Chapter 15 - Isabel Walker

In the huge, beautiful chamber, Azael lay silently on the bed. A middle-aged man wearing a white robe checked his health. The man, who had brown hair, had his eyes closed in focus.

He sat on a chair close to the edge of the bed, his hand resting on Azael's chest. They were not the only ones in the chamber. Duchess Aeliana was also present.

She was wearing a flowing red gown that hugged her curvy, voluptuous body perfectly, showing off her figure. Her long blonde hair lay loose. Her cold red eyes were focused on Azael and the physician who had been treating him for a long time.

The man suddenly opened his eyes, his lips trembling.

What he had just seen, what he had just checked, was no normal thing.

The boy who had been suffering from a weak mana flow since birth was suddenly cured. There was no trace of the past illness anymore.

"This... this is not possible." The man's voice was filled with shock.

Aeliana narrowed her eyes. "What happened, Sir Eldrich? Is everything okay? Is his body showing worse symptoms?" Aeliana asked.

She had heard that Azael had suddenly started training like a madman, not caring about his body, though he was doing well.

At first, she didn't believe it until her eldest daughter herself told her.

So she immediately contacted the physician to check on Azael again.

Eldrich turned his face toward Aeliana. "My lady, it's not that case... rather, it's the opposite..." He paused for a while, controlling his heartbeat.

"He actually is well now. I mean... he doesn't have weak mana flow. He's perfectly fine like other humans. This is... this is a miracle... hahaha!" At the end, Eldrich started to laugh happily.

Aeliana, who heard this, was shocked. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. For years, her late husband had tried to find a cure for Azael, yet it was of no help. Even after he was gone, Aeliana continued to search for a cure. But nothing worked.

Now Eldrich was telling her that Azael was perfectly fine.

"Ar-are you sure? Did you check it right? Was there any mistake?" she asked. Her voice was eager, unlike her usual self.

Eldrich shook his head. "I checked it multiple times. And he is fine. I am sure of it... I don't know the reason. But it's no different from a miracle."

He turned toward Azael, who was lying calmly on the bed while observing the conversation between the Duchess and Eldrich.

"Boy... I don't know how... but you overcame your illness. It's not something that anyone can get. For now, rest and slowly get used to it," Eldrich said to Azael.

He nodded to Eldrich. "I will."

Eldrich got up from his seat and walked toward Aeliana.

"I will be taking my leave then, Duchess Aeliana. Since he's been cured... or has gotten better himself, my work is done here."

Aeliana remained silent for a while, then nodded.

"Yes. Thank you for everything you have done for Azael."

"Honestly, I wanted to find out the reason behind this... but I can't do it," he said with a nervous chuckle.

Because a pair of cold eyes were still locked onto him. As much as he wanted to study this, Azael was the son of the late Duke of Ignivar. And he knew it was better to stay away from them.

The man left the room after saying goodbye to Azael.

Now Aeliana and Azael remained in the chamber.

She strode toward Azael's bed, her high heels clicking against the marble floor.

Standing near the edge of the bed, she looked at the boy.

His black hair was messy. Violet eyes stared at her calmly. His complexion had become better. There was no fatigue or tiredness on his face.

She exhaled deeply. "You are healthy now. No illness anymore... congratulations," she said softly. Her lips curved into a very small, rare smile.

And yet it was too beautiful. Azael kept looking at her gorgeous face, at her cherry lips that formed into a smile. Only for a few seconds, though. Her expression quickly became calm and cold again.

"Thank you, Mother," he decided to thank her. It was a good thing he got to see her smile for him.

She just gave him a nod. "Then I will take my leave. You should take some rest."

Saying that, she moved toward the door. Azael's violet eyes were stuck on her hypnotic wide hips as they swayed with her every step.

'Hah... damn my mind... it's hard,' he couldn't help but curse his dirty thoughts.

---

Currently, Azael was practicing swordsmanship in the training hall with Arista.

Clack! Clack!

The wooden sword met against another wooden sword.

Sweat dripped from his forehead as he continued to slash his sword at Arista.

Her movements were precise, smooth, beautiful, and perfect.

Meanwhile, Azael was still getting used to his weak body. But compared to before, he had improved.

It had been a week since he got checked by Eldrich. Now that he was perfectly fine, his illness was gone.

This news spread all over the palace. All the servants and knights knew about it.

Because of that, no one questioned him or stopped him from practicing. Arista also decided to train with him every day.

Clack!

Azael's sword flew into the air and fell onto the floor.

"Hah... hah," he exhaled heavily, tired.

Arista smiled at him. She was currently in the same outfit as always for training: a tight white sports bra and dark-colored tight leggings. Her hair was pulled back and tied in a high ponytail. She really looked alluring. Sweat on her brown skin was glistening, making her look more attractive.

'Damn. Those abs are something,' Azael thought while still breathing hard.

"You are improving at a really amazing speed, Azael. You truly have amazing talent for swordsmanship," Arista praised him honestly. She was genuinely impressed by his speed of learning.

She smirked. Her hand raised as she patted Azael's dark hair, even though it was wet with sweat. Azael didn't stop her. It was childish, but since Arista was really beautiful, he didn't mind it.

'Was I really like this always?' he questioned himself.

"Continue to train hard. You will be strong in no time. Anyway, I will take my leave now. I need to help Mother with her work," she said while preparing to leave the training hall.

"Yes. Thanks for helping me out. Have a nice day," Azael responded.

Giving one last smile to Azael, she left the training hall.

"Hah," he fell onto the floor and sat on his rear. He continued to wait there. Just then, the doors of the training hall opened.

The one who entered was the head maid, Isabel Walker.
