Chapter 30 - Chapter 29 - Eclipse Fang

"Alright, thanks for explaining."

I was left speechless by these supposed rules. Well, the rules make sense since they're clones, even if they're developing personalities of their own. But I didn't expect the system to be the one telling them the rules.

Well, it makes sense.

What if a clone developed an unpleasant personality and ended up going against my orders or even trying to attack me? It's good to make it clear that they must not do those things.

Good to know.

After waiting outside for a few minutes, I entered the dungeon again to have a little more fun. I already had plenty of fun earlier today—now it's time for round two. But there's one thing that's bothering me…

[ Black Mamba ]

Attack – 1,260

Durability – 2,304 / 5,000

Unique Skill – Poisoning LV6

The dagger is breaking faster than the first time. Maybe it's because I've gotten stronger and I'm pushing the blade to its limits.

I need to buy a better weapon.

I have plenty of mid-level magic stones in my inventory.

If I convert all of them into points, I might get 400 or 500 points. That should be enough to buy a much better dagger, right?

Or maybe I'll try a different weapon this time.

I have another test to run.

What happens if I equip a different weapon while the clones are still using my dagger? Will their weapons change too, or will they keep the dagger? If they keep it, wouldn't they basically have a weapon with infinite durability?

Since they only lose it when mine breaks.

Alright, let's test this.

I opened the shop and started looking for a sword this time. I first searched for swords that cost 100 points. Most of them had simple attack abilities, like strengthening the blade or increasing attack power.

I also found swords with poisoning abilities similar to my dagger.

Since nothing caught my interest, I looked at swords that cost 200 points.

"Oh, these options are better."

I leaned against the dungeon wall and kept scrolling through the list, reading what each ability did and so on.

After looking through many swords, I found one that cost 200 points and looked quite powerful.

[ Eclipse Fang ]

Attack – 2,160

Durability – 9,000 / 9,000

Unique Skill – Eclipse Venom LV8

Strange name for a skill, but it's related to poison as well.

When I asked the system to show what the skill does, this time it gave a more detailed description.

[ Each strike applies "Shadow Venom," which ignores 30% of the target's endurance. ]

[ The poison deals increasing continuous damage for 10 seconds. ]

[ If the target is poisoned, the next attack deals additional explosive damage based on the total accumulated poison damage. ]

"That's a lot of information… But one thing is certain—this sword is far stronger than that dagger."

The only downside is that I have a lot of mastery with daggers, but I don't know how to use a sword.

Whatever.

I converted all my magic stones into points and bought the sword called [ Eclipse Fang ].

The sword materialized in the air in front of me. It had a long, thin blade. The handle was black with strange patterns carved into it. The blade itself was dark, but it emitted a faint purple glow, radiating a beautiful aura.

A dark aura.

I grabbed the hilt and smiled.

Then a system message appeared.

[ Do you wish to equip the sword "Eclipse Fang"? ]

[ Warning: The weapons of all your clones will be altered. ]

I was ready to equip it, but then I remembered that Clone 1 and Clone 3 were exploring the dungeon with those other idiots from the Loki Familia. If their weapons changed out of nowhere, they'd have to explain it.

I'll have to wait until they're alone.

But even if I change their weapons while they're alone, they'll still have to explain it.

They'll have to explain where they got the sword. And both of them would have identical ones.

The system should let clones use whatever weapons they want.

'Well, they already use identical daggers and no one seems to question it. It should be fine.'

POV: Clone 2

I was exploring the 17th floor as usual.

I found myself face to face with a Minotaur once again. I've fought this monster so many times that it's already become boring. I need to go deeper and fight stronger monsters.

The Minotaur stared at me and snorted. I smiled and beckoned with my hand, telling it to come at me.

Its eyes gleamed, and it kicked off the ground, charging toward me.

'Slow. Way too slow' I thought as I ran toward it.

I vanished from its sight with a simple movement and then punched behind its knee with all my strength. The Minotaur's leg buckled, and it dropped to its knees.

I seized the opportunity, jumped on top of it, and attacked its head. I clasped my hands together like a hammer and smashed down on its skull. A loud cracking sound echoed—its skull had probably fractured.

"Hahaha! Die, die!"

The Minotaur tried to resist, but it couldn't.

I struck its head several more times, eventually breaking through its skull.

With a wide grin, I watched its body dissolve, leaving behind a magic stone on the ground.

"Tsk! Another mid-level magic stone. I guess Minotaurs won't drop high-level stones for me."

I clicked my tongue and stored the magic stone in the master's inventory.

Then I heard a voice.

"Hey, did you see how that guy killed the Minotaur? Have you seen him before? Isn't he kind of strange?" It was a woman's voice.

"Hm?"

I turned toward her and saw a group of four people.

Two women and two men.

My face was covered in blood. I must look pretty unpleasant right now.

I smiled at them, and that alone was enough to frighten them.

"What are you planning to do, you disgusting freak?!" one of the men shouted, stepping forward and drawing his sword.

Is this guy looking for a fight?

This could be fun.
