In Star City, large citizens roamed around the city as it became windy. Loud footsteps hit the rooftops of the buildings.
Another eighteen years had passed, as the citizens glanced upwards, seeing two beings running across the city. One with a sword and one wearing a black cloak.
Yuki kept chasing through the city as his hair was no longer in a ponytail, but untied, letting his hair flow through the wind of Star City.
Finally he had caught up then decapitated him cleanly. He still looked young. Yuki had started cleaning his sword, Amyrix.
Yuki: Nice to finally be alive...
His mana was more fluent and controlled than before as his blade had a light shining from the sun.
A loud car alarm suddenly went off as there were smoke going through the air, polluting the area. Yuki had immediately noticed this and sprinted over to its direction.
As he arrived, he noticed the car had suddenly exploded, then immediately, a magical blast was shot from the east side. A beam of heavenly light.
Yuki had avoided it, though, it grazed him. He was put off guard through this shot and once he glanced over, he noticed Yuichiro, the same being who told him about his immortality.
Yuki: Hmm...?
Yuichiro: Long time no see.
He glanced into Yuichiro's eyes not noticing any difference, though his actions had immediately gave it away.
Yuki: Hey...
His eyes are soulless as he floated above the city.
Yuki: ...What happened while I was dead for 36 years...?
Yuichiro had chuckled slightly, though it was filled with malice, and flew towards Yuki with killing intent.
He moved so fast that it caught him off guard as Yuki's eyes suddenly widened and blocked with Amyrix. The blade had took the attack, but the impact has sent them flying through multiple buildings, skidding across the floor of the city.
He had already coughed up a gallon of blood onto the floor just the moment the fight had started.
Yuichiro: You're weak. It's so insulting. I wonder why I even gave you information.
Yuki: I'm not weak... I'm strong, most definitely, but it's just that he's overwhelmingly powerful...
He had sat there as his hand trembles as he felt his ribs break on impact when going through buildings of Star City. He was covered in bruises as he wiped his mouth.
Yuichiro: You know.. I wasn't going st my fullest Yuki.
Yuki: The hell's gotten into you...?
His cold, detached tone was heard from citizens, though Yuichiro didn't shiver from his voice. Due to being so powerful, he only see Yuki as a disappointing, non-functioning toy he would just destroy.
As Yuichiro charged towards him, he had jumped back as he crashed into the ground, causing a large crater. In that instant, Yuichiro had used the space around him forcibly transfer him to himself through making gaps in the space.
Yuki, who had jumped back, had now appeared behind Yuichiro. He had then grabbed Yuki by the neck as his grip tightens, causing air to be cut off. Yuki had tried to set himself free, though nothing worked, but had only one option left.
He held Amyrix by the handle, facing the blade downwards then stabbing Yuichiro on the arm, and used the force from that to cleanly sever it.
He fell as he removed Yuichiro's hand. Though Yuichiro had regenerated it instantly.
In that very instant, Yuichiro had jumped and tackled Yuki as they move through the air faster than lightspeed.
Yuichiro: Come on! Is that all you could do to me?
He shouted as Yuki started to repeatedly punch him directly, though he wasn't budging or letting go of him.
Yuki: I'll kill you, whoever you are... I'll bring his soul back..
He couldn't have done much. Yuichiro had started strangling him again though he tightened his grip immediately. Due to being soulless, there was no control of him.
Yuki realized this as Yuichiro winds up his hand to pierce through his body. As he pushed forward with his hand, Yuki had used Amyrix's blade to severely wound him.
He was falling, but suddenly a bright, glowing portal had opened up, leading to the Zeroth Dimension.
He had landed in the Palace of Origin. The area surrounding him was like a void, but not a void. It was confusing to him. He stood up, wiping off the dust from his clothes.
Yuki: The hell...?
His boots echoed through the space as he walked through this dark, empty space. There was nothing until he ran into the library.
He walked through out of curiosity, and noticed papers around explaining the dimensions of this space.
