Chapter 65 - Divine keys

"So you decided to remove those you love to save them from me." A malicious voice echoed from a dark space, "You ignorant fuck, no matter, this won't do anything. See you soon Simon."

————————————————

I had awoken a week later, the pain from severing the soul corridor still lingered although I felt worse because I had to subject Velzard to that pain. Nonetheless, I can't go back on what I did.

I sat up from my bed and realized that Amanises was laying directly on top of me and Nyx was next to me. My movement seemed to have stirred them awake, "Morning dad, you sleep well?" Amanises greeted me with concern.

"Yeah I'm fine." I got out of bed which caused the other two to get themselves up.

I spent a while fixing those two up. It was only until an hour later into this slow morning that I felt a vibration through the fog, 'It seems that Gehrman has something to say.'

————————————————

I teleported to the top of the clocktower to my hunter.

Gehrman came to me with injuries, "Milord, Did something happen while I was away?"

"I assume you're talking about the fog suddenly shrouding the world?" Gehrman nodded, "What you saw was a memory wipe of the world, I erased the name and face of Simon Winters. Now the world only knows Pneuma."

Gehrman was shocked but felt more impressed by his god and his faith increased a mountain fold.

"Actually now that you're here. Why don't we have a talk."

Gehrman was surprised by his lords suggestion but complied anyway, "What is it you needed from me?"

"Well I want to get another opinion, what would be a good way to up the prestige of Pneuma?"

" So Divine propaganda basically?"

"Yep!" I beamed at his understanding.

"Ok well, how about playing to your strengths?"

"Mhm! Elaborate?"

"Essentially, your biggest strength is creation magic. So why don't you create a series of weapons and spread them across the world as artifacts from god?"

Oh glorious child of Pneuma, you have truly served your lord well, "Thank you Gehrman. Oh, by the way, how are you doing."

"I'm doing fine my lord, I recently learnt how to use miracle level holy magic."

I just turned to him with an amazed expression, 'Dafuq you mean, you can already use disintergration!? I guess his faith in me must be unfathomable.'

————————————————

I guess it's time to begin creating the new series of weapons, creating the divine keys. Yes it's those divine keys you're probably thinking of.

I began processing the Hihi'irokane and for authenticity, I turned them into nanites to mimic soulium.

I'm gonna go in order for simplicity, which means I have to start with Void archives, the divine key of revelations.

I began creating a golden cube out of the soulium and creating a new artificial consciousness. Soon after the cube spoke, " Why… am… I."

Great, now that the consciousness has been established, time to give it it's functions. The original version could mimic the other divine keys but for tensura I had to make it more flexible. I had to include the ability to gleen archives because that was it's name so I coded in the ability to capture data from the past using Time traveler.

Now, instead of mimicking just the other divine keys, it can now mimic almost all weapons and magic, it can also mimic skills and synthesize them just like Yggdrasil.

With that I have now finished the first of the 12, I'm probably not gonna create blankness.

The key of infinity was fairly easy and would probably be the easiest, I've already created an incredible artifact that can has a higher power over space.

It didn't take too long to create this big bertha of a train.

Next was the Key of sanction and this one I deviated from the original a little, the original could take in many forms but I intended to only give it three forms, a scythe, a gun and bracelet for convenience, technically it's four because it can switch between sniper and shotgun.

I replicated the key of sanctions dematerilization ability by giving it a very specific substrate of Separation. Instead of dematerializing, it now separates instead making it more versatile, for instance you can separate the bond between human and spirits or disrupt someone's skills.

I obviously included the ability to dematerilise but they can also dematerilise themself to move far faster.

Next came the fucking satellite and I'm mad about this because I basically have to make something from scratch. I have to scrap the satellite design entirely.

I decided to create a a golden staff that can manipulate atmospheric pressure and airflow and I did this with Veldora's cells.

And thus the key of cleansing, the imperial firmament was created.

After this I decided to stop, not out of boredom but for a testing phase.

————————————————

"Did I catch you at a bad time?" I asked as I saw a Gehrman covered in blood.

"No, I had just come back with my hunting party."

"Hunting party? You have been doing quite a bit now my little follower."

"Yes, in fact my entire hunting party are followers of you."

"Well, I might just pay a visit some time. Anyways that's not the reason I called you. How about going on a suicide mission for me."

Gehrman visibly flinched but didn't back away, "ok then."

"Wait really, wow anyways you won't actually die, I simply want you to test out a weapon against a very strong opponent." I gave him a picture of a women with long azure hair curled into two buns wearing a dark coloured cheongsam with golden dragons on it.

"Is this my target, is she strong?"

"She's a true dragon."

My words caused Gehrman to go into slight histeria, he looked at the picture then at me and repeat for a couple times now, "Milord, might I have done something to displease you so much that you would want me to die?"

"Not at all, like I said, if you die, I'll just pull you out and you'll need this." I said as I gave him, some sort of tablet, "This is a beacon that will create a signal that only a true dragon will be able to hear. Use it close to the eastern empire and the Scorch dragon will approach hopefully alone.

" Got it."

"Now, this is what I want you to test out." I said as I gave him the key of sanction

————————————————

In the next moment, Gehrman found himself at the distance from the eastern empire that he was meant to be at and he activated the beacon.
