Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: Reviewing The Loot!

Now that Frigga had departed from the guest room that was assigned to me and her two service maids wandered toward who knows where to get the clothes I will change into, I was left alone.

I might as well review my Status now that I was alone like this. I knew better not to return to Azure Point to laze around and watch some anime. I don't know how long it will take for the service maids to come back. Now this is looking like a Status Window. I'm practically Level 40 or 50 while still being 13. I did not decide to equip Spellblade quite just yet as I want to review its details first and check what my Status Preview is like before and after equipping Classes and all the loot I got from finishing that second Instance Dungeon.

A/N: I don't need to list the various Functions/Skills/Spells now, do I? On Patreon, I might do a Status Window Chapter 0-type chapter at the start of each volume, and only show this Status Preview going forward. When Myles obtains new Spells or Skills, I will still show their details initially. On Webnovel, I'll add the entire Status to an auxiliary chapter. Let me know if you readers like it like this!

Yep. I am quite pleased with this Status Preview. Those Stats look quite juicy. I should still be in the 10s right now as far as my Level goes, but I'm already in the 200s for some!

Shoot. Now that I thought about it, I didn't check the tag above Frigga now, did I?

Guess I'll see what Level Frigga is at later. But if it's anything as the rest went, she's probably Level 500, or above. I can't even head out into the Nine Realms until I have sufficient strength to fight my enemies. That won't be inside Instance Dungeons so I am quite curious how all of that will turn out.

I also saw the new Function right underneath my Title, Class! As much as I wanted to equip it right away, I paused.

Recalling that I still had my two Zanpakuto, I had actually never equipped Frieren's Staff. I wanted to do so before abruptly coming here to Asgard, but the Bifrost carried me too quickly before I could equip it. All I could do was reach out and grab it so I didn't leave it behind at Azure Point. They remain invisible until the moment I reach for them and bring them out to battle. Since I still had them on, I couldn't equip Frieren's Staff.

Feeling determined, I am sorry my friends. I will not forget your service, nor do I plan to ignore you. I will make sure the Zanpakuto evolves at some point, but I'm already getting an itch to change my weapon to something else for the first time. I want to see what it's like being a full-blown Spellcaster, even though I don't intend to follow in Han Jihan's steps. This is just the first step to becoming a Spellblade!

The Gamer Notifications followed, and I went through each one.

MP Recovery: 109 per minute.

One minute passed, two minutes passed, three minutes passed...

A steady string of +109 MP that was colored blue constantly appeared above my head as I was left shocked by what Frieren's Staff did alone. The maximum MP it can reach is already approaching my HP, which is no longer boosted. That alone is crazy. If I went back into that Zombie Street now, no doubt they would all die in one or two shots from Wind Sphere.

I haven't even checked out Spellblade or my other Purple-Grade Loot yet...

I was in a bit of a pickle of what I wanted to do next, so instead of mulling it over for a while, I just decided to take it from the top, and start with the Purple-Grade Equipment. Frigga's service maids were taking their sweet time, so this allowed me to review everything. Sure enough, once I began to review their details, each one came from either a different anime, or a different video game. I started with Angel's Feather.

[Angel's Feather]

A pristine, white feather that has been plucked from Metatron's body, an Angel of highest authority who is said to be the voice of God, while having the ability to speak every known language to exist. A small leather loop has been sewn into the feather, allowing you to equip it as an Earring. Angel's Feather is inspired by the game series, Shin Megami Tensei.

Name: Angel's Feather

Grade: Purple

Stats: +30% INT +30% WIS

Special Effect 1: Grants Field Skill, Wordsmith (B)

Special Effect 2: Light Element Spell Power: +100%

[Wordsmith]

You can instantly comprehend, read, write, and speak every known language in the Nine Realms. It also increases your effectiveness to either persuade, negotiate, or interact with others. This is particularly effective while deciphering ancient texts and magical inscriptions.

