Chapter 28 - chapter 28

Chapter 28 – A Flashy Entry

Nameless had already decided his first target.

The opponents who possessed his artifacts.

If those people were defeated early, half the problem of the battlefield would disappear. Those weapons were powerful—but more importantly, they were his creations.

And no one knew their weaknesses better than their creator.

With that thought, Nameless headed toward the war council chamber.

This was the room where the most important figures of their faction gathered to discuss strategies for the coming battlefield.

Gods.

Epic gods.

Mythic gods.

And at the center of it all—

Varunesh, the Celestial God leading their side.

The heavy doors opened.

Nameless walked in with exaggerated style.

In his hand, he carried a sword.

He spun it behind his back dramatically, gripping the hilt tightly. Then he lifted it toward his head as if tapping his skull with the blade in a thoughtful gesture.

But Nameless forgot something important.

His grip was too low.

The sword suddenly slipped and swung wildly through the air—

The blade whistled past the face of a divine god sitting nearby.

The room froze.

The god nearly lost his head.

Nameless blinked.

"…Oops."

He raised both hands quickly.

"Sorry, sorry. Accident. Accidents happen, you know."

One god immediately covered his face, trying to hide his laughter.

The almost-decapitated god stared at Nameless with disbelief.

"You call that an accident?"

Nameless shrugged innocently.

Despite his terrifying strength and intelligence, he remained clumsy. And strangely enough—he liked it that way.

He never bothered fixing that trait.

Because that was simply who Nameless was.

He casually walked over and dropped into a chair.

"Alright," he said. "Let's get to business."

Several gods leaned forward.

Nameless rested his elbows on the table.

"I propose a simple plan."

He pointed toward a map of the battlefield.

"For the enemies who possess my weapons, send these specific fighters."

He began naming individuals.

"For the divine armor user—send this warrior."

"For the spear user—send him."

Confusion spread around the room.

One god raised his hand.

"That makes no sense," he said. "If the opponent has divine armor, we should send someone with demonic armor to counter it. Opposing energies overpower each other. That is basic strategy."

Several others nodded.

But Nameless raised a finger lazily.

"Ah, yes. Good point."

He paused.

"Wait… old man, how old are you?"

The god frowned.

Nameless scratched his head.

"…Actually, never mind. I'm probably older."

A few chuckles slipped out.

Then Nameless leaned forward seriously.

"Yes, opposite energies deal more damage to each other. Light damages darkness. Darkness damages light."

He tapped the table.

"But that also means both sides deal more damage."

The room grew quieter.

"I don't want explosive fights," Nameless continued. "I want controlled victories."

He pointed to the map again.

"If someone wearing heavenly armor fights someone else wearing heavenly armor, both understand the same energy properties."

He looked around the room.

"They know how that energy behaves."

"They know its weaknesses."

"They know how to avoid it."

Now the room was completely silent.

"This won't be a battle of raw power," Nameless said calmly.

"It will be a battle of experience."

He leaned back.

"The enemies who received my artifacts… don't fully understand them yet."

A slow grin appeared on his face.

"But I do."

Understanding spread across the table.

"If we send someone who cultivates the same energy type," Nameless continued, "I can teach them how to counter that armor… that weapon… that power."

He tapped the map again.

"The opponent will be using power they barely understand."

"Our fighter will be using knowledge I give them."

"That difference decides the fight."

Some of the gods slowly nodded.

The logic was clear.

But others still looked uncertain.

One of them spoke.

"This strategy is risky. If the enemy fighter is more experienced than our warrior, everything collapses."

Nameless shrugged.

"That's war."

He crossed his arms.

"My plan is solid."

Then he smirked.

"But not unbreakable."

The room fell into deep discussion.

Some gods supported his plan immediately.

Others argued against it.

The debate lasted for quite a while.

Finally, the divine generals reached a compromise.

They would modify Nameless's strategy slightly and adopt it.

Varunesh nodded from the head of the table.

"The first stage of the battlefield will follow this plan."

He looked around the room.

"Our goal is simple."

"Win the war."

Nameless leaned back in his chair.

The strategy had been accepted.

Now all that remained—

Was to see if the battlefield would follow logic…

Or descend into chaos.
