Chapter 128 - Unorthodox fate

We had all gathered in a clearing in the forest and Rimuru looked at me with an accusatory look, "So? Where is Phobio's body… or did you destroy it like you said you wouldn't?"

Tendrils of fog came out of me and converged into one point. The converged point enlarged into a bulb and then opened up like a flower blossoming.

The opened fog blossom had the unconscious Phobio corrupted with the Charybdis core.

I put my hand on his chest and flushed out the curse in an instant. The core came right off and as I palmed it, it tried corrupting me but it failed.

"Here you go." I said as I threw the core to Rimuru.

"What the hell! What must I do with it!?" Rimuru shouted at me for giving him the still-living heart of a corrupting sky whale.

"What you do mean dumbass, Devour, isolate and analyse. Jeez you're a lost cause. Hey, Great sage, if you can hear me then promise me you'll take care of this hopeless idiot."

{No problem Simon… I don't know if you can hear me but I'm already on it}

"I can hear you and you're doing a good job so far so don't stop." I said as I gave a thumbs up to Rimuru.

"I'm sorry, please forgive me!" Before Rimuru could complain about his god scheming with the voice in his head, Phobio woke up and profusely apologized.

"Ah don't worry about it, you can go now." Rimuru dismissed Phobio despite his actions.

The entire kerfuffle was a constant back and forth between everyone until Carrion's presence was announced by Milim.

Carrion: "So you've known I was here the whole time Milim?"

Simon: " Well you weren't exactly subtle on your presence. Your figure kinda screams exaggerated majesty."

" Haha I guess there's no hiding from the God of fate itself." Carrion laughed and then approached Phobio's kneeling form… and then smashed his head into the ground.

" By the way, thank you for forgiving my surbordinate Simon, I would be an idiot to anger Eden." Carrion said which caught the attention of Dorf.

Dorf: " Eden? I've heard that name before, what is Eden?"

Carrion: "You've haven't told anyone here, well then allow me to enlighten them. Eden is the domain of chaos, the home of Pneuma."

Benimaru: "But I'd assume that a nation that belongs to a god would be quite massive, yet I've never seen it on any map. Why is that?"

Carrion: " Because it's not a nation, it's an entirely separate dimension that Simon constructed by hand, his own personal paradise."

Everyone was now silent, time and time again, the monsters had been surprised by the accomplishments of their god and yet they still haven't gotten used to it.

" Hey Milim, remember our deal?" I asked in what looked like an attempt to change the subject.

But Milim bought into it… slightly, " Terrible attempt to change the subject but fine. Now summon a bunch of Charybdis for me to fight."

I turned around and then began manifesting the fog out of me, the fog began pouring out of me like and flood that began enveloping the sky and creating a spacetime storm that completely covered the forest of Jura.

The fog began sectioning off into different entities and then, it began.

In a second, the sky were filled with over a thousand Charybdis, thousands of demons lord seed level beings that were brought back from history.

They watched in horror as the sky was filled with thousands of beings that they had struggled against for hours had just been reborn and multiplied thousands of times. What truly made them frightened was the energy coming off of this army, each one individually had ten times the power of the original Charybdis.

Simon: "Will this be good enough for you Milim, I need to be somewhere at the moment."

Milim looked at me with confusion, "You're leaving, what is so important at the moment, you're like the most unbusy person I've ever met."

But then everyone saw as I tried to play off a smile yet my face was filled with apparent… fear and uneasiness, "I just have some stuff I need to think about at the moment."

I said as I walked through the fog and Milim went to completely have a gore fest with a bunch of Charybdis's.

I arrived back to Eden and walked slowly to my throne room in the clocktower. Since Charybdis had arrived, I might have seemed calm on the surface but her appearance had caused me a great deal of confusion.

I had arrived to my throne room and began laying in my throne… recliner?

I began making a new order, " Void archives, you there?"

{Admin, is there something you needed?}

"I need you to locate a specific spacetime for me. Use the grayfog to navigate worldlines and locate a specific time in that worlds history."

{Ok, when and where would you like for me to locate?}

"I would like you to locate…" I began making my request to V.A. which he then responded affirmatively and began his extrapolation.

My mind went back to studying the implications of what Charybdis's arrival meant. About fifty years ago, I had defeated Charybdis and returned a replica core that was an identical match.

But I forgot one thing about Charybdis, I remade the seal at its full strength. Charybdis should've taken a couple centuries to come back to life and yet it didn't.

It was as if fate had taken direct action to initiate its revival, no matter the cost.

I've had my suspicions for a hundred years about this but now I've confirmed it, something is preventing my influence and actions.

'Something is trying to reinitiate the original timeline… and erase the anomaly preventing it.' And with that thought, my mind began calculating what could be doing this, that was until…

{Admin? Are you ok?} The voice of Void Archives sounded worriedly.

"Hello, V.A. did you find it?" I turned my attention to the golden cube that had disrupted my train of thought.

{Yes, would you like me to give you the spatiotemporal coordinate?}

"Yes." With that, the coordinates appeared in my head and I began traveling backwards through the time stream on a specific world.
