For the remainder of the summer, Amanda, Cho Chang, Marietta Eckmore Edgecombe, and Penelope's plan to find the Horcruxes and Hermione and the others' plan for speeches continued to progress side by side. However, while the latter had yielded significant results, the former had unfortunately found nothing at all.
This continued until August 12th, when Amanda prepared to accompany Harry to the Ministry of Magic for his trial.
"So, do you really not want me to go with you?" For the fifteenth time, Hermione Granger asked as if she wouldn't give up, her eyes sparkling as she stared at Amanda.
"Really, there's no need," Amanda's expression remained calm, and she shook her head with a soft voice. "Harry is going for the trial, and I'm going to ensure Harry's safety. Two people are enough. If there are more, it's easier to create unnecessary risks."
"Yeah, Hermione, just wait at home for a bit. It'll only be for one morning."
Harry looked at Hermione and echoed Amanda's words. Then, after glancing at Amanda, he leaned in and whispered a promise in Hermione's ear.
"I promise to finish everything as quickly as possible so Amanda can come back to accompany you sooner."
Hermione cleared her throat and gave Harry a look that was half-relieved and half-amused. "That's not what I meant. I'm worried about you."
"Thanks." Harry nodded with a smile. Amanda waved at him, and Harry immediately followed her.
Walking out of the Granger Residence, Amanda nodded to Hermione standing at the door. Then, she led Harry to the roadside, raised her wand, and boarded the knight bus with him.
Because of Harry's previous Veritaserum interview, almost the entire British Wizarding World knew the news of his upcoming trial.
Therefore, as soon as he stepped onto the bus, the atmosphere on the knight bus suddenly became enthusiastic.
"Mr. Potter, I support you! Don't be afraid of the Ministry of Magic; they're just a bunch of useless trash!" A Young Wizard sitting on his bed waved vigorously at Harry.
"Don't be afraid, child. Those people at the Ministry of Magic are just putting on an act; they wouldn't dare do anything to you." An old Witch looked at Harry and Amanda with a face full of affection, even reaching out to stroke Harry's head.
Harry cooperatively lowered his head to let the elderly woman stroke it, then looked up at everyone on the knight bus.
"I'm not afraid because I know that the vast majority of the people in the British Wizarding World stand with me." Glancing sideways at Amanda, Harry's voice grew a bit louder. "My friends stand with me."
"With your support, I am fearless, no matter what I face!"
A burst of warm applause rang out inside the knight bus. This form of transportation, known for its extremely low comfort, had such a lively atmosphere for the first time.
Leading Harry to one of the empty beds, Amanda turned to look at him, her voice cold and calm. "Not nervous at all anymore?"
"Not nervous at all."
Harry nodded frankly. If he had indeed been a little nervous when leaving the house, he was now completely devoid of that emotion.
Just as he said, his friends were on his side, and the vast majority of the people in the British Wizarding World were on his side. What meaning did the opinion of that pathetic Y Country Ministry of Magic have then?
In other words, even if the Y Country Ministry of Magic and Fudge sentenced his wand to be destroyed today, so what?
This would only prove once again the Ministry of Magic's incompetence and abuse of power. Moreover, Harry believed that since Amanda had come with him, she would never watch the Ministry of Magic snap his wand.
Harry's thought was certainly correct. Regarding the situations that might arise today, Amanda had already made two assessments and two corresponding solutions in her mind.
The first situation was naturally Harry being proven innocent. Headmaster Dumbledore had already stated in a letter that he would be the defense for Harry's side, so Amanda believed the probability of this first situation occurring was at least 95.7%.
If this happened, she could return to the Granger Residence peacefully with Harry after today's trial.
The second situation was Harry being proven guilty. Although there was only a 4.3% chance of this happening, what if? What if Fudge had a decent grip on the Ministry of Magic?
Then Amanda would proceed with the second plan, which was to flip the table directly. It was impossible for Harry's wand to be destroyed by the Ministry of Magic, and for that, she wouldn't mind a head-on confrontation with the Ministry of Magic.