One had said:
The Zeroth Dimension, contains no dimensions in nature, and is the dimensional source of existence.
The possession of beginning and ending doesn't exist. It just continues on and on with no start and end. It couldn't be completed.
Yuki had read this as he sighed. There was no wind. There was no sound. Everything couldn't continue and stop in this palace.
He had left the library and walked through the halls, just to see the throne room.
Though, the Origin of Destruction had appeared behind him, and it attacked again, but this was different. As if attacked, Yuki had blocked the attack with Amyrix.
∅—∑—ℵ₀—𝌆: Good... you're learning..
Yuki felt shivers down his spine. It was the first real fight between him and this thing.
Yuki: ...
He stayed silent as he stood across the Origin of Destruction.
∅—∑—ℵ₀—𝌆: You know... you've gotten stronger throughout your 36 years dead... moving between Hell and Heaven.
Yuki: ..So what of it?
∅—∑—ℵ₀—𝌆: My lovely soul puppets had brought you here.. to your death. Again. My soul splits into infinite existences of myself as they exist throughout all of existence. I shall corrupt all things...
He held Amyrix in front of him as he sighed deeply. He couldn't call it without a name. Though it would just be temporarily.
Yuki: Before we start... I'd like to give you a name to call you by..
The idea of it was unpleasant to it, though it stayed quiet as it stood across him with overwhelming power—power that transcends all of existence.
Yuki: You don't mind if I call you Zerathis.. right?
After it heard the name, it had gotten its interest.
Zerathis: Zerathis... the Origin of all Destruction... yes, perhaps it fits...
It was interested in the name. Yuki was getting ready to charge towards Zerathis, though in that second, he was already dead.
The high speed attack had left no time for Yuki's life to even flash before his eyes.
Zerathis: HAHAHAHA! It is all a lie! Everything! All things! I shall become the entire story! Manipulate all and defeat Lord Azathoth! HAHAHA!!
It laughed loudly which echoed through the Palace of Origin.
Zerathis: You fuckers are stupid! Lord Azathoth can't stop dreaming about something that is THE origin of all things! The author.. everyone.. everything! I WILL TAKE OVER. THE. STORY.!!
It kept laughing, until silence. It stopped.
Azathoth: Who said I can't win against you... who said I won't just remove what makes you.. you right here and now...?
That voice was the second warning from Azathoth to Zerathis. It sent shivers down its nonexistent spine.
Azathoth: I can't kill you... and you're the origin of everything.. YOU started everything and existed BEFORE everything... I can agree on that.. but, say something like that again, and I will permanently remove the things that makes you, you...
Azathoth's voice telepathically reached Zerathis as it sweats. It hadn't realized Azathoth could had heard it.
Yuki eyes snapped open in Heaven as he sat up and rubbed his head. He was left unsure as he stood up.
He sighed deeply while Zerathis' souls had started splitting up through existence, causing mayhem to each possible world. Kris had appeared into Heaven as she notices Yuki.
Kris: Died again huh? Yuichiro is pretty powerful...
She had her arms crossed as she sat there, though it confused Yuki.
Yuki: ...Aren't you supposed to be in Hell?
He stretched as he feels the pain in his body, causing him to groan in agony.
Kris: Hey, if you move more, you'll worsen your injuries!
Her voice was full of concern as she started healing him. He stood there unsure what she meant about injuries.
Yuki: Injuries...? Oh.. Zerathis' attacks... it had pierced holes into my body while ripping my organs out before completely decapitating me... Shit.. Even something like Zerathis wouldn't have killed me with basic attacks and go for the more brutal way of killing...
Yuki sighed as he sat down next to Kris with some relief, but also sorrow.
Kris glanced at him, though her concern never faded from her expression. They sat in silence as they examined the beautiful, golden skies of Heaven.
Yuki had realized in that very moment, that he still had a very long way to go in training. Kris stood up and gestured him to follow to a training ground.
