Chapter 36 - chapter 36

Chapter 36 — Get Lost

Both archers raised their bows once again, preparing to release another deadly volley, but before they could act, they were forced to retreat.

Astriel and Varnesh had already resumed their battle, completely ignoring the presence of the two Epic Gods.

To them, nothing else mattered.

Their rivalry overshadowed everything.

Their clash intensified, shockwaves erupting with every strike, distorting space and shaking the battlefield violently.

The pressure from their fight disrupted the archers' aim, making it nearly impossible to land a precise shot.

Even then, the arrows they released still carried enough power to shake the battlefield further.

The ground was already devastated by the celestial clash, and now, these additional attacks only added fuel to the destruction.

Amidst this chaos, another figure emerged.

Like a diamond shining between shattered stones, one immortal stepped forward.

He drew his divine sword, his chest rising and falling heavily as he struggled to breathe.

His eyes were locked onto the enemies ahead.

Then, something inside him snapped.

He entered a trance.

A wide, unhinged smile spread across his face as he began laughing like a lunatic.

Without hesitation, he charged forward and started cutting through other immortals mercilessly.

The pressure of the war broke many minds.

Immortals began to crack.

They lost control.

They went berserk.

No one cared about consequences anymore.

Madness spread like fire across the battlefield.

Even the Epic Gods were not immune.

They were no longer fighting for rank, nor for their armies.

They were fighting for thrill.

For pride.

For ego.

That ego pushed every single one of them to unleash their full power.

Participants began falling rapidly.

Like flies.

But none of them truly died.

Nameless moved constantly across the battlefield, teleporting the critically injured out of danger in an instant.

Even with such powerful beings and countless resources, everyone initially thought this war would last for years.

After all, defeating a celestial god or even a mythic god was never easy.

But reality proved otherwise.

The war had spiraled into pure chaos.

Lower gods challenged higher gods without hesitation, and some even managed to hold their ground.

The rules that were once carefully set had completely collapsed.

Only destruction remained.

In the middle of all this madness, the two archers lost themselves completely.

Ryder Voidbane and Zephyron Skyrend began firing arrows endlessly, like men possessed.

One of Ryder's arrows struck Zephyron directly, sending him flying across the sky.

Ryder laughed wildly, his expression filled with madness.

Zephyron recovered mid-air and immediately retaliated.

Both of them had abandoned all sense of control.

They no longer cared about allies or enemies.

They no longer cared about collateral damage.

Their arrows rained down without direction, hitting anyone unfortunate enough to be in their path.

They had become forces of chaos themselves.

Watching all this, Nameless sighed lightly.

"At this rate… this war won't last more than two or three days," he muttered.

Then his gaze shifted.

He searched for the two immortals he had chosen as his students.

The strong one.

And the weak one.

For a moment, he remained silent.

Then a small smile appeared on his face.

They were still fighting.

Before the war began, Nameless had given them artifacts and guidance.

They had followed his instructions, adapting their fighting styles and improving rapidly.

"Good… at least I didn't waste my effort," he thought.

Suddenly, a massive shockwave tore through the battlefield.

One section of the barrier cracked under the pressure.

Nameless turned instantly.

With a simple snap of his fingers, the broken barrier reconstructed itself in less than a second.

The repair was so fast that most didn't even notice it.

Only a handful of powerful beings sensed what had happened.

That single action revealed something terrifying.

Even among gods…

Nameless stood on an entirely different level.
