Shadi; he noticed Neil's movement and retreated quickly: "He appeared! I must hide."

At that critical moment, Neil's phone rang again. Wiping the sweat from his face, he said tensely: "Not now, Hidara, this is not the right time!"

Neil got distracted by the phone for a few seconds while Jaber opened the car door, placed Shadi in the back seat, and sped off.

Hidara: "Neil! What's happening? Speak!"

Neil lifted his eyes to stare at the departing car, shocked to see Shadi unconscious inside. His heart trembled, and he shouted: "No… it can't be!"

In a flash, Neil ran to his motorcycle and started it, his eyes chasing the car with a mix of anger and fear.

Hidara: "Answer, you fool! What happened?"

Neil (shouting): "Hidara… Shadi has been kidnapped! That man kidnapped him!"

Hidara (in shock): "What are you saying?!"

Neil: "I don't know how it happened so fast, but it did! Luckily, I placed a tracking device in his car; I'm chasing him now… we'll meet at the main road, and I'll send you the location and coordinates immediately."

Rein: "What's going on, Hidara?"

Hidara: "Our prediction hit the mark… Shadi was kidnapped by the man Neil was watching."

Rein (in shock): "What do we do now? I knew things would reach this point!"

Hidara: "His hands are shaking… we'll go take him down."

Neil: ".. I wish I had killed him at that time! No, regret won't help now, I must act."

On the main road, Hidara met Neil.

Hidara (raising his hand toward Neil): "Hurry! Send me the location of the tracking device; we'll catch this man before he escapes again!"

Neil (determined): "Yes… I won't let him escape this time!"