She believed that she wouldn't be the one crushed in the end. To that end, she had even thought of several ways to defeat the vast majority of people without causing the overall collapse of the Ministry of Magic.
Furthermore, she believed that given the level of support for Harry versus the Ministry of Magic on this matter, if such a head-on confrontation were to occur...
The one being condemned and lacking support would certainly not be her and Harry's side.
When they reached the ground level of the Y Country Ministry of Magic and the knight bus stopped once more, Amanda and Harry stepped off the bus amidst the cheers of the people inside.
Leading Harry into a telephone booth by the road, Harry curiously examined the small booth. "Is this the entrance to the Ministry of Magic?"
"One of the entrances." Amanda replied while operating the telephone. The next moment, the booth descended rapidly underground. In less than five seconds, she and Harry arrived deep within the Ministry of Magic.
As soon as they stepped out of the telephone booth, Harry saw a tall and elegant Witch walking toward him and Amanda. After nodding to him, she greeted Amanda.
"Junior Lin Yue, good morning." The Witch's voice was melodious and elegant; even Amanda couldn't help but give her a huge thumbs-up in her mind.
"Good morning, Senior Nordis." Looking at this senior's face, Amanda instantly recognized her from the many Ravenclaw graduates in her memory.
"I'm glad you remember my name," a few hints of genuine joy appeared on the Witch's elegant face. Then, she tucked away her smile and nodded to Amanda solemnly. "Everything is ready. We will follow Ministry of Magic regulations and file a lawsuit against Fudge for all his illegal and non-compliant actions in this matter as soon as Harry's trial ends."
"It's estimated that by the time Harry's trial is over, Fudge will receive the news that he is being sued and the notice to prepare for an investigation."
"Whoa, Amanda, you're going to sue Fudge?" Harry couldn't help but exclaim, turning to look at Amanda excitedly.
Suing Fudge... that sounded very heartening.
"Exactly," Amanda nodded frankly. "In your case, there are more than a few places where Fudge has broken the law and regulations. We can't expect everyone to just pretend they didn't see it."
Perhaps his supporters in the Ministry of Magic would buy it, but Amanda and The Ravenclaws in the Ministry of Magic certainly wouldn't.
Don't forget which group of people wrote the laws of the British Wizarding World. As long as they wanted to, they could pick out no less than ten illegal points from Fudge's riddled arrangements this time.
"In addition, Harry, don't be nervous. Even if you are found guilty and your wand needs to be destroyed this time, we have people ready outside the courtroom to immediately claim that this trial does not comply with Ministry of Magic legal regulations and demand the trial results be annulled."
"Of course," Nordis turned back to Amanda and smiled gently. "If Junior has other plans after Harry is found guilty, then just pretend I didn't say that."
"If the trial finds Harry guilty," Amanda's lips curled into a smile that was both mischievous and cold, "then there's no need to waste effort thinking about subsequent trial changes. I will use force to take Harry away from the Ministry of Magic directly."
"Understood. We will monitor the trial status at all times. If that situation arises, we will immediately lead non-Fudge faction Ministry of Magic employees away from the Ministry of Magic."
Nordis nodded to show she understood, then left quickly but elegantly.
About ten seconds after Nordis left, a Ministry of Magic employee walked toward Amanda and Harry.
"Your trial has been moved up, Mr. Potter. Please follow me."
"You have violated the Ministry of Magic's own regulations, Madam. Any change in trial time should be notified to the defendant and his defense counsel at least three days in advance."
The Witch, who was about to turn and lead the way, paused. Already nervous, she broke into a sweat as she looked at Amanda.
"I'm sorry, Miss Amanda, Mr. Potter. This is the Minister's decision; you have no right to question it." She forced herself to use the Minister for Magic's title to try and pressure them.
"Fine," Amanda raised an eyebrow, thinking that the Witch in front of her was indeed as unintelligent as Fudge. "It seems our Minister for Magic is himself a figure who does not obey the law, does not follow regulations, and stands above the laws of the Wizarding World."
"No, of course not..." The Witch realized and tried to retort, but was interrupted by a wave of Amanda's hand.
