The moon was hidden behind dark clouds. Five figures in black tight suits melted into the shadows of the garden. These were the Shadow Guards. Elite assassins who could stop their own heartbeats to avoid detection.
"Target confirmed," the leader whispered into his comms. "Two humans, one dog. Sleeping."
"Proceed. Silent kill."
They moved towards the master bedroom window. Click. One of them stepped on something. Not a twig. A rubber chicken.
SQWAAAAAK! The sound pierced the silent night like a scream.
"Oops," a giggle came from the tree above them. Sun Mengjia was hanging upside down from a branch, her red hair flowing like a waterfall of blood. She was holding a bag of potato chips. "You found the chicken! You win... death!"
Flash. Before the assassins could react, five scalpels flew through the air. Thud. Thud. Thud. Three assassins fell, scalpels embedded in their throats.
"Ambush! Retreat!" The leader screamed.
BOOM! Suddenly, the garden wall exploded. A massive hand, the size of a car, smashed through the concrete. Subject Zero had arrived.
It was a monstrosity. Three meters tall, skin like gray rock, muscles bulging with glowing green veins. It roared, a sound that shattered all the windows in the villa. "ROAAAR!!"
"My wall!" Shen Ruobing (who had just woken up) screamed from the balcony. "That cost 200,000!"
"Put it on the Syndicate's tab," Chen Qing walked out onto the lawn, shirtless. He looked at the giant monster charging towards him. [System Analysis:] [Target: Subject Zero (Bio-Titan).] [Strength: A-Rank.] [Intelligence: None.]
"A-Rank?" Chen Qing cracked his neck. "Perfect. I need a punching bag to test my new Dragon Blood."
The Titan swung a fist the size of a boulder. Chen Qing didn't dodge. He punched back. [Dragon Strength: 100% Output.]
BANG! Fist met fist. A shockwave flattened the grass for fifty meters. The Titan's arm... twisted. Bone fractured. The massive monster was sent sliding back, plowing a trench in the garden.
"Is that all?" Chen Qing shook his hand. "A bit numb. But weak."
Subject Zero roared in pain and rage. Its chest opened up. A glowing red energy core began to charge. It was preparing a Biochemical Laser Beam. "Warning! High Energy Detected!"
"Oh no," Chen Qing frowned. "If he fires that, the villa is gone."
"Fluffles! Sic 'em!" Chen Qing shouted.
"Woof?" General Fluffles, who was busy peeing on a Shadow Guard's corpse, looked up. He saw the glowing red light. To him, it looked like a laser pointer. Playtime!
The Husky charged. He didn't bite. He opened his mouth. The blue energy from the Dragon Heart Crystal he ate earlier surged up his throat.

WOOF—ZAP!
A beam of pure blue plasma shot out of the dog's mouth. It collided with the Titan's red laser. Blue vs. Red.
The blue beam instantly swallowed the red one. It hit the Titan's chest.
KA-BOOM! The S-Rank Bio-Titan exploded into a million pieces of green slime. It rained slime over the entire neighborhood.
Silence returned to the garden. General Fluffles sat down, smoke coming out of his nose. He looked proud. He wagged his tail, waiting for a treat.
Chen Qing wiped a piece of green slime off his face. "Good boy," he sighed. "But you're taking a bath."
Shen Ruobing stared at the smoking crater where her garden used to be. "My roses..." she whispered. Then she looked at the man and the dog who just saved her life (again). "Fine. I'll pay for the wall. But you're cleaning up the slime."
