Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: I Punched My Future Killer

"Fuck... you."

Eveline spat through gritted teeth, her voice trembling with rage, Snow-white bangs veiled her beautiful silver eyes.

"What?"

Xavier turned to her in confusion, his own snow-white eyes widening after his sister sudden curse at him.

Before he could ask another question, a fist came hurtling toward his face.

" Are you crazy...Eh"

He quickly dodges the incoming fist.

"Aghh.."

The second punch come immediately after.

Thud!

The punch landed squarely on his jaw, knocking him unconscious.

Eveline blew on her fist as she looked down at the unconscious Xavier.

"That's for killing me in the future, bastard." Eveline muttered through clenched teeth.

She exhaled sharply. As her snow-white bangs slipped aside, revealing a pair of silver eyes burning with anger and resentment.

"Hmph."

Eveline gave the unconscious Xavier one last kick before turning on her heel and walking away.

"Y-Your Highness!"

The panicked cries of the maids rang out behind her, but Eveline turned a blind eye and continued walking with her arms crossed.

Just a day ago, she had been one victory away from claiming her sixth consecutive championship title and retiring with a prize of millions of U.S. dollars.

The thought of all that money made her eyes well up with tears.

After winning the match, she had been treating her injuries when she suddenly collapsed. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a completely different world.

At first, she was ecstatic when she learned she had become the princess of one of the strongest empires.

But that happiness didn't last long. The moment she heard the names of the Emperor and Empress, they sounded strangely familiar, though she paid them little attention.

Now, after seeing that bastard Xavier—the one she had just punched—the final piece fell into place.

She had transmigrated into a supernatural novel she had read out of curiosity because of its overwhelming popularity.

And Xavier...

He was the male lead.

The same male lead who would one day kill the owner of this body for her countless villainous acts against the novel's female protagonist.

"Blegh." Eveline spat on the ground in disgust at the thought that she and Xavier shared the same blood.

Y-Your Highness, um..."

Hearing the weak, trembling voice behind her, Eveline looked over her shoulder.

A young maid with brown hair, dressed in a neat maid's uniform, followed a few steps behind her, hesitating as if she wanted to say something but lacked the courage.

"What?" Eveline snapped before clearing her throat.

"Ahem... yes?"

Her irritated tone softened the moment she noticed the maid flinch.

The maid blinked in disbelief at the sudden change in her mistress's voice. Shaking her head, she quickly said,

"Y-Your Highness... what if Her Majesty punishes you for injuring the Crown Prince?"

"So what? I'll punch them too and take the thro—"

"Ah!"

The maid, Mia, panicked and hurriedly covered Eveline's mouth.

Her eyes widened in horror, unable to believe what she had just heard.

"Shh! Your Highness, you can't say things like that! Please!"

Seeing the puppy-like look in Mia's eyes, Eveline raised an eyebrow.

Realizing she had overstepped, Mia quickly pulled her hand away from Eveline's mouth and lowered her head.

"S-Sorry, Your Highness..."

Eveline sighed at the maid's timid behavior. Almost instinctively, she reached out and gently ruffled Mia's hair.

"It's fine. Why are you getting scared over something so small? Be a little braver."

With that, Eveline turned around and walked toward her room.

Mia stood frozen, her puppy-like eyes blinking in confusion.

Before today, even the smallest mistake would earn her a harsh scolding from the princess.

Since when did Her Highness start giving lectures about being brave?

Eveline sat on her bed, absentmindedly flipping through a book to pass the time.

A knock echoed through the room.

"Come in."

With a soft click, the door opened. An elderly butler stepped inside, placing a hand over his chest before giving a respectful bow.

"Your Highness," he said calmly, "His Majesty has summoned you."

Eveline looked up from her book, a frown forming on her face.

"...Father wants to see me?"

As Eveline entered the throne hall, she looked up to see two middle-aged figures sitting on the thrones.

"Dear, come here."

The moment Claudia saw her precious daughter, she immediately stood and hurried toward her, pulling Eveline into a tight hug.

"Ehm..."

Eveline froze.

Should she hug her back?

After a moment of hesitation, she decided to return the embrace. After all, her new mother and father genuinely seemed to love her.

And judging by the original Eveline's spoiled behavior, they were probably the reason she had grown up so pampered.

Claudia pulled away and immediately took Eveline's hand, gently blowing on it.

"Does your hand hurt, dear?"

Eveline tilted her head in confusion.

"Why would my hand hurt?"

The Emperor, Damian, also stood from his throne and walked toward them with a concerned expression.

"Didn't you punch that thick-skinned—" He paused, glancing at Eveline's hand. "I mean, your brother?"

Eveline stared at her parents.

Seeing the concern on their faces, she pursed her lips.

Her shoulders began to tremble.

Claudia immediately exchanged a knowing look with Damian.

"See? I told you she'd be hurt!" Claudia exclaimed. "Look at her, my poor daughter!"

Just then, the throne hall doors opened.

Xavier stepped inside.

His Snow White eyes immediately landed on the scene before him.

He fist look at his mother who was fussing over Eveline's hand.

The at His father who was standing beside them with a worried expression, as if he was the one who has punch Eveline.

And Eveline...

Her shoulders were shaking violently.

Xavier's lips twitched in exasperation, is he really their own son.

Eveline finally couldn't hold it anymore.

"Pfft—HAHAHAHA!"

She burst into laughter.