Name: Wordsmith

Rank: B

That...is unexpected. I quite like Wordsmith as a Skill. On Planet Earth, I could go to any country I please, and speak their language. If I pay Kamar-Taj a visit and happen to stumble upon their forbidden texts, I could potentially learn Magic that other Mystic Art users can't. I could even potentially learn Asgardian Runes, or see if they exist. This just opened up several avenues for me to tread!

I moved onto the second piece of Equipment.

[Sage's Crown]

A legendary circlet that is said to house the wisdom of the Great Sage. Upon wearing it, your thoughts become immensely clear, allowing you to recall memories at a whim. You now have an easier time reading the flow of battle. Sage's Crown is inspired by the Great sage from That Time I Reincarnated As A Slime.

Name: Sage's Crown

Grade: Purple

Stats: None

Special Effect 1: If you possess Field Skill, Mind Resistance, you can no longer gain experience toward this Skill. Instead, it becomes temporarily upgraded to Mind Immunity while you have Sage's Crown equipped.

Special Effect 2: Grants Field Skill, Concurrent Casting (A). You can now cast two Spells at the same time.

!?

A temporary upgrade to Mind Immunity!? Are you telling me I don't have to deal with any bullsh*t from Hydra or individuals like Professor Xavier in the future!?

I couldn't help but greedily stare at the sparkling circlet now in my hands...

But I held out strong. I still had two more pieces of Equipment to review, and two spells to review as well, and my new Class. I plan to put everything on together at the same time, and I can put each piece on without taking off the rest. Doing this will fill my Earring and Ring slots up, so I will need to keep that in mind.

[Aegis Vambrace]

A reinforced arm guard forged from an unknown alloy that is reminiscent of the anti-Shadow weapon, Aigis. It is designed in such a way to let you endure overwhelming force while you can strike back with suppressive fire. It easily lets you switch between defense and offense, making you become a fortress on the battlefield. Aegis Vambrace is inspired by the character Aigis from Persona 3.

Name: Aegis Vambrace

Grade: Purple

Stats: 50% HP 50% VIT

Special Effect 1: Grants Active Skill, Bulwark (A).

Special Effect 2: Grants Active Skill, Bullet Barrage (B).

[Bulwark]

You become a menace on the battlefield while bracing for impact. All damage gets reduced by a certain degree. Time your attack well to unleash a devastating counterattack.

Name: Bulwark

Rank: A

Level: N/A

Proficiency: N/A

Use: 0/10,000

Range: Self

Special Effect 1: Reduces Attack Damage and Magical Damage by 50% for 20 seconds.

Special Effect 2: Unleashes a powerful parry attack, dealing 500% Attack Damage onto target.

[Bullet Barrage]

You can store up to one hundred bullets in a special storage space within Aegis Vambrace, which has been enhanced with magic. Each stored bullet can be further enchanted to strike an enemy's weak point. This attack can be used as a supplemental attack to your primary Damage stat, not requiring the use of a gun.

Name: Bullet Barrage

Rank: B

Level: N/A

Proficiency: N/A

Use: 0/10,000

Range: Varies

Damage: 100%-1000%

Special Effect 1: Each bullet fired adds 10% Attack Damage.

Special Effect 2: If Enchantment is applied to the bullet storage, it will scale off of Magic Damage.

[Jewel Ring]

A magnificent ring adorned with seven radiant jewels, each one overflowing with immense power. It is fashioned after the legendary Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown. The gems embody the known elements, allowing a continuous stream of mana to flow from the skies into the ring. This inexhaustible flow grants you the coveted ability to take to the skies without limit.

Name: Jewel Ring

Grade: Purple

Stats: 100% LUK

Special Effect 1: Grants Field Skill, Fly (A).

...!

I don't even need to read the description of that last Skill. It should be self-explanatory by the name alone. It's the very same Skill Ainz uses when he puts on that necklace, allowing him to take to the skies and observe his new surroundings after being transported into that unknown world. I'm referring to that Fly!

