It was a Saturday morning, Anna opened her window the breeze blowing her messy hair.
she always like the morning weather, changing into her running clothes, she grabbed a bottle water, after jogging around around the neighborhood and the pack. she came back home, grabbing her phone she browse on social media, news of Kate debut on her first movie was a popular hit, due to a big star staring in the movie she was able to gain some engagement.
She haven't have alot of fan though, looking at her hypocritical face on the screen, she lost interest immediately, she replied to her dms and change her profile and deleted everything related to her former workplace.
She went to the kitchen to have her breakfast of bread and egg and some veggies and went to freshing up, since she will be going to a restaurant for a lunch date ,she put on a midi dress, wore her black wedges, a gift from Kate and her hair in soft waves.
She took a taxi, staring at the wooden board with oak pan cursively written on it, it was a mid range steak restaurant, after she and Alora tasted their steak it became their favorite spot to eat steak, she pushed the glass door open , the smell of grilled meat faintly in the air.
A hostess directed her to a place to seat, she was so happy when she got the window area, after thirty minutes of staring outside, the glass door finally opened and a tall man with his blazer slightly opened, his crips white shirt rolled a little and his cologne trailed after him, Anna was shocked if she didn't know better she might have thought he was stalking her with the amount of times she met him this week.
Suddenly he walked toward her, sat on the chair, his wristwatch catching the sun which created a bright glint.
"You...why are you sitting here" Anna said.
"You invited me for the date" Davis said in a low husky voice.
"You are grandpa son" Anna said in shock, thinking of the gentle and friendly grandpa related to him is like a rose surrounded by thorns. No wonder grandpa said his son is so unfilial.
"What will be you order sir and ma" A waiter asked, she glanced briefly at Davis.
"I will like a medium rare ribeye, please" Anna said reading her tag, this was the first time she is seeing her, maybe a new waiter.
"Okay miss, what about you mister" Ella asked
"Sirloin, medium" Davis said, his eyes on Anna, he thought about how she haven't replied to the contract he gave her, suddenly his thought was cut through.
"Which drink will you like "Ella said impatiently to Anna, she have been trying to get Davis attention, seeing that he wasn't giving her any attention, she became impatient.
"Champagne" Anna said confusedly, how is it her fault, it isn't like she is enjoying it, alright.
Ella left not even bothering to keep face anymore.
"The contract, I haven't received a reply"Davis said while sipping a glass of water.
He didn't know what attracted him to her, and since that old man kept forcing him to get married, always throwing temper about starving himself to death if he doesn't get married, he decided to just get a contract marriage.
"Not interested" Anna said lightly, even though her hand shook under the table in fear, she had heard news about how people disappeared after offending him, but she decided to stand up for herself.
Suddenly a document was placed in front of her, he already prepared another document, this one containing benefits she definitely can't ignore.
Anna picked up the document, after reading it she couldn't help but be tempted, she knew he had a talent agency under him , but she knew it wasn't easy to get in, compared to other actress and actors that went to big university, she might not get picked and the threat of Herold too. Suddenly she exclaimed.
"What refund with interest in a month, you big bully" Anna said, the reason she invited him was that she wanted to slowly repay the money and speak to him about it, but he was asking for repayment in a month and interest two times what he paid, even a loan shark doesn't have a thick face compared to him.
"What....do you think I will pay for free"Davis smirked, at that moment Anna really thought he was really a devil from hell.
"Simple, just sign the document" Davis said, he knew she won't accept easily, so he cornered her. "Also you aren't losing anything instead you are gaining, while I'm the one losing"
Anna could help but become more interested, she could repayment the debt and also chase her dream, she picked up the pen and signed.
"Let's go to the marriage bureau" Davis said while standing up, he adjusted his tie and stared at Anna who is still sitting.
"That fast" Anna said
"I have a lot to do with my time"Davis said
It was then that the server pushed the cart and served the food on the table, with Ella who is strutting behind, her make up heavier than become, seeing that they are leaving, she paused, rolled up a note in her hand and winked at Davis.
Davis waved at his assistant on the other table closer to the entrance.
"Pay" he said, he put his hands in his pocket and walked out, while Anna followed.
"Give me you details, i will transfer half of the money" Anna said
"Do you think I care about that change" Davis said
Anna glared at him that money he called change is the quarter of her former salary, she put her phone back in her pocket, forget it , what she didn't know was that if other people saw what she did, they will be scared off, who dare glare at the devil.
A black car was packed immediately at his front, while Davis entered the backseat, Anna pulled the passenger seat door.
"Come to the back" Davis said, he glanced at her amusedly, she looked cute when she glared at him.
Anna pulled the backseat door, immediately she entered and sat down his cologne filled her nose, she immediately glued her self with the door.
