Flying outside the walls of Gryffindor Tower, Amanda accurately found the window of the Dormitory where Hermione was located.
By this time, the girls in the Dormitory had also been awakened by the sounds from outside and were sitting on their beds discussing something.
"Knock, knock, knock..."
Three soft knocks sounded. Even though it was an extremely gentle sound, its sudden appearance in the silent night still caused all the girls in the Dormitory, except for Hermione, to shudder collectively.
Hermione, however, seemed to feel something. She looked back at the window where the sound had come from and saw Amanda, dressed in a thin nightgown and barefoot, floating outside the window.
"Merlin!"
Hermione, who hadn't been frightened at all just now, let out an exclamation and hurried over to pull the window open.
"Quick, come in."
She spoke while grabbing Amanda's hand. Following Hermione's lead, Amanda stepped onto the windowsill with her bare feet and jumped into the Dormitory.
"Amanda?"
"Merlin's lace socks, how did you get here? Did you fly?"
The other girls in the Dormitory couldn't help but show expressions of surprise when they saw Amanda.
Hermione, meanwhile, moved quickly to fetch her own winter wizard robe and draped it directly over Amanda's shoulders. She also grabbed Amanda's two hands, placing them between her own palms and rubbing them constantly.
"Your hands are so cold; you didn't even put on more clothes."
Hermione didn't care at all why Amanda had come or how she had gotten there; she only cared about whether Amanda was freezing.
"I'm fine," Amanda responded in a flat tone.
Hermione gave an acknowledging sound and tightened the winter wizard robe around her again.
She pulled her over to sit on her bed and covered Amanda's bare feet with the quilt.
Only after doing all this and ensuring Amanda wouldn't freeze did Hermione ask why she had come and why she had come in such a manner.
"A feeling."
Amanda tilted her head, answering somewhat blankly and mechanically.
"A feeling?" Hermione frowned in confusion. "What kind of feeling?"
"I felt that something was happening at Gryffindor Tower. Hermione is here, and Harry and Ron are here too. I couldn't let anything happen to you."
"So you came over?"
"Yes," Amanda nodded affirmatively.
"Based on the analysis, flying directly through the window was the fastest option. Traveling through the Castle would have involved many detours."
"You," Hermione looked at Amanda with both touched and pained eyes, "when will you ever put yourself first?"
"At least get dressed before coming; how much time could that have taken?"
To Hermione's statement, Amanda shook her head with extreme determination. "Delaying for even one more second adds another second of variables and possibilities."
"I cannot gamble on possibilities. I must ensure Hermione's safety and the safety of my friends."
"It's okay, we are all very safe."
Hermione pulled Amanda into her arms and gently patted her back.
"Someone went out to ask just now. It was Sirius Black who broke into the boys' Dormitory next door. He used a knife to slash Ron's bed curtains, but Ron is fine. No one was hurt, and someone has already gone to find Professor McGonagall."
"Mm."
Amanda nodded in Hermione's arms without any surprise. From the moment she saw Hermione and the others sitting safely in the Dormitory from outside the window, she had concluded that no one was hurt and the situation wasn't critical.
Otherwise, given Hermione's personality, she definitely would have rushed out to help and wouldn't be staying quietly in the Dormitory.
Feeling the warmth of Hermione's embrace, Amanda leaned in and rubbed against her affectionately for a moment, but then straightened her body in the next instant.
"I need to find Harry."
"Find Harry? Why? He's fine."
Though confused, Hermione still got a pair of her own socks for Amanda and picked up another wizard robe for herself, preparing to go to the boys' Dormitory next door with her.
"Sirius Black just sneaked in and escaped. It's very likely he hasn't gone far or is lingering nearby."
Amanda paused slightly here, then leaned close to Hermione's ear and whispered, "And Harry has the marauders map. We can use it to check if Sirius Black is still nearby."
Only a few of them knew about the marauders map, so Amanda still took the initiative to keep the secret for Harry.
"Right!"
Hermione's eyes brightened instantly. They could use the marauders map to track Sirius Black's movements, as long as he hadn't gone too far.
As long as he hadn't walked out of the range displayed by the marauders map.
Thinking of this, the two girls immediately set off, walking quickly from the girls' Dormitory to the boys' Dormitory and knocking on the door.
"Harry, Harry, open the door quickly, it's me and Amanda."
Hermione's shout sounded outside the door. Harry, who was comforting Ron, was immediately stunned upon hearing it.
Hermione? Why did she come from the girls' Dormitory? And even Amanda? Shouldn't she be in Ravenclaw Tower?
Standing up and walking to the door, Harry stopped and asked cautiously.
"Hermione, what did we protect in our first year?"
Hearing Harry's question, Hermione immediately understood his intent. He was afraid that she and Amanda were someone else in disguise.
"The Philosopher's Stone, from Professor Quirrell. He was a two-faced man with You-Know-Who on the back of his head."
"Alright, alright, say no more, come in."
As soon as he heard Hermione mention Voldemort on the back of Professor Quirrell's head, Harry immediately recalled that nauseating image. He really regretted asking Hermione that question; he should have chosen a different one.
The door was opened, and Amanda and Hermione quickly walked in.
Before Harry could even close the door, Amanda turned back to look at him. "Harry, where is the marauders map?"
