Chapter 138 - New home

I opened my eyes to the extremely bright sunlight streaming through the window. I looked down next to me to the naked but cleaned up true dragon next to me.

I had lost control of myself and let my innate malice loose onto her. For the first time in almost a century, my mind was completely clear.

"Morning there." Velzard said while laying down, she looked refreshed and slightly smug.

I looked behind me to Velzard's sincere face and got back under the covers with her. I looked outside and saw… snow falling. Not the raging blizzard that usually covers the continent but a gentle snowfall.

Velzard looked up to me being perched up on my elbow. She could see in his gaze clarity, but also veiled concern.

"Is there something wrong?" Velzard asked me sensing the change in my emotions.

"I'm… sorry."

Velzard sat up and cupped my face, "Sorry for what, why are you suddenly apologizing for no reason."

"Well I… fine, I guess I should tell you." I explained to Velzard Egoblight, "I'm sorry for using you as an outlet for my anger."

"Simon, I'm not angry. I'm very glad that I can be of use to you." Velzard saw that I was about looked like I was about to cry and tried to comfort me.

"It was still wrong for me to do it-"

"Simon, I said it was fine. If you want to do something to say sorry then you can do something else for me alongside introducing me to your mother."

I was now getting a bad premonition, "And what would that be?"

" I want IT back, I want IT all back." Velzard's slightly sultry voice was filled with demand.

Hearing her demand, I knew what she wanted and decided to give it back to her. Without warning, I kissed her back into the sheets and the intimate contact caused another invasion.

Suddenly Velzard remembered everything, every moment that we ever spent together. The reason behind why I ever erased these memories in the first place.

These moments that was so small and menial to some were moments the Velzard cherished with her entire existence. It was proof of a weakness that she was glad to have.

I parted our kiss and saw her glistening lips radiant off her smile, " Thank you."

" Get dressed we'll be leaving soon."

" You really waited for them to finish before interrupting their moment." Raine said while her and Guy were walking to my room.

"There's nothing wrong with that, would you prefer if I interrupted during?"

"Fair point."

They opened the door and saw it was empty.

Guy sighed, "Of course they're gone."

Misery appeared beside them, "Should I track them down Lord Guy?"

"No need, you can't."

"Do you not wish to anger either of them?" Misery was confused by Guy's passivism.

"No, I mean that you literally can't track Simon. Tracking Simon is an impossiblility. That man's presence is nowhere. Evens if you turned all of Andromeda's intelligence against him, he'd somehow just use it against you."

————————————————

" You know I thought we were going to see your mother, why are we in the Sarion dynasty… and still in the cardinal world?" Velzard was confused at our current destination.

" There's something that we need to do here, you'll see soon enough." I winked to her in a knowing smile.

She felt something afoot but decided to trust me on this one.

We walked through the place in silence when Velzard's curiosity had gotten too big, " Ok please, tell me where we're going."

" We are going to the Rosenthal Duchy. It's not exactly part of the the dynasty's history, it's quite a recent one with the duchess being a extremely powerful warrior and one of the top researchers in the dynasty."

At this point we reached the estate and the massive doors opened, "Greetings your majesty!" An entourage of maids were lined up to greet us with indifference.

As we were walking in, Velzard asked me about the reason behind the extremely welcoming behaviour.

"Duchess Rosenthal is the biggest sponsor of Andromeda in the Sarion dynasty. Beneath the estate is a covert Andromeda base that only the ruler of the nation Elmesia knows about. Everyone working here are actually Andromeda employees." I explained to Velzard as we walked past the maids and butlers.

————————————————

" Miss Rosenthal will be with you in a second lord Pneuma. Will that be ok?" A butler asked me respectfully.

"That's fine, we're not in a rush." After my reassurance, we sat down on the very comfortable couches.

Velzard took notice of the divine power that was in the estate. There were two divine humans within the estate.

The first was a human who had fused with a elemental of light and went through the process of becoming a true hero and the other was also a human who had completed the sublimation of sainthood and gained divinity through being a complete saint.

" You're wondering who they are, the divine humans?" I asked which made Velzard nod, " The one who merged with an elemental is the duchess herself, Evelyn Rosenthal and the other is her bodyguard, most trusted attendant and adopted son Isaac Rosenthal."

Then suddenly as I was explaining the divine beings in the estate had stepped through the door and immediately, the blonde haired, crimson eyed duchess had become enamoured with my appearance and honoured that I had appeared at all.

But I could tell that a lot of her praise was a little exaggerated. Alot of what she's saying was genuine but she purposely exaggerated it to make her look like a huge fan meeting her idol.

She was trying to hide who she was. Unfortunately for her I've known who she is the whole time.

"Isaac, can you get our guest some tea?" Evelyn said to Isaac.

"No need to do so, why don't we just talk?" I said not intending to stand up.

"O…k what is it that you wanted from me?" Evelyn was a bit on the panicked side.

"Why are you suddenly panicking about this? All I suggested was a friendly chat." I said to the duchess who had visibly relaxed.

But she didn't relax because of my reassurance but because she had realized that I knew, "Ok… just tell me, when did you find out?"

"Is it really finding out if I knew from the start?" I said smugly to Evelyn.

Evelyn sighed but then showed a rather endearing smile as opposed to the one filled with fanaticism for an idol, "It's good to see you're doing so well Simon."

"It's good to see you too Mom." I turned my head to the bodyguard Isaac who has been nervously fidgeting with his fingers the whole time, "And it's good to see you too Jason."

"Goddamn it. You know what, it's good to see you too asshole." Isaac dropped all forms of formalities and addressed me as he did in our previous lives.
