Chapter 6 - Ep.6 Druga

Margaret had her mind filled with inquiries she knew Myaki didn't know or wouldn't answer.

But she had learned something new about Myaki, his lineage.

The Druga Clan, they were small in number but had the power of a nation behind them because of one man who could take the form of any creature possible.

All members of the Druga Clan were called Son's of the Dragon and a noticeable trait of those in the clan is a red aura.

But Margaret knew that the Druga Clan were based on the other end of the continent in the kingdom of Hol'aki.

'Was he exiled? Or was he casted aside?' Margaret thought to herself.

Despite her age and vast knowledge of almost everything, the Druga Clan was not one of the subjects she knew well.

All she did know was that the Druga Clan had a high mortality rate, especially in adolescents before reaching adulthood.

"What are you going to do now that you know? Kill me? Lock me up? Or just cripple me?" Myaki said to break the silence.

Most nations refused to allow the Druga Clan to operate in their nation as wherever they are, chaos follows.

Tuonku was no exception.

Margaret released the wards and turned to leave before turning her head.

"That decision rests with the king to decide during the royal family meeting. Once the crown princes returns in three days then the King will decide." Margaret said.

Myaki sat down next to the window overlooking the entire kingdom while Margaret left.

But all Myaki could thing of was what Kentola had said.

Meanwhile at the great archive Margaret had teleported back to her books with Hector with her.

But Hector knew something was wrong as Margaret started moving bookshelves faster then the eye could see.

Hector could only feel the faint traces of mana around each of the books.

"Whats wrong? Is it the boy? What's troubling you?" Hector said.

Hector had never seen Margaret so bothered by something except for when she broke the news that she was pregnant with the crown princes.

Margaret however was silent before a book with a charcoal black grimoire flew to Margaret's hand.

Hector's face went cold and serious as he had seen that book before.

"The boy is from the Druga Clan. I do not know yet how or why he came to Tuonku but I fear more will come." Margaret said as she opened the book in her hand.

It was the Grimoire of Ashes, a tome capable of communicating with the dead who's soul was transcribed in its pages.

It was a taboo in Tuonku to preform dark magic, a rule given by Margaret herself.

It was a testament to how dangerous dark magic could be.

And now Margaret preformed the spell necessary to bring a soul back from the afterlife as she cut her hand and let her elven blood seep into just a single page.

"Heed my calling through death. I summon you, Thadius Druga!" Margaret said.

As the page burned a elderly man with a missing right arm appeared the size of a cat flaoting in the air.

"Ahh Margaret... how long has it been? Since you killed me. To think you could bring my soul from the afterlife to the mortal realm. How exciting!" Thadius said.

Margaret remembered the soul before them as a scourge to the living for the gruesome and demonic rituals he had preformed.

"It's been 97 years Thadius. We have some questions for you before I send you back to the afterlife." Margaret said while Hector stepped closer.

Thadius looked at Hector like a soldier looking at a criminal, without empathy or kindness.

"Your pretty strong boy. Maybe my grandson could get a good training partner with you. What do you want to know?" Thadius said.

Hector was the next to speak as there was very little time to ask Thadius questions.

"What would happen if a Druga Clan member were to be exiled or banished?" Hector said.

Thadius only had a look of utter confusion on his face.

"Exile? No one ever leaves the Druga Clan. If they are unworthy of the Druga name then they are killed without mercy or used for experiments." Thadius said.

Hector felt sick that someone could care so little about another person but Margaret was the next one to speak as she projected her encounter with Myaki with her mana.

"This boy is from the Druga Clan and possesses immense power. But he seemed ashamed to be a member of the Clan." Margaret said.

It was a possibility that Myaki was still playing tricks with them all or some other agenda. But all this change with the passage of time, even cold-blooded maniacs like the Druga Clan.

Thadius however looked only at Myaki before he started laughing like he was insane and looked at the confused Margaret and Hector.

"Seems like the brat actually remade those troublesome eyes, the eyes of Crimson Hell. Just imagine the power to break any rule in existence and that's just a little of its potential. It's truly a frightening Ocular gift." Thadius said.

Unlike the Emerald Eyes that could gaze into someone's true self Thadius spoke of a new type. One that could have the potential of destroying a nation with ease.

But Margaret was suspicious as she had researched all of the known Occular Gifts ever since the first wielders of the Emerald eyes appeared over 300 years ago.

Hector refused to believe such a thing existed as he slammed the table Thadius stood on.

"Nothing that powerful can exist! Is this some sort of deception?! Answer me!" Hector Yelled.

It was possible that Thadius was just lying to incite a grand deception to turn Myaki against them.

That was until Thadius's eyes turned from blue to red and instantly appeared before Hector and Margaret in body and soul.

"I am many things boy, but not a liar. If this Myaki has these same eyes then he may yet be able to transcend death itself." Thadius said.

Margaret instantly casted restraint magic but was shattered instantly while Hector summoned his Divine Aura at full might.

But this too was stopped with a simple wave of Thadius's hand before Thadius pulled his own eyes out of his head before squishing them like grapes.

"Ah that's much better. Although these cursed eyes are powerful it serves as a beacon to forces beyond human understanding. Kill me if you want but know that the Druga Clan with have already sensed my life force but will be unable to locate it." Thadius said.

Hector didn't waste a second before slicing Thadius in half while Margaret burned the body and soul with elven magic.

But the death of Thadius did not ease their feelings of Myaki being a spy or worse.

"Reinforce your wardings and summon the Golden Templars. I'll issue more man power on the borders. We need to be ready." Hector said.

Margaret nodded in agreement despite the risks as it might draw even more attention from the other kingdoms.

But there was too much at stake not to be prepared.

-Meanwhile in the lowest pit in the Druga compound-

"My lord, there is still no news of the young lord. Perhaps he is-"

*Slice!*

The Druga scouts saw only red blood spraying everywhere as the scout leaders head vanished with just a single breath from their lord and master, Yuan Druga.

"You have failed and failure is rewarded with death. Find Myaki or you all will be next, go!" Yuan commanded before the scouts scurried away like rats in fear that they would die without a moments notice.

This was the way of the Druga Clan where even the slightest movement could get you killed even if it was trivial and meaningless.

But despite what just happened a woman of the Druga Clan wearing nothing but a few pieces of armor covering her chest, arms and legs stepped up.

From the scars on her body alone anyone wether they were a simple commoner or a king would think twice before challenging her.

But her dominanating look was also captivating with her white hair and tanned skin.

Her name was well known to everyone in the Druga Clan as Shogo the Iron Maiden.

"My lord, reports of the third finger's battle at Bloodlust Rocks has arrived. We have sustained heavy losses from the void beasts nested there. What are your orders?" Shogo said.

Yuan however let Shogo's question go unanswered as he pushed a bookshelf to reveal a wall filled with a countless number of lanterns.

Each had their own name engraved below which signified a life of someone in the clan.

"Send the second and fourth fingers to conquer Bloodlust Rocks and prepare the next batch of candidates." Yuan said as he grabbed a lantern with its fire extinguished.

"At once my lord." Shogo said before vanishing and leaving Yuan alone with a cold lantern in his hand before he saw it's flame reignite on its own.

But moments later the flame died out again which led Yuan to crush the lantern until it was the size of a rat.

"I will find you Myaki... no one leaves the Clan..." Yuan said as he turned to another lantern with Myaki's name written below it.
