He stabbed his spear into the face of the enemy in front of him.
SHLIK!
The blade pierced through flesh, shattered bone, and erupted from the back of the man's skull. Blood and brain sprayed across the deck, painting the wood in shades of crimson. The enemy's body went limp, collapsing to the deck like a sack of grain.
Then he stepped on his body, using it as a platform to jump.
His body launched upward soaring through the air, cutting through the rain, descending toward the two warriors that remained. He threw the spear, his arm extending, his muscles coiling, his will absolute.
Then he jumped again, mid-air.
Using his spear as a speed booster, he went toward the two of them that were remaining. The spear shot forward, its tip gleaming, its purpose absolute. He grabbed it, his fingers wrapping around the shaft, and then he threw it at full speed.
It made a sound like the bursting of air a sonic boom that echoed across the water. It created a force so great that it pushed out everything that surrounded him, even turning minor destroyed vessels to ash. The wood shattered, the bodies scattered, the sea boiled.
The spear went forward, destroying the body of one of them completely.
Half of their body was turned into a blood mess flesh and bone and organs scattered across the deck, their existence erased in an instant. The second one that was beside him could not even react to the attack, not even a bit. His eyes widened. His mouth opened. His heart stopped.
Seeing this, he began to shake.
His body trembled. His hands quivered. His breath came in ragged gasps. He shouted out loud in fear, his voice cracking with terror.
"YOU BASTARD!"
He got his bow and arrow ready.
His fingers nocked the arrow, his arms drawing the string, his eyes aiming at the Black Knight. He fired two shots at Gareth.
Gareth ran toward the attack.
His body moved fast, fluid, effortless. He caught the arrows mid-air, his hands closing around the shafts, his reflexes absolute. Then he turned and sent them back to him.
The arrows flew through the air, spinning end over end, aimed at the warrior's heart. He bent down, dodging the attacks, and fired more arrows as he ran backwards, jumping to get in far range from the enemy.
Gareth said to him, his voice calm, almost conversational.
"There is no use in doing that." He paused. "You cannot escape from I, the Black Knight."
His voice hardened.
"Only death is your freedom." He paused. "And unfortunately for you, you have walked right into it."
The warrior did not understand what he was saying.
He had already gotten a large gap between them distance that should have been safe, space that should have given him time. Then all of a sudden, he could not breathe properly.
His hand flew to his neck, his fingers searching for the source of the obstruction. He noticed that there was a knife in his neck a blade that had been buried deep, its hilt protruding from his flesh.
He felt a hand touching his shoulder.
He looked behind.
It was the Black Knight.
Gareth crushed his skull.
His fingers tightened, his grip absolute, his will unyielding. The bone splintered, the brain burst, the body went limp. He let the corpse fall to the deck, its blood pooling around him.
He said to Darlington, his voice calm and steady.
"How many are left?"
Darlington replied to him, his voice smooth and calculating.
"Well, there are about fifty more remaining." A pause. "And I have a feeling that our plan worked out perfectly."
He paused again.
"By putting fear in them with your explosive strength and speed, now they will be forced to fight with fear in their minds."
His voice hardened.
"This will lead to two things." He paused. "Either they will grow stronger from this..."
His voice dropped.
"...or, hehe, they will die like insects."
Gareth, the Black Knight, said, his voice calm, certain, absolute.
"Well, it doesn't matter the path they take." He paused. "If they grow, I will cut them down. And if they're insects, I will squash them."
-
He ran and grabbed his spear.
His fingers wrapped around the shaft, pulling it free from the wreckage, raising it high. He jumped into the sky, high enough that he was able to see hundreds and thousands of vessels of pirates and navy that were there, including the destroyed ones and even the pile of dead bodies of monsters.
He threw his spear with such great force from that height.
BOOM!
It made a shockwave powerful enough that it tore through the sound barrier, the force rippling across the water, shaking the ships, rattling the bones of every soldier who heard it. Then as it made contact with that part of the Infinite Sea, it made a crater in the sea as big as a country.
The water parted. The ships shattered. The bodies scattered. The sea itself seemed to gasp in pain.
Pushing everything apart.
Darlington and Gareth smiled as they said, finally, a good battlefield.
Gareth said to Darlington, his voice calm and steady.
"How many of them were killed in this attack?"
Darlington replied, his voice smooth and calculating.
"Well, about fifteen." A pause. "And the rest the rest are exposed."
Gareth then said, his voice hardening.
"Good." A pause. "It's time to kill."
General Rondlf saw this happening.
He could not believe the amount of damage that single attack had caused. The crater in the sea, the shattered ships, the scattered bodies it was beyond anything he had ever witnessed. He could not help but be moved, his heart swelling with hope and wonder.
He took the chance and shouted, his voice rising like thunder.
"TO ALL THE NAVAL VESSELS AROUND HIM AND IN THE ENTIRE ENVIRONMENT!"
His voice echoed across the water.
"NOW IS THE TIME!"
He raised his fist.
"FIND THE PIRATES AND WIPE THEM OUT!"
His voice hardened.
"KILL EVERY SINGLE PIRATE SCUM OF THIS PART OF THE SEA!"
As he shouted, every member of the navy of all vessels, no matter the rank, shouted out loud in return.
Their voices rose together a chorus of conviction, a symphony of hope, a declaration of war. They were all filled with conviction, their hearts burning with the fire of righteousness, their minds focused on a single goal.
Victory.
The soldiers shouted.
The pirates trembled.
And the sea roared.
