Evangeline locked her crimson eyes onto the apparition. "So... who are you, and what do you want from me?"

​"Hmm..." The old woman hummed thoughtfully, swaying slightly. "Time will reveal whether you are worthy of knowing my identity or not. But for now, you may call me Rudbeka."

​"Fine, Rudbeka," Evangeline shot back, keeping her composure. "What are you doing here with me? Why did you follow me in the first place? Is this the 'punishment' you were talking about?"

​"Yes, this is it," Rudbeka murmured, stretching her arms out to gesture at the blinding emptiness. "Isn't it beautiful? A perfectly white room."

​Evangeline looked around the stark, sterile void. "And what's supposed to be so terrifying about a white room?"

​"Terrifying?" Rudbeka chuckled, a dry, hollow sound. "There is nothing terrifying about the room itself. The terror lies within your own mind, and its inability to process a world entirely stripped of color. Look at your dress, for instance. Or the door."