"It's obvious that's what you meant, Madam. Since Minister Fudge has placed himself above the Ministry of Magic's legal regulations, Harry and I naturally have nothing more to say. Please lead the way."
The Witch closed her mouth awkwardly and walked ahead in silence to lead Amanda and Harry.
Entering the elevator and watching it descend, Amanda spoke again after the doors finally opened and she walked out with Harry.
"It seems our Mr. Minister really doesn't follow Ministry of Magic legal regulations, whether they are written or common knowledge."
"To actually use a trial venue for major cases—mainly for Death Eaters—to interrogate a Young Wizard who hasn't done much wrong."
"Miss Amanda..." The Fudge-faction Witch walking in front of them felt like she was about to cry. She really couldn't understand why this young girl insisted on accompanying Harry.
They truly had no way to deal with Amanda. They couldn't out-argue her, and they certainly couldn't out-fight her.
It made it so that she wanted to retort but didn't know how, fearing Amanda would catch a loophole in her words and make the situation even worse—and even more afraid that her words would provoke Amanda, causing her to lose her life right outside the courtroom.
"I haven't said anything harsh or anything I shouldn't have, respected Madam. I have been conversing with you politely the entire time."
Hearing the faint sobbing tone from the other party, Amanda spoke quickly to prove her innocence.
"I have a clear conscience on this point; I could say the same even if I drank Veritaserum. So please, don't be like this."
The head of the Witch leading the way, already lowered, sank even lower. She joined the Fudge faction to be superior and to climb faster, but now... why did it feel like it was all over?
Walking beside Amanda, Harry felt like he was about to break his ribs from holding back his laughter. Merlin above, the "lethality" of Amanda after recovering some of her emotions was simply too strong.
This cheerful mood lasted until Harry walked into the courtroom, and even seeing the group of Wizengamot members in their long robes, he remained incredibly relaxed.
Sitting calmly in the defendant's chair, Harry clasped his hands and looked directly at Fudge, Umbridge, and the Wizengamot members opposite him.
And Amanda, who had been by his side, also scanned everyone present with a mechanical, solemn gaze.
Sitting opposite them, Umbridge felt Fudge's gaze, tilted her head high, and spoke to Amanda in a saccharine, disgusting voice.
"Miss Amanda, you are neither the defense counsel nor the defendant. Please leave the courtroom."
"Hmm, I'm indeed neither." Amanda nodded casually, but showed no sign of wanting to leave.
Instead, she glanced at the opposite side. The next moment, at an empty spot, a chair levitated into the air and then flew steadily behind Amanda.
Sitting down unhurriedly, Amanda looked at Umbridge, Fudge, and the Wizengamot members. Even though she was sitting much lower than them, her presence was more than equal to theirs.
Under her gaze, many people felt as if they were the ones being interrogated. Of course, considering many Wizengamot members were innocent or even on Headmaster Dumbledore's side, Amanda's pressure was mainly directed at Umbridge and Fudge.
"However, the relevant legal regulations of the Ministry of Magic do not state that the defendant is not allowed to have a companion in the courtroom. So I think there's no problem with me being here."
"The law does indeed say so." An elderly Wizengamot Wizard nodded.
Both Fudge and Umbridge looked as if they were choking, and they closed their mouths with extreme reluctance.
"Fine, then the trial begins now." Fudge took a deep breath, trying to ignore Amanda sitting next to Harry, and quickly announced the start of the trial, as if he were in a hurry.
And wasn't he just in a hurry? Amanda looked at him mockingly. The self-righteous clown—did he think he could stop Headmaster Dumbledore from appearing in court to testify for Harry this way?
She fully believed that Headmaster Dumbledore had already arrived at the Ministry of Magic. This little trick wouldn't be enough to fool the greatest white wizard.
"Surprisingly, no one told me the trial had been moved up. Fortunately, I arrived at the Ministry of Magic three hours early."
The doors to the courtroom were instantly thrown open, and Headmaster Dumbledore strode in, saying this after loudly announcing his name.
Seeing him enter the courtroom with their own eyes, Fudge and Umbridge's faces turned as pale as death.