The best part? It can be turned off and on at will. Jewel Ring acts like a battery, and it won't run out of mana no matter what I do. I really wanted to try it out right away, but again, I held off on doing so.

One, a human flying here in Asgard would draw in way too much attention. I am not sure if I want to draw that sort of attention right now. I do feel more safe once Mind Resistance temporarily upgrades to Mind Immunity. Perhaps later.

Instead, I continued reviewing the rest of the goodies I got from completing that Instance Dungeon. I didn't check the Spellblade Class quite just yet. I had earned three Spells from the Undead King, with the third one counting as a lucky drop while granting me Light Magic. Sure enough, I saw three Spells added to my Spell Book. I went ahead and reviewed each one.

[Holy Sanctuary]

An immense barrier of holy light envelops your entire Party. Any lost Vitality is steadily recovered until the light vanishes.

Name: Holy Sanctuary

Rank: C

Element: Light

Level: N/A

Proficiency: N/A

Cost: 500 MP

Range: Party

Magic Damage: N/A

Special Effect 1: Recovers 5% HP every second. Duration: 01:00.

Special Effect 2: Nullifies Damage from Low and Mid-Rank Undead during the duration of the Sanctuary.

[Frozen Lance]

You conjure large, frozen icicles and hurl them onto the battlefield. Upon striking your targets, the icicles explode into tiny shards of ice, hitting all targets in a certain radius. From there, the ground is enveloped in a thin layer of ice, obstructing the movement of your targets.

Name: Frozen Lance

Rank: C

Element: Water

Level: 1

Proficiency: 0.0%

Cost: 100 MP

Range: Medium-AOE

Magic Damage: Inflicts 350% Magic Damage.

Special Effect 1: 50% to inflict Status, Freeze.

Special Effect 2: 100% to inflict Status, Slip.

[Tempest]

You release an overwhelming torrent of wind into the atmosphere above you. From there, a colossal tempest strikes down and hits all targets in range while it unleashes powerful cyclones and gales.

Name: Tempest

Rank: B

Element: Wind

Level: 1

Proficiency: 0.0%

Cost: 1000 MP

Range: All Targets

Magic Damage: Inflicts 750% Magic Damage

Special Effect 1: Attack Speed is reduced by 50%.

Another attack-all attack that I have access to. It isn't just Tenpuzan anymore. Plus it scales off my Magic Damage. Being able to inflict 750% of that must be quite deadly. I also have a Healing Spell that just doesn't target me, but my whole party. My Spell Book is growing by the minute!

I also didn't forget about the new Active Skill I took from Thor after we became acquaintances. I also reviewed its details. I can only imagine it's something similar to how Thor attacks with Mjolnir, hence the name, Thunderclap.

[Thunderclap]

You leap high into the air before your weapons become clad in lightning. With the force equivalent to that of the God of Thunder, you descend onto a single target and unleash a devastating strike that detonates into a loud clap of thunder. Arcs of electricity shoot off in all directions, only to converge and hit the target, leaving the target stunned. Few enemies can withstand the sheer force unleashed by this Skill.

Rank: A

Type: Active Skill

Level 1:

Proficiency: 0.0%

Cost: 2500 MP

Range: Single Target

Attack Damage: Inflicts 5000% Attack Damage

Special Effect 1: Inflicts Status, Stun.

Wow...

Thunderclap is quite strong! Much stronger than Tenpuzan, in terms of Damage. The difference is Tenpuzan hits everything, destroying everything in its path while Thunderclap only hits one target to unleash a devastating attack. Because of that, it inflicts 5000% Attack Damage. It even leaves the target completely stunned if it somehow lives. That's a nice finishing touch.

These attacks are nice!

And then, I saved the best for last. The Spellblade Class.

Let's see what it has to offer, shall we?
